  1. Great news for the Bills! Brady took a declining, dysfunctional offense, one not scoring much in the first half, repeatedly forcing them to dig themselves out of holes, and where almost no players were rising to their potential, and overnight turned it into an efficient, diverse, more physical, run heavy offense capable moving the ball and scoring against any team. A dramatic turnaround, and in the middle of the season, when all of Dorsey's awful and incompetent habits were well ingrained and becoming the status quo. This spring and summer I hope he works very closely with Josh, Stef, Cook, Shakir... the line, and the tight ends to create the best offense in the league. If McDermott stays on as DC for one more year, and I think he will, the Bills may have two of the best coordinators in all of football.
  2. So you don't think he did a good job coaching the defense this year?
  3. We know who this guy is voting for in the next election, his role model, Lol! Probably has his face on all of his pillowcases.
  4. Yup, thank God that the Pegulas and Bean have a brain in their heads and know when they have a superb head coach.
  5. Thanks for the great data and analysis. I told people for the last year that he reminded me of Andre Reed, smooth, with great hands and excellent route running. And he trained with Moulds this past summer. I have been calling for much more of Shakir since last year and feel it is one the best examples of why Dorsey was so bad at his job--it was crystal clear that the guy needed to get more touches. See how he does and go from there. But he only started to use him when the public pressure on him mounted. The Bills could often not even get first downs, let alone score. Shakir is the kind of player who could have helped to get the team in gear, get drives going, but he was ignored. Unforgivable, as the season was slipping away.. They will get a great #1 in the draft, have Diggs #2, and Shakir in the slot++ How good that group could be depends on how good of a player they get in the draft. But I think that will be a superb trio. It should have happened this past year as they clearly needed a better starting wide out.
  6. This is a great example of what I said in my post about the OP. Yup, he was out-coached this year in two games, and one was the first Pats game. Yes, that is true, that that one game was not his best game, outmatched by the greatest coach of all time. See what I mean? They take one tiny piece and use that, or a few of those, to scream for years that McDermott is a bad coach, ignoring the huge amount of varied evidence that he is an excellent coach. Ignorance of the worst kind--will full ignorance And the other thing they do? They call him silly, immature idiotic names (see above), as if they were in 4th grade. Who does that? I think it is pretty clear who most of them worship politically, as they follow his lead in the way they attack and their supreme immaturity.
  7. How can you not do what you say above if you just irrationally hate the guy, and likely, just hate winners or successful people? Because that is exactly what they, the haters of McD, do--'did you see that one play where he didn't call a time out when I think he needed too!!!!!! Fire him now!!!" or, for Josh, pointing to 1-2 plays of his in a game and saying,"See that!! Josh is the problem!! Trade for Zak!!!!' As what I bolded above is exactly how they (the irrational haters) operate, which, ironically, means it is the opposite of real evidence and logic guiding them, despite the OP's implication that he is directed by that and the those who understand just how good of coach we have (the vast, vast majority of Bills' fans) are not. So to answer your question, that is exactly what they do, how they operate. So his post makes sense, as that is how they see things. McDermott could have won the SB this year and do you have any doubt that they would start in with their hate as soon as the next season began or sooner? Of course they would have--and will... They can likely thank their lucky stars that the real world--and their own bosses (hopefully) have a more rational way of looking at things.
  8. obviously so many to choose from for any with even a partial brain, but... Just this year, realizing he made a horrible choice in Dorsey and firing him in the middle of the season, knowing Dorsey was incapable, and clearly listening to his QB and players on this move. Saved the season, became what they were destined to be this year, one of the top teams in the league. Went from 6-6 to 7-1, an almost miraculous turn around. And taking a defense missing some of its best players at every level and somehow making it into not just a passable defense, but molding it into a championship level one. If a g good coach's primary goal is to win by moving his players to their maximum potential, then he may be the best in the league right now based on the evidence from this year alone, a remarkable achievement. After seeing what he did this year there is no current head NFL coach I would rather have for next year.
  9. Hoping Tua is paid like a king, with the biggest contract ever--he deserves it! And then, less money the other fish for years... He is soo scary, has McDermott's number obviously, and deserves at least 45-50 million a year, guaranteed. But Jerry is old and afraid of dying before he gets a his non-Jimmy (never going to happen) SB victory, so will likely pay ol' Zak @ 50 million a year. Yikes. Sad, as I think Jerry has to know that Zak is incapable of winning a big game, let alone the Super Bowl.
  10. No thanks to the ones in bold. Every time I watched Evans this year he was dropping balls and such. Last thing this team needs is a one year, aging, inconsistent #@--rather have Davis back. Higgins seems to be a media darling but had an off year. Injury riddled year, maybe, but no thanks. Two in the draft and the best free agent available, a guy with a very high percentage catch rate--which of these has that? Randall Cobb! Yikes on that.
