  1. I was going to say, Ravens 77, Bills 27 with a last second field goal. But, reading this post got me motivated again. They need a win, and we do, need to start improving. Now. So, go Bills! Can Fitzpatrick have a big day against the Ravens?
  2. But what if Fitzpatrick is the guy, what if he plays at a high level throughout this season? You don't know that he won't, and maybe he will. The guy is 27 and has not played that much. And he's getting better looks to have even more upside possibly. So your argument falls apart, as we need to see what RF has now--he's earned that and it is in the best interest of the team. You may be one who thinks 0-16, 1-15, 2-14, 3-13... are acceptable, realistic, the best thing for the team. I still have hope that this could become a good team, this year, as the offense is improving. They don't have the players to play the 3-4, too many are playing out of position (--Kelsay as a linebacker!?), and may need a new defensive coach soon. Bruce Dehaven needs to do better, needs his players to play smarter--only saw pieces of the game, but it seemed like those long kick returns were key. But one part of the team looked better. Okay, so maybe I wouldn't bet on the Bills becoming good this year! But I know if they get better now, they are improving, that they will be more likely to have a good year next year. Playing well this year is in the best interest of this team. If that is not the Bills mentality as well, this won't just be a long year, but another long decade.
  3. He has a 100 rating and has thrown 2 touchdown passes in each of his games--he looks like an NFL quarterback now via his arm accuracy, decision making, toughness, and leadership. Yup, time to move on, time to weaken this team more. Maybe another 3rd round pick? 4th? Why not Fitzpatrick? He looks good, doesn't look like a backup quarterback now. If he keeps playing like this, the Bills will have found their quarterback of the future. This is something Bills fans should then rejoice in, as they can then address their fundamental line problems in the draft and free agency. And he's 27, will keep improving. Yup, time to move on, and begin the Brian Brohm/Levi Brown era. The scary thing is, the Bills front office tends to do the same outrageous things those irrational posters on this board say to do. Like they are horrible video game players, trashing a 1/2 billion dollar team..
  4. Firstrow.net is the link I can get to work, not adt ..whatever, but maybe my computer. 10-0, baby...can you say 12-4?
  5. I decided I would in fact still watch the Bills play, now that Sunday is here. Any new Internet links that may be reliable?
  6. But here is the thing, the most discourging point: the Bills could've had a high quality offensive tackle (or defensive end) in this year's draft instead of Spiller. They are supposed to be rebuilding. A 24 year old running back with some of the best lateral moves in the NFL and extreme toughness, and one now seeming to both find his holes and wait for the blocks, is exactly what this team needs. The moves make no sense--this could've been a team that took progressive--and maybe signifcant steps-- forward this year, but instead, they regress again, bottom out even more. Go Bears and Seahawks!
  7. Jaguars 59 and Bills 10, with a last minute field goal. Yeah, still pissed off.
  8. Yeah, good analysis--the Bears offensive line made the Bills look like the second coming of the Electric Company--what did they sack Cutler, 9 times!? Get real--Collins is the only Bills quarterback of the last decade plus to still be playing and there is a reason for that, a reason that the Bears pleaded with him to be their backup.
  9. Laughed out loud when I read your topic line.. Go Seahawks!
  10. Want to wager? I believe Lynch is one of the best backs in the NFL, that he is just about to really hit his stride. Name it, I will likely bet ya. 1,000 yards in the rest of the games? Go Seahawks!
  11. Exactly--and he was the first round pick just three years ago! It was a jail break against the Jets, with Fitzpatrick almost never having a chance to even set up in the pocket. And we get another running back instead of an offensive tackle? When we likely have a superstar already, albeit, one who had not been used properly to this point? The upside of the Spiller move? We had what could potential be the best running back combo in the league, with Lynch and Spiller. But they get rid of Lynch! So, no sense here, the 2-14 Bills all over again. I agree with your prediction--Lynch is a pro bowl caliber player, the kind that will dominate for years and years. Seattle just made one of the best 'trades' ever in the NFL. Go Seahawks!
  12. One of the worst teams in the league got rid their best player, and he is 24 years old! it is like some on this board are plying a video game! Reality will prove you very wrong--I almost guarantee it. And it won't be years down the road, but weeks. I wonder what you will say after a few weeks of Lynch playing for the Seahwaks...
