  1. It seems that the Raiders would be better off finding a new quarterback, one that has the potential to win big in the NFL. Carr does not seem to be that guy, has never won a playoff game. I know his stats seem to paint a different picture, one of a top tier NFL quarterback, but that is not the case. I wonder if the teams that sign players like this know what everyone else knows, and that they just go with the easier, safer option. That is a huge amount of money for a middling, inconsistent quarterback/team leader.
  2. Well, we cannot move on from Miller, which will go down as one of the worst moves in the Bills franchise, as it will mean we cannot resign some of our very good young players in the coming years. Even when Miller is sitting at home, raking it in.
  3. I don't watch or hear what he says often, but the times I do it almost always seems Johnson says some stupid, illogical thing--like that. Almost no GM would trade Allen for anyone right now. Period. The only comparable player is Mahomes, in my view. Brady is 44, and Rodgers is a head case, not a leader of men. And Watson, well, good luck with that, Cleveland, and all that guaranteed money...
  4. Well, I am certain Zay Jones feels very differently tonight!
  5. Yes, McKenzie had a few very good games, but Beasley has had a slew of good games and big catches often in games where he did not have big yards. You'd have to admit, we really don't know if McKenzie can become a consistent threat in the slot. We think he can, as he shown flashes, and because he has been underutilized. But we don't know that he will be that kind of player. We do know what Beasley can do, and what he will likely do for a few more years. I know his stats were not great last year, but now the short game is going to be featured more, as the Bills learned the importance of that this year. Beasley will catch a lot of balls. Why roll the dice, and eliminate one of the Bill most important offensive players of the last 3 years?
  6. Wow, seems about 3 times too big with his 500+ passing yards and very low 67% catch percentage. Was just surprised to see Jones had 652 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Bills in 2018. He faded so fast the next year I had forgotten he had a good year for a 2nd year player, and played better as the season progressed. But 81 catches since he left the Bills. Seems like a good dude, so more power to him. May be a good fit with Kirk, and their QB should be better. So, you never know, I guess.
  7. Maybe, but I think the Bills want Beasley for at least one more year, as he has been a vital part of the Bills resurgence.
  8. Very good news; the first of hopefully many good things to come this off season. The fastest Bill, a player who has been under utilized and now till get the ball more. Mckenzie will become a much more integral part of this offense now. You can't lose McKenzie and Beasley, and I prefer they bring back Beasley too. A good and reasonable contract. Good leadership and locker room presence, another important trait.
  9. I wanted the Bills to get him a few years ago. Hunt and Singletary would give the Bills an excellent backfield. The Bills would take the next step in creating a dynamic running game. To me this is a no brainer if the price is right.
  10. But the Monday night team was hard to listen to; very boring, in my view. And the lack of quality broadcast voices, especially the two color guys, was part of it. Aikman is not a favorite of mine but he is a significant step up. MNF ratings will improve. If they can pair him up with Buck, the ratings will improve dramatically. And they will get better games to broadcast.
  11. No, why now?? Just when the Bills seem to have the organization and team to create their own dynasty? Makes no sense. And we should want the best coach in our division still--it made the Bills stronger and will continue to force them to sharpen the blade.
  12. Your stats a good indication of the need for both. They can indicate that a good passing game often relies on a good running game, and visa versa. Which three playoff teams don't have a top ten running game?
  13. Yes, a very good point, idea. And this coach and GM see this weakness and are looking for ways to really change it. That is how they operate--understand the team's weaknesses and then fix them. Imagine the success Josh Allen's teams will have in Buffalo whey they have a running game that matches their passing game and an offense that is always evolving. To make these things happen, they need that different perspective you suggest.
