  1. Kinda takes the wind out of the sails of the "kill'em all" bunch, doesn't it?
  2. Happy Veterans Day to everyone who has served!!
  3. I may take you up on that.
  4. I think it was DC Tom who pointed out (when this was posted previously) that it is obvious that the income would favor blue states, since income is tied to cost of living for that area and that area has the highest cost of living. This would negate any meaningful analysis of income as it relates to the hypothesis of voting patterns.
  5. I don't think the Dems got that memo, Mickey.
  6. 1. Reform Judaism (100%) 2. Sikhism (97%) 3. Orthodox Judaism (89%) 4. Bahá'í Faith (85%) 5. Islam (78%)
  7. You will not be disappointed.
  8. I am guessing that you didn't mean to quote yourself on this.
  9. Sounds like something Fox would do. Hey, it is sweeps month, so it could be perfect.
  10. It would suck to be the people executed via captial punishment, but hey, what are you going to do? You also would need to get rid of "Thou shall not steal." By scrapping just these two, you will clear up a lot of jail space. I guess we would have to look at the 9th Commandment as well "Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor." We can get rid of those pesky perjury laws.
  11. Do you agree that the Chair helps set the tone of the Party?
  12. Shouldn't this thread be on the Consumer Forum?
  13. Calm down, children.
  14. So, they can be Christian, as long as they are not conservatives. Again:
  15. He can be Catholic, but as long as he is not Christian?
  16. I think that it is one of my textbooks for an upcoming course. It looks familiar. BTW, I start the next course December 6th. Intelligence and Weapons of Mass Destruction. I am looking forward to it.
  17. Well, they need to find some better candidates, if they want to win. I am not happy with the PA Libertarian party because of Arthur Farnsworth. He is the Bucks County contact person, the treasurer of the PA Lib Party, and ran for Greenwood's seat in the 8th District. It seems like Mr. Farnsworth stopped paying his taxes in the mid to late 90's and the feds paid him a little visit. I am sorry, but any party that puts a guy like this in a position of power where he controls the party's financial dealings, is scary. They also have Jay Russell, who was trying to run for multiple seats this past election. Kinda ruins any credibility you have, when you pull this kind of stuff. I am sorry, but they need some work before I could support them.
  18. I agree. It was a great book. Highly recommended.
  19. I blame most of it on the radicals in the party, since they are the ones who are the most vocal. The moderates need to become more vocal, and show that they are the direction of the party, not the radicals. The same goes for the Republicans. They need to have the moderates become more vocal, or they will suffer the same fate as the Dems.
  20. Wow...you are so far off the deep end.....I served 20 years iin the USN..i was part of the Gulf War I..and I'm a coward???? I was simply stating that eventhough we are attacking Fallujah....the terrorism will not stop..acts of terrorism will continue in the region...re-read the post will you....and how have you served your country??....you are a true hypocrite calling me a coward.....when you sleep all comfy at night..I was on watch protecting your freedoms....you ungrateful idiot 111199[/snapback] Ummm...JSP is a veteran.
  21. They couldn't challenge their authority. What would happen is that the Republican Party will take things too far, and alienate the moderate voters. This will push them to find alternatives, which will chip away at their power.
  22. They lost to an EXTREMELY beatable candidate in Bush. They have continued to lose seats in Congress. After this election, they still have not grasped why they lost. Instead of looking within themselve to find how they can better connect with the American people, they just blame it on people being too stupid to buy into their rhetoric. Until they start to grasp why they lost, they will continue to lose and as long as they just continue down the same path (or worse yet, become more bitter and hateful) they will lose more and more control. I am not seeing the necessary changes from within the party to say that they can turn the corner. They are continuing down the same destructive path.
  23. Sox. Why?
  24. ...and this statistic comes from what?
  25. If you want something on Lincoln, I highly recommend this book: Lincoln Thingy Another book (if you want to stay away from political stuff): Sir Edmund Hillary Thingy
