Anthony Lynn: Backs Tyrod as Starter
Mister Defense replied to BullBuchanan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come on! It is simply coach speak for 'we like Tyrod, think he is a good teammate, a capable backup, but he is done as our starter'. Tyrod knows this, of course, as he heard almost the same exact things after Mayfield was drafted in Cleveland and before he lost his job in Buffalo. He will continue to have a great career as a backup, earn lots of money, and retire rich and healthy. -
Did The Bills Lose The Most Talent On Cut Day?
Mister Defense replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, that seems likely--but that seems like a good sign, as it indicates how much talent and depth, overall, the Bills have. We all knew that good players would now needed to be cut. But, it seems many of those players will now be signed today, Sunday, anyway. -
Barnwell - Bills biggest achilles heel
Mister Defense replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just another ignorant opinion. For example, he says, "The Bills were at their best last season when Allen was mostly staying out of the way and focusing on protecting the football at the expense of taking shots downfield." Allen led the NFL in both game winning drives and fourth quarter comebacks, as a 2nd year quarterback, and in his first full year as a starter. I am open to listening to criticism of Allen, but this, like so much of it is simply based on ignorance. (Honestly, I really think some sports writers don't like his down to earth, humble approach to things.) "Staying out of the way" and the facts, are not congruent at all. Allen was the clear leader of this team, and his late game performance indicates he was not merely a game manager, or worse, an obstacle on an otherwise great team, but an integral part of their playoff season last year. -
Well, look at the video again--okay that our franchise quarterback is doing something so stupid, so negligent? I will contradict myself when I said this is unlike Allen--as later I was thinking about him pitching the ball back against Houston. Everyone called him out for that, how reckless that was. We should do the same here, for the same reason, so he doesn't put his own life and the life of others in jeopardy. (And, more importantly, the Bills season!) I have huge respect for Josh Allen as a player, person, and leader, but that doesn't mean I should not call BS after seeing this video: https://twitter.com/BuffRumblings/status/1299816077682245632 Don't you think McDermott did the same? Wouldn't you if you were his coach?
-
I'm not thinking of the legality, which is questionable actually, but it seems like a very stupid thing to do--he is driving a car on a street with traffic and also filming a video as he does so. Doing something stupid like this seems out of character for him. Unless it was a self driving car. We should start a Go fund me page, if not, and buy him one.

Singletary Moss touches
Mister Defense replied to thunderingsquid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is your reasoning? We have good knowledge of how Singletary performs in the NFl. His statistics, and what we see with our own eyes, indicate that he is an excellent player, and can soon become one of the best at his position. He had almost 1,000 yards rushing and receiving last year as he shared playing time (too often) with Gore. 5.1 yards per carry; super quick and elusive in the hole, surprising power, and a good receiver. With each component of the offense seemingly improved this off season--wide receivers, running backs, offensive line, and quarterback--if Singletary plays merely as well as last year (but he'll be better--it is only his second year...) he could have Pro Bowl caliber stats. But, they hopefully hit with Moss too--this would be a rocking team for the next few years if Moss plays in the NFL, like he played in college. And this coaching staff is excellent at bringing out the best in their players. Why do you think Moss will get more playing time? -
Okay, thanks, but I did not know that sex trafficking was part of this situation when I posted that on page 1. I simply remembered I thought it was pathetic at the time to arrest and humiliate a 79 year old widower for getting some hands on attention... no matter how much I dislike his team and their dominance over the Bills for the last two decades. But, like I said, I did not know that there was more to this situation, real and serious crimes just under the surface. Shows me what I have always known, and usually practice--to read and get the details before reacting...

What a waste of taxpayers' money and of law enforcement resources for them to have done this sting operation in the first place--cameras set up in these massage parlors to catch these transactions! Can you imagine how much time and money was spent on this nonsense? Detectives, cops, prosecutors...all wasting their time and our money while real crimes are happening. No one cares. Kraft is a 79 year old widower. Who gives a flying shi* if he pays a few bucks for some sex acts? Anyone? He is 79; good to see he is still in the game. (Should he go to the local bar and try to pick up women there?) Even if you hate Kraft and his team, this news is good news, as maybe now they will end this nonsense and focus on real crimes that actually undermine society. And maybe they won't waste our money and resources on such BS again.