  13. When they got rid of Collins for Rob Johnson and gave two high picks, I was furious-Collins was going to be the quarterback to replace Kellly effectively. 13 years of many wasted high draft picks and mega money flushed away on one hack after another, I stand by that as the most detrimental move by the Bills in my lifetime. This is the second worst move. Trading a 24 year old stud of a running back for a first round pick would have been crazy, but to trade him for a fourth round pick makes this team's front office look remarkably similar to the incompetent yahoos here who turned the Bills into the joke of the NFL, before Polian arrived and cleaned house. (I remember one Polian insider saying that the scouting department was so bad when they arrived that they did not even hav a a file system for players.) This is the same team now, inept, incompetent, irrational, and squandering opportunities to become legitimate. They traded the best player on this team, one who will be a star in this league for years and years, for a fourth round pick. I have been extremely optimistic, almost always, when it came to the Bills 'turning the corner'. Now, I am completely disgusted by the Bills and have no faith. Any team making this bad of a move has almost no chance to become even competitive. Can you say 2-14? If they are lucky. Go Seahawks.
  14. In Syracuse it is 50 and sunny, a great day for football. I just realized,I really want to be in Buffalo today to watch this team take a step toward legitimacy. The Ralph will be going nuts today as Lynch turns it up again. If you are going, go nuts too--be loud and stand up! This young team will feed off that, get some turnovers and play up to their potential. A perfect day for a victory.
  15. I don't see a prediction thread.. The Bills offense is coming alive, showed signs in Green Bay and then last week they showed us what they can do. Why not Fitzpatrick? He looked like a more mature, accurate quarterback, making quick, excellent decisions for most of the game. And for those still calling for a trade of Lynch--he is the best player on this team, and will continue to find his holes, break tackles, and not go down easily as he runs through the Jets. The Bills would be a joke to entertain taking even a first round pick for their best player, and one just getting started. The Bills 30-13. Yeah, the injuries to Stroud and Edwards are a big concern, but if they can overcome that today, the Bills should get on track in a big way. Go Bills!
  16. My uncle in Georgia is too lazy to drive to a sports bar to watch the game. While this means he likely does not deserve to watch the game today, I don't want him to miss it, miss the Bills running game continue to come alive and run defense continue to improve, as the Bills demolish the patsies (30-17). So, if you know of a possible link for the game, please let me know! (I don't see another post with links.)
  17. BOOOO! Ultra negative post. Bills 20-17, as the offense comes to life, the run and the pass, and the Bills defense gets some turnovers. In any case, the Bills will be an improving team and a good one as they progress through the year.
  18. I hope that the Bills' current offensive line comes together. (If it does, this will be a good team this year.) And I lamented the loss of Peters, especially when there was no one to replace him. But this and other comments we have heard really make me reconsider my consternation with the Bills for getting rid of Peters. I can definitely see why Wilson and the Bills' front office did not dare give this guy a huge amount of money, no matter how much talent he may have.
  19. Yeah, it was probably that same exact reasoning that prevented Joe Gibbs, and then, Jim Zorn, from playing Collins rather than Campbell. In Zorn's case he saw with his own eyes what he had with Collins when Campbell went out (and saw what he had with Campbell) and still made Campbell the starter the next year. In my view, Campbell had never shown himself to be a starting caliber quarterback whereas Collins led the Redskins to their first real success in years. If Cutler doesn't perform, I say Lovie Smith goes with Collins. Had he stayed, Collins would have led the Bills to much more success than they experienced. He has the accuracy, leadership, toughness, and intelligence that NFl quarterbacks need, and he has proven himself in virtually every opportunity he has had since he was run out of Buffalo.
  20. Collins had another typical preseason for him--high percentage of passes completed, 9.0 yards per attempt, few mistakes, and passer rating over 100. His stats were similar in the four regular season games he played in Washington in 2007, leading them to the playoffs. With such an erratic and immature quarterback in Cutler, I think Lovie Smith finally gives Todd Collins the opportunity he deserves. If so, the Bears can make the playoffs.
  21. Do any predict that they will finish 2nd or 1st in AFC East? Make the playoffs? If so, please give me the links or the names. Less than one week until some squishing!
  22. HUH?? The question was, "how many plan on booing Edwards?" Then, the question in the actual 'post' was about the coaches--how is that the "same thing"?? Coaches booing Edwards is what you seem to mean in this post. Huh? As you said, at the outset of this, "Stupid is as..."
  23. What a stupid topic heading--and totally unrelated to the post! Why would anyone boo our starting quarterback this time of the year? We are not Philadelphia fans, although some on this board make them like grateful, rational fans. Why would anyone go to a game with the intent of booing their own starting qb? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
  24. Thanks--looks like I will have to watch it on the Internet somewhere.
