  1. Can the poster or someone clarify what is being asked in the poll, "Who get it?" The question needs to be clearer, I think. (For example, what is 'it'?)
  2. Thanks. Was thinking that had to be the case or teams could take advantage of it. Will now be interesting to see what the specific players are payed this year.
  3. If this is the case, then teams can use that to their advantage by offering significantly more if they really want to keep that player but don't want them on the current roster. For me, that leads to the question: Do the salaries on the practice squad count against the team's salary cap?
  4. Come on, open your eyes.
  5. Yes, and also, I too pick Bills because they are Bills. It is one of the reasons I stay away from fantasy football.
  6. Why? What facts and objective information made you do that? I too had hope that he could have a rebound year, but it seems like a bad move unless it was in a late round, a big risk.
  7. More super crazy talk here... The Bills will go 1-6 because they cut a back who averaged 3.2 yards a carry last year! That will cause the bottom to fall out and they will be one of the worst teams in the NFL now. Super nuts.
  8. More than ridiculous here. The Bills cut a player who showed significant decline. During the Levy years, one of the hallmarks of the team is that they almost always cut players on the decline and brought in a stronger option. You are letting emotion guide you rather than the facts.
  9. What crazy talk this is... He averaged 3.2 yards a carry last year.
  10. Ridiculous. Open your eyes.
  11. Nope. Gore is the backup only.
  12. Come on!! No way.
  13. Yup. So lacking in objectivity, as people too often just rely on the past rather than see what is so clear right in front of their eyes..
  14. Pretty clear that it is Singletary, as Gore is a back up at 36. I
  15. Thanks. I am using the NFL.com page and no mention of that, although they just added Shady. Surprised and hope they sign him to the practice squad.
  16. A good thing probably, as this means Marcus Murphy will be on the roster, a player with a lot more juice and one just getting started. So, it looks like this is how things break down in this order: Singletary as the main back, Gore/Murphy, Yeldon, third down back. With it unlikely that either McCoy and Gore as Bills next year, the Bills are doing the right thing. But this is not a move just for the future, but this year. If the Bills thought that McCoy would be more productive than Murphy than this would not have been done. But very surprising that there was NO interest in McCoy! So much for Beane the magician on this one. Maybe his personal conduct the last few years has raised too many questions?
  17. The Bills get a 6th round pick for a player to be cut tomorrow. Great move, getting something for nothing. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001045773/article/patriots-trading-for-bills-center-russell-bodine
  18. Is this post supposed to be a joke of some kind? He was suspended for two games to start the season months ago!!!! I have never asked for a thread to be closed, but this extremely misleading (and confusing) OP should be stopped right now to avoid more from receiving this extremely misleading information.
  19. Funny, and I wonder how common dislike for him is? I am not a fan either. He reminds me a little of McNab, seemingly much more interested in his commercials, endorsements, than his job, what should be his passion. I think I started disliking him as his awful insurance commercials proliferated. And because the national media seems to worship him. The good thing is that I don't think he will ever be back in a Super Bowl. Personally, he doesn't seem to have the passion or drive to lead a team deep into the playoffs. Favre was a much better representative for the Packers and Green Bay, in my opinion.
  20. Yes, many things are worse. But when it comes to sports talk, nothing is more boring and tedious.
  21. Wow, I would very embarrassed if I was #5, going down so easily. His parents should be equally ashamed. They need to toughen that kid up.
  22. yeah, but I think he was a defensive player in college, at Notre Dame. And the Giants converted him from defensive to offensive tackle. He only started playing offense a few years ago. Thanks. But I wonder if that was for his ability as a defensive player rather than offensive?
  23. But PFF graded Ryan Bates? So stats are available, I assume. So, are those kinds of stats available for all players?
  24. I tried looking up preseason stats but cannot find any (I didn't look too hard).
  25. Same here and I assume many are thinking this. It is because there are so many good players on the team compared to previous years. And because the Bills are viewed as a team on the rise, much improved, and we all want to see them take a big step forward this year. The right or wrong move now could make a big difference. I think this year the 4th preseason game may be significant. I know I am looking forward to it, which is not often the case.