  14. No, to that cliche that this is a 'passing league now', and that the running game is not that vital, and that running backs are basically a dime a dozen. It is just the very illogical very bad common 'wisdom' that has permeated the media the last few years. People hear the nonsense, repeat it, and so it spreads. But that does not make it so. Of course that cliche we have all heard so often over the last few years does not make sense. We all saw that this year with the Bills--and in last year's AFC Championship game. Without a very solid running game a team is very unlikely to win it all. A great running game will likely power this year's Super Bowl winner as it did last year. The Bucs ran for almost 150 yards in last year's Super Bowl. They had a running game that prevented the Chiefs from teeing off on Brady the way they did to Allen. I was screaming from the rooftops last year to develop the running game, and all of this year too. Too many good teams in the NFL to not have a multi-dimensional team. So tonight, go Singletary, throw in some Moss, a little Bradea if he is active, and let the Bills wide receivers run tonight too. Run the ball, keep getting better at it, and then maybe, even coming to it soo late in the year, the Bills can still get good enough at doing so that they win the AFC.
  15. Great news!! Outdoor stadium, with grass! How football should be played. And hopefully in Orchard Park.
  16. Yes. He fails to use the talent around him, to see what he has, the way a great coach should. After the one dimensional nature of the offense last year, and the resulting inability to put up a strong effort against the Chiefs, allowing them to mercilessly key in on Allen, he started the year in the exact same way. We were screaming at The Ralph early in the Steelers game to run the f***ing ball!--with the running backs but he didn't do so until it was too late. It was as if what happened against the Chiefs never happened. Then, it took him most of this year to start creating a more multi-dimensional offense. While it is better late than never, I think it may have been too late for this team to reach its potential. Daboll has done some very good things and for that I am thankful, but I don't think he has good vision, creativity and the kind of high level coaching ability to use the players he has in the best way possible. I think it is pretty clear that this offense and team (and Allen and Singletary and Knox and Diggs... ) will not reach their potential, which is greatness, under Daboll. (I still think this team's talent can carry them to a championship this year, though, as will be shown tonight, 31-10.) But, I also think this is why he will not get a head coaching job this year and will remain with the Bills.
  17. Just like I said last week, it will be Singletary again. He made those first two drives what they were and then made key plays throughout the game. This time, against the Falcons, he will finally get the 25 touches he should get. And he will run for 100 yards too. Immediately last week it was clear the Pats had to respect the Bills running and short passing game, opening up the pass game.
  18. Devin Singletary will continue to establish himself as the Bills' primary running back after gaining over a 5 yards a carry on his first down runs against the Panthers. Between runs and catches he should touch the ball at least 25 times, and will get stronger as the game progresses, as most good featured backs do. More touches will play to his strengths--his elite vision, as he will learn more with each carry and establish a rhythm, and his motor. If the Bills are smart, and Dabol may not be, the Bills will spread the field and run from those formations. I don't know if the run will set up the pass or visa versa on Sunday, but this is what should happen. And what needs to happen if the Bills are to be true contenders again this year.
  19. Losing what may be our best player on defense will make us better because he did not play "lights out" (in your analysis) in two games? Carson Wentz was 11/20 for 106 yards. But even if you were accurate there, and White had an awful game against the Colts and Titans, it is radically illogical to say that losing their best defensive player, and one of the best corner backs in the NFL, will mean the Bills 'defense will actually get better'. Makes no sense. The Bills may be okay if they lose White for the year, and may rise to the challenge. But losing White would be a big obstacle to overcome.
  20. We turned down California drive off of Abott(?), and then soon on Southwestern, seemingly avoiding almost all of the traffic. Parked in large private lot on the corner. Checked out gates 5 and 6, and then found 7 was much less crowded. And then found that section 112 was right by the stadium exit. And, to me, great football weather. But bring on the snow. I don't think I have ever experienced as little traffic/delays in driving to the stadium, getting in, and then leaving as last Sunday. So, thanks for the advice from all, and WotAGuy. So, almost a perfect game last Sunday... Next Monday night it will be.
  21. Thanks for the detailed advice, I appreciate it! Go BILLS! (and no rain until 4)
  22. That's real helpful--I agree Fasteddie. Had a friend nicknamed that at Oswego..
  23. Cannot find a map online with the stadium seating that also includes the streets around the stadium, so... What is the best road to get into the stadium area, best street to park on if we choose private parking, and best gate to enter for these seats. I thought this would be the quickest and easiest way to get this info. Thanks! Go Bills: Bills 31-Colts 13
  24. Has to be sarcasm here, right? Gruden will get nothing, just humiliate himself and his family even more if that is possible.