Thanks, but why? What is your reasoning for doing that? Why would you stop watching the Bills if players do this?
-
Can you clarify, please? What exactly do you mean by "done"? With what?? Life? The Bills? Football? And then, why are you done with life, the Bills, football, or whatever it is you are done with? Please respond! It is a very cryptic and vague post, so fill things in for us.

Nice factsl to back yourself up... Prescott, with MUCH superior talent and a much more committed organization around him--one playoff win. Ignorance is bliss, though, huh? If so, FireChans is livin' the dream...
-
No way, and I bet that after this upcoming year almost no GM would even consider this. Prescott seems to need everything on his team/offense to go almost perfectly for him to win (usually), while Allen does not, can help his team overcome obstacles, and lead them to victories despite the obstacles they face in the game. And Allen is going to get better and better at this as his knowledge and skills improve. While the devil may be in the details of why Prescott declined over 35 million dollars a year, his lack of self awareness, and greed, also makes this a no brainer--Allen will sign for less than he is worth, and I think we will see this clearly in his 2nd contract, as he won't want to sacrifice his team, his teammates. Mark my words on that. I know that this does not happen, but I think Allen will be the exception. Though statistically you can make the argument that Prescott is the clear choice, watching the games provides a much different set of data. Allen, all of the way. I hope the Cowboys let Prescott leave. Andy Dalton gives them a much better chance of taking the next step than Prescott does.

Fauci: virus will decide season
Mister Defense replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, instead, let the super ignorant out for only their self interests, make the decisions now, again. Ignore the science, the facts, the experts. It is the same philosophy that will already cause 130, 000? 150,000? American deaths. Might as well further dig our heels in to one of the most incompetent, negligent, and immoral acts in human history. Looking to raise the ante, 200,000? 250, 000? -
Talk of no alcohol at NFL games this season.
Mister Defense replied to Jrb1979's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, you wouldn't want to go to a Bills game if there wasn't alcohol!? I can't believe that many feel likewise? The games are great, beer is not essential to that. And maybe a lot less fights too. Win. Win. -
Talk of no alcohol at NFL games this season.
Mister Defense replied to Jrb1979's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the contrary, it makes a lot of sense, is probably inevitable for sports events next year. Alcohol lowers our inhibitions, and the more we drink the more it lowers them. Hard to imagine thousands of people with a buzz, or drunk, paying attention to our new culture's standards, where social distancing and other mitigation efforts are essential (for a while). A joke, right? -
Final result of the Marcel Dareus trade for Buffalo:
Mister Defense replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice! Very well done. Two players that may end up having long and successful NFL careers. And maybe with the Bills. -
Okay, by the middle of this season you will will consider Josh Allen a high level talent and will never look back..

Bills 2020 Motto per McDermott "Find a Way"
Mister Defense replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't like it. It is an expression that is used in situations when you are up against it or desperate. Screw the strange motto; that in itself doesn't fit with this team. The motto should be: No More Mottos -
Come on!! Back that up!! Dalton played on awful teams lately, with low caliber talent and poor coaching. Name some backup quarterbacks in the NFL that are better than Andy Dalton--go ahead...
-
This would make sense if it was related to the defense of the teams in the division, not the quality of the quarterbacks. I cannot imagine Tom Brady being intimidated by any quarterback in the NFL; he has no reason to be, logically. BUT, I can see him being intimidated by a great defense, like the Bills have, 2nd best in the NFL, and which none of the teams in the NFC South have--the Bucs are the best there, 16th in the NFL.
-
At first I kind of discounted this topic, but then I started to think about it. While I don't think that this is the reason, Buffalo's defense did make The Greatest quaterback of All Time look like a below average quarterback last year. He was under duress. So while likely not the main reason, maybe it's one of the reasons. If you were an aging quarterback, one of the oldest to ever play in the NFL, would you want to play against the Bills two more times next year? And what if you were also the most successful quarterback ever, would you want to face this defense 2, maybe 3 times next year? The Bucs, 15th in the NFL in total defense, have the best defense in that division. So, makes sense. Brady isn't the best QB ever because of amazing physical attributes, but because of football intelligence and due diligence.
