  1. Chris Brown (bb.com) said in his blog today:

NICK HARPER DONE VISITING: Colts free agent CB Nick Harper is done making free agent visits, having not made a trip to Buffalo. The 31-year old cornerback likely does not fit the age profile of free agents that the Bills typically pursue, and injuries began to catch up with him last season. In most cases Buffalo doesn't look at many free agents over the age of 28. Jason Whittle was an exception this offseason.

Oh well...it was a nice idea

  2. ***TRADE #12 to NYG for their 1st and 2nd round picks..***

    1.) LB Paul Posluszny

He is an absolute beast at LB and he has very high character. He has a "high motor" and is superbly competitive. He reminds me a lot of the beloved Teddy Bruschi.

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...lposluszny.html

    2a.) CB Aaron Ross

He had 6 picks last year, so he will bring some much needed intereception ability to the Bills. He has good size and leaping ability, also. He will come in and compete instantly for the #2/#3 corner spot.

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr.../aaronross.html

    2b.) RB Tony Hunt

He is a powerful, big, unselfish player. "Lauded by teammates for doing the “dirty work,” and “playing without the ball,” he does not set personal goals, instead focusing his only concern on improving and doing what he’s asked to do to win the game". He will be the #1 Running back for the Bills for a long, long time. Goodbye, Mr.McGahee.

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...b/tonyhunt.html

    3a.) RB/FB Brian Leonard

He is a very versatile back and will be a big part of the backfield. He's got power and speed. He is another blue collar guy, too. Now the Bills will have a true running back by "committee".

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...ianleonard.html

    3b.) WR Andrae Allison

He has good size and he's fast (4.39 40.) He will compete for the #2 WR spot.

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...raeallison.html

    4.) DT Ryan McBeam

He is a very athletic DT, who will fit in perfectly to this "small" DT rotation.

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...ryanmcbean.html

    6.) CB AJ Davis

He'll add depth to the corner spot.

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...cb/ajdavis.html

    7a.) FB Le'Ron MCclain

Great blocker, adds to FB depth.

    7b.) WR Matt Trannon

Basketball player too, I'd roll the dice on him any day of the week.

So, as you can see, the draft can solve many problems. The Bills first need was LB, well, Paul Posluszny would fill that void. The Bills 2nd need was corner. Aaron Ross would solve that issue and AJ Davis would add depth. Then, of course, there's the RB. A backfield with Hunt/Leonard/Thomas should scare the sh-- out of opposing defenses. With that being said, there is no need to worry folks. The bills have 8 draft picks and 4 needs.

I like your draft, although I dont see Leonard dropping that far, however, Draft Tek shows us taking Tony Hunt with first third round pick. If we stuck with your draft, according to Draft Tek we would have to take Leonard with the #51 from NYG, then take Hunt with the #74. If that was the case, your draft would work...and would be great!!!!!

Yours would then look like this:

1st Round #20*: LB Paul Posluszny

2nd Round #43: CB Aaron Ross

    2nd Round #51*: RB/FB Brian Leonard

3rd Round #74: RB Tony Hunt

4th Round #107: DT Ryan McBeam

6th Round #169: CB AJ Davis

    7th Round #203: FB Le'Ron MCclain

7th Round #220: WR Matt Trannon

I would prefer the Bills take Patrick Willis with the #12, then maybe package this years #43 and #92 and next years third round pick to trade up into the first round to take the best available CB (Revis, Houston, or Ross).

Here is what My changes would look like (with my changes we lose Leonard and Allison):

1st Round #12: LB Patrick Willis

1st Round #23*: DB Chris Houston

3rd Round #74: RB Tony Hunt

4th Round #107: DT Ryan McBeam

6th Round #169: CB AJ Davis

    7th Round #203: FB Le'Ron MCclain

7th Round #220: WR Matt Trannon

*Received from Kansas City for 2007 Second Round (#43), 2007 Third Round (#92) and 2008 Third Round

  3. Is this guy any good?

SLB Brandon Chillar, St. Louis (compensation: fourth round): A nice combination of size and strength, he can stack people at the line of scrimmage but also has some pursuit skills. He earned a starting job on the strong side in 2006 and registered 67 tackles and two sacks in 14 starts. He looks like an ascending player. He doesn't turn 25 until October and already has 26 starts on his résumé.

  4. You're not the only one who noticed. What about the "This who the Bills should draft "club""? I'm getting sick of talking about the draft. It's still over a month and a half away. But I guess that's the only thing people can talk about when the Bills are having a quiet signing day.

Speaking of the draft, I think we should draft Patrick Willis. Then trade the rest of our picks to Denver for Champ Bailey. After that, we should trade all of next years picks to Oakland for Randy Moss. Then maybe we can get Emmitt Smith to come out of retirement, he has to be well rested now. While we are at it, maybe Michael Jordan will come out of retirement to play LB.

  5. Sounds like Rochester D&C got it wrong, Chris Brown wrote in his blog:

INFO ON DILLON: For those wondering about Corey Dillon check out the very bottom of the story on the Patriots pursuit of Edgerton Hartwell in the Boston Herald under 'Things have changed.' Sounds like Dillon is re-thinking where he might be interested in playing next season.
    From the Boston Herald:

    Things have changed

Corey Dillon [stats] postponed yesterday’s scheduled meeting with the Bills, according to agent Steve Feldman, after Buffalo dealt lead back Willis McGahee to the Ravens. Dillon had also been courted by Baltimore, but in light of yesterday’s events, that is also on hold.

Feldman did not rule out visiting Buffalo next week.

“It may be (rescheduled),” he said. “But I’m not certain Buffalo’s the opportunity we’re looking for.” . .

Doesnt sound positive if you ask me

  6. I thought that he cancelled his trip here because he didn't feel as though we were legit contenders? The front page has a link to the D&C that has him in Buffalo for a visit today. :nana: I wonder why the change of heart in just 24 hours?

Does anyone really know the real reason why his visit was cancelled yesterday? I think there is alot of speculation rather than true hard facts....maybe he never cancelled for the reasons we have heard. Maybe the nursing home he lives in was serving lobster for dinner and he didnt want to miss it

  7. well, important to me...

i was just wondering, lets say we take Lynch(or somehow Peterson) at 12.

Considering the value of our 2nd Round pick and either of our 3rds, what is the highest we can move back up if we package our 2nd and a 3rd?

Basically, what im asking is if we grab a RB at 12, how far does Willis or Poz or Revis have to fall for us to be able to grab one of them?

    thanks in advance.

I doubt Willis or Revis fall that far...Poz might.

I would rather see them Draft Willis at #12, then trade up to get Chris Houston at #27 (Bills 2nd + 3rd) or #31 (Bills 2nd + Ravens 3rd)

Then use the #74 (Bills 3rd) or #92 (Ravens 3rd) to get Pittman