  11. After his masterful job of coaching the injury riddled defense to be one of the best in the NFL, it almost seems inevitable that he will do that again next year too. Next year, from day one, we will have a top 3 D coordinator, what seems to be an excellent, dynamic OC, and one of the best head coaches in the NFL. I cannot wait for the season to start!
  12. Nice, will add the competition in the AFC and, most importantly, to the AFC West. And puts an end to the tiny fraction of Bills' fans who want our coach fired and Harbaugh to replace him.
  13. The great news for the Bills and their true fans is that the Pegulas and Beane seem to feel the same way--one of the top head coaches and defensive coordinators in the NFL, and he clearly took yet another step forward this year. He did one of the top coaching jobs in the league this year by almost any standard.
  14. You have some of the most interestingly worded posts on this board! Very consistent in their quality. Heck no, as many feel like I do--lucky --and happy--that we have one of the top coaches in the NFL and will likely be a championship contender as long as he is here. And win several Super Bowls, if not the 8 Josh predicted! How many teams in the NFL can say that?
  15. Minus the vital drops the offense played a very good game against one of the best defenses in the game. You must have watched a different game if you say, Why is it so goddamn hard for our offense to make a single play? They need two great receivers and a tough, every down physical back on offense and will compete next year for a championship.
  16. No, it was one of McDermott's best years as a coach. This team does not nee a reload or redo, but some more pieces now that they clearly have two of the best coordinators in the league.
  17. Wideouts let Bills Down: Who are the best wide receivers in the draft and free agency? As we need to look to the future now
  18. So you have zero to say about his coaching in this loss? It seems that you'd have a several facts, observations, about this game to call for his firing after this game--but you have zero?? None in your OP and none in your response to me.
  19. Why zero reasons given for your contention, beyond the loss of the game? Why, after this game, is this so cemented in your head? Is it because of anything specific to this game, his coaching in it, or more based on previous ideas and your hatred for him in general? You say, "I have saw enough of the McDermott experience" but don't tell us what it was about this game that added to your ideas--what are they? What 'have you saw' in this game?
  20. Yes, as they played a very good game, even on defense considering their loss of key players. Their offense was very good to excellent for most of the game but... those three drops of great long Allen passes to Sherfield and then Diggs, more than the long missed field goal, were the game. I have been saying the #1, with a bullet, most vital need in the draft was wide receiver. This game made that even more clear. First round pick needs to be the best wide receiver available, then another one in the first 4 rounds, along with a big, fast all around back. Josh needs more weapons, clearly. In the end the Bills could not compensate for their injuries on defense and don't have enough weapons on offense, which will be addressed this off season. But I feel extremely confident in most other aspects of this team for next year. That, the last 8 weeks, and the game they played tonight, make this one a little easier to take.
  21. That is so well said, and that is true from beginning to end. Who could not agree with sharp, clear analysis such as "and take that back to Carolina and of course balanced for Josh" and "if leaned and grew in just a few ways would be elite". Dorsey is clearly "ahead of Brady" as you so clearly state.
  22. there you go, even more proof than has already been layed out in this thread, that Dorey was not the problem at all. A huuge mistake by Sean--will likely cost him his own job after the Bills complete this championship run. Thank you for adding that sharp take, info.
  23. So0 true--MCDermott just happened to get monumentally lucky that Brady's offense is so much more consistent and productive than Dorsey's this year, and that they have won almost every game since the change. Guys like McDermott always seem to get lucky like that, and that is why he is hated by some. One day that jerk Sean will get his too, and be fired, just like he shamelessly fired Dorsey for no good reason at all. You nailed it soo well, as it was all about McDermott forcing poor Dorsey to his dirty work. Honestly, Dorsey was one of a kind--and I hope the Browns, or even the Patriots get him for next year. The Pats really should consider it, though it would strike fear in any Bills' fan with half a brain. But I hope the Pegulas wait to fire ol' Sean (and the very lucky Brady) until after this almost miraculous turn around, playoff and championship run is complete!
  24. "Quite good" is an understatement! And no 'risk' at all, as Dorsey is almost a sure thing. And a raw deal here indeed, as any reasonable thinker would have to agree. Soo unfair the way he was treated here, as he was clearly leading this offense to greatness, getting the best out of his players, and, most importantly, the offense showing improvement here week after week after week... I am still hoping the Bills can find their way back to that glory and success they had under Dorsey. (Maybe Brady will get together with him in the off season to pick his brain?) In my view, they have just had historically good luck since he left and it is just a major coincidence that they went from 6-6 under Dorsey this year, to 7-1 under Brady. The luck of the draw. Any fool can clearly see that. Get it done, Browns!
  25. Yes! Yes! Amazing at the X's and O's of game planning!! Both before the game and during. A football genius. Have not seen anything like it on the Bills for years.
