  1. Great, give him more playing time. Need a good blowout or two, thought it may last week, to give guys like this some playing time to see what they can do.
  2. So, from what you have seen from Brady, the resurrecting of the Bills' offense overnight, the 13-3 record since he took over, the resurrection of the Bills ground game, one of the best offenses in the NFL this year, even after significant off season changes etcetera etcetera etcetera... You would "dump Brady" with, literally no thought whatsover, as you say, in less than a second, in a "nano second"? So, to you, Brady has been soo bad as the Bills' OC, you would not even have to THINK about a move to Stefanski, not even consider any of the objective information available, no stats, no evidence of Brady's tenure as the OC, don't need to weigh the pros and cons of both men as OCs, not consider what Brady has done so far? At all. And ditto for Stefanski--what he has done so far as an OC is soo good to you, so superb, so superlative, that you would not even need to think about firing Brady and replacing him with Stefanski? For you, a "nano second" is all you need to make this major decision? So, that clearly implies no thoughts needed, no consideration of any facts, evidence, comparison, and basic reasoning needed? You would automatically do this without any consideration? Why? One would think with such a definitive point of you, and no thoughts or consideration on this move needed, that there would be something that caused this to happen inside your head. But none are spoken of in your post. What leads you to your decision? Can you tell us why?
  3. ??? I am very confused by this.. I get home after being away most of the day, assuming Beane and the Bills' leaders have read this thread and that it has helped them to NOW finally decide what move to make, what player(s) to trade for. But then I look at the list of NFL transactions for today---and see the Bills have done nothing at all!! No trades at all! WTF?
  4. Makes zero sense to think that getting rid of Brady and replacing him, after taking a moribund offense that was lost, confused, desperate, and regressing, and turning it completely around over night, and ending the season almost going undefeated save for a 59 yard field goal... and after going 13-3 in his first 16 games, and, this year, 7-2, with a revamped offense, with almost all new wide receivers, and turning it into one of the best, most dynamic offenses in the league, in both their running and passing... and top 5 in points per game... and somehow, knowing all of these things, all of these facts (strange things, these facts, eh?) thinking: 'Hmm, it seems we could do better, move on from this guy now. This is clearly an area of our team we must get better at than this." Only dumb and extremely incompetent GMs, and clearly with some kind of personal axe to grind, would think this makes sense. And GMs, people, with no sense whatsoever. Ludicrous. Not saying Brady is the 2nd coming of Reid now, but hard to imagine a much better start to his tenure here as OC. Any GM or business owner with the philosophy you suggest, and in a case like this, would surely lead their team or business directly into the ground. Yup, you always want to make your team or business or school, or whatever it is, better, better than good, great, but you will not ever get there by doing supremely illogical things. And just throwing all of the objective evidence out the window as you make decisions.
  5. Thankfully the Bills' brass would not do that, are not stupid. With the Bills having the 5th most points per game this year. And being 13-3 in the regular season since Brady took over. We can all thank our lucky stars the Bills would never be that ignorant, that illogical. That is what bad teams do, make stupid moves that don't make any sense. How can anyone not think Brady has done a superb job? And this year, with a revamped offense, not only not missing a beat, but becoming even better, more diverse, more physical and dynamic on offense. And Allen having one of his best years.
  6. I agree they need a pass rusher, as THAT can be the missing piece too. So, if what you say is correct, seems a player like Azeez Ojulari? If Tua can have his way with this defense, other good passing and running times will too--Detroit, KC, Baltimore, Phiii..
  7. Being lazy, want others to do the work for me.. Can you give a bit about each, the strengths and their size? This will also likely help Beane, as he is probably pouring over these posts to help him make his decision.
  8. Seems like a bargain, will be. But hey, if the Giants were inexplicably dumb enough to pay what is clearly a career backup QB 40 million a year, they may be dumb enough to get rid of Lawrence too.
  9. I agree. But what about a younger player like Dexter Lawrence? Do you think he has the same kind of upside as Garret, as far as being a guy who could upend offenses on a regular basis? And at 26 years old. But that also would seem to make him a much tougher, if not impossible, guy to get.
  10. Heck yeah on Lawrence. But why in the world would any team get rid of him for only a first rounder? Would take two first rounders, and a good player or two or three, in all likelihood, as he is 6' 4' and 340 pounds--and 26. That is if the Giants are silly enough to part with such a rising and complete player. They need some good players to lure in a high quality head coach in the off season. But he may be my first choice because of his size, age, production, and potential. The missing link for the Bills, could make them the new dominant team in the AFC--and NFL.
  11. Yup. And the cutting of his back up is likely evidence that this was the case.
  12. How much do you know about Azeez Ojulari? Giants, and likely Daboll, are done now, so a fire sale is likely these next two days, to some degree. What is this guy good at? Mainly as a pass rusher or is there even more there? Not big, so I assume it is more as a pass rusher, which is fine by me--almost zero pressure on Tua and so he ate them up. Mahomes, Stafford, and Goff coming soon... and then some of those maybe again.. Ojulari seems to have gotten a good amount of pressure in a limited roll. And is 24. Seems like one of the most likely Beane targets, especially since it is the Giants.
  13. A joke? Or do you really think he is that good, has that much potential? I have no idea!
  14. Yes, I agree--as they will not be able to get a player like Garret in the draft where they pick unless they get lucky. Ditto for free agents. They have not gotten lucky so far and cannot keep rolling the dice. A player like Garrett, but preferably younger, but I would take Garrett, for some significant draft capital is something I agree with. I never thought that Miller was that guy, and that is why I disliked that move so much. Huge money for an (old) guy who was never ever going to be that player the Bills most need. Time for this to happen. A big move. It will also show Allen and the team that it is happening THIS year, now. And will motivate this team even more. We will know soon. Two days!!
  15. Agree with the first point, as Carter looks very good for a rookie. But I hope you are wrong that they won't resolve this clear problem now. At least to some degree. Who knows what happens next year as far as the overall quality of the team. We can expect it be very good, again, but you never know. One injury can wreck a team. We see what we have now, the progression, the quality, and the potential. To me, it is all about now, this year. Don't mortgage the future, but explore every possibility to make the team better, to eliminate weaknesses. Now.
  16. I did not realize Jones was demoted, mid game. A good sign, to me, that Beane will not stand still on these last two trade days. Jones was supposed to be our best run stuffer..
  17. Did everyone see the footage after the kick, with Martin repeatedly kissing Bass on the sideline? Like he was kissing his son after a great accomplishment. Great to see, and that, along with Josh breaking down a little speaking about it after the game, showed me why this team is so consistent--and so good for so long. And makes me believe they can win it all this year. With Bass nailing another game winning field goal, but this time in the 2nd quarter, please!
  18. When in the game was it? The CBS announcer, Harlan?, said it today after he made the 61 yard field goal to win the game.
  19. great minds think alike! Posted mine and then saw this right above it. It is an omen, or whatever a positive word for omen may be.
  20. Just checked... Ted Washington is only 56. Not sure if he can even walk anymore as he played 17 years, I think, and until he was almost 40. But even if not, the Bills can get a (giant) wheel barrow, and just wheel him out there, dump him on the line, and he will stop the run. Then wheel him off again, etcetera. I think I saw Mike Tyson is fighting someone again, and he is 58.
  21. Yes, possibly, as far as Lawrence is concerned. But at 32, the Bills will not give up much to get him. I have zero confidence Milano will add anything this year, as it will be almost two years since he has played. Cannot cross our fingers and hope--that is what weak teams do. But, of course, Milano at full strength would be a grrrreat surprise to end the year.
  22. Do you think that the Bills are of the same mindset, that this is a need, not a want? And so that they are seriously considering players like Joseph-Day and others? Gotta keep improving, eliminating weaknesses. I cannot imagine Beane or McDermott being satisfied with this as it stands and only hoping for the best--and not believe that this may be a missing link right here, right now. Great! Hope you are right. And the good thing is, as far as a trade is concerned, that we only have to wait a short time to see what they do.
  23. I am going with "right decision"!! The guy is 16 for 16 on kicks to tie or win a game. I did not realize that until today. Those are decent odds, don't you think?
  24. Well, I think he is worth a shot. Seems to improve defenses when he shows up, surprised that the Ravens let him go. Process smoshess, time to win it all. A 5th! They should consider him. It would be great to have an option like that in this team, as they do not now.
  25. Overall, I agree. That is why I say they have to get someone, or we will be lamenting that they did not do so this season. Great teams do that, they don't just stand pat and hope for the best.
