  2. I really like this draft. I cant remember when I was so excited for the start of Training Camp like I am now. I cant wait to see how all our off season moves will result. I dont think we are there yet, but we could be very close to the playoffs this year. I hate to say it, but I hope if the team does well enough this season, we will keep the current Front Office and Coaching staff. I dont know if I could go through another rebuilding.

Things are finally looking like there going the right direction.

  3. Did you become a BB Fan 4 Life after the Bills signed Owens? Doesnt seem like you saw many Bills games last year.

In the old days, we would have a problem like this and the old man woudl sit down with his checkbook and make it go away.

Are you thinking of Jerry Jones? I know it gets hard following a guy like Owens around and making it appear you have been there since the begining. You should change your name to OwensBallWasher4Life it will make it easier for the rest of us.

  4. Those same experts you speak so fondly of had Everette Brown going in the first 15. Jairus Byrd like Donte Whitner will never be able to show their skill set until this team can get pressure on opposing QB's.

I agree. Im content with the first day we had. I was praying they would pick Brown in the second, but they must have seen something they didnt like, and something they did in Byrd. I am far from an expert, so I have to mention experts who liked the pick. I also admit that you would find just as many that didnt.

  5. Being a member of this blog over the past year I have become acquainted with some of the most passionated Bills fans. We love our Bills and will sometimes follow them blindly, but in the past couple of weeks and most recently yesterday I have to question their M.O. Really, can someone please explain to me how in the world can you pass on one of the best pass rushers in college football for a cornerback. If I remember correctly our pass rush was putrid last year and with the chance to have two of the premier pass rushers in college on your roster you pass on him for an unknown cornerback because the defensive coordinator and head coach know his father. This guy, even if the Bills thought highly of him, could have been had later in the draft not in the second round. I as an avid fan didn't think that CB was an area of need. Yes, they say he will play safety but come on. We all seen the youtube videos of Everette Brown destroying passing attacks. Speaking on depth, how long do they expect Aaron Schobel to play at a high level. I thought Chris Kelsay was on the trading block. We could have had a pair of bookend DE's to raise havoc on the AFC East for years to come, but passed on the idea because we really needed a safety. The front office/coaching staff has really mishandled the roster of this team over the past couple of years. We wouldn't even be considering a safety had they known Jim Leonhard could actually play. Like I said, I was one who made excuses for some of the boneheaded willing and dealing that went at OBD from cutting Leonhard to trading away one of the best OT's in the league because they didn't have enough foresight to sign him to a modest contract last year. I've had enough of the current regime pulling on my heartstrings and just hope that one day Jim Kelly and his investment group take over my beloved Bills and put them back on track to the Super Bowl.

Theres a reason why Brown slipped that far. A lot of other teams passed on him as well, tells me the Bills weren't the only ones to have concern.

I was surprised like many that we took a CB/FS that early, but some draft experts like the pick saying he was one of their 2nd round sleepers. The Bills obviously see him as someone who will contribute or they wouldnt have picked him. Not a wasted pick in my opinion.

  6. Since we got Rhodes and Jackson, hows about trading Lynch for a top 5 pick?

Unfortunalty he isnt worth that much. Running backs are a dime a dozen, I dont think you would get much in a trade for him. Especially with his off field issues, teams wouldnt want to take the chance.

At best we would get a box of tampons for Jackson to use.

  7. I think the 3-4 LB thing is just a ploy because he wants out of Carolina. If we gave him a contract with $25 million in gauranteed money I'm almost certain he'd be happy enough with that.

I cant see why a guy who has been playing successfully at one position would all the sudden changed. I think he really wanted to play for New England, thats why he started saying he wanted to be a LB in a 3-4.

To me money makes a person change their mind, enough money in his face you could get him to play any position.

Any chance he can throw a pass?

  8. yup. 4th for a proven tightend. then trade for a player who has stated he wants to play in a 3-4; and had a shortlist of teams he was willing to play for. do your homework before posting.

Sorry, didnt realize that with your month of posting and 9 f-ing post you became the owner and ruler of the board. If you dont like to hear what I have to say, then dont f-ing read it.

Bet you have been a Bills fan since owens was signed. Go back to being a Cowboys fan, loser

  9. Guess its just wishful thinking. If the Bills arent willing to pay Peters (arguably a top tier LT), why would they be willing to pay a ton for Peppers, assuming he would be willing to stay at 4-3 DE. I just didnt seem like anyone was beating his door down.

It would be nice to get sheffler though, one more need taken care of.

  10. Now that we freed up some money with the Peters trade, how likely is it for us to push for Peppers?

Does he really want out of Carolina, or is it all about the money?

If its money, how much do u think it would take to get him here?

Id like to see us go after him and then trade our fourth round pick to Denver for Sheffler

  11. When I read suburb of Syracuse I was thinking something more like Mattydale, or Fayettville, not Cortland. Cortland is far from a suburb of Syracuse.

Not that big deal. Not like Cortland is in Orchard Parks backyard. From SUNY Cortland to Orchard Park is 189 miles, SUNY Cortland to Meadowlands Stadium is 219. Only 30 miles further from NJ as it is from Orchard Park. I say good for Cortland, they could use the money.

  12. No chance he gets out of this without a suspension. Second run in in one year, he has to be disciplined. I agree that by itself it is fairly minor, but the fact its his second, he's up chit creek.

Hope Jackson can carry the load that first game, the running game should definelty open up with Owens and Evans on the field.

The one positive I see in this game, like Chris Brown said yesterday, the Pats have no film to gameplan around. I hope the Bills put it all on the line...if we could beat the Pats on Monday night, that would be nice!!!

  13. I agree with you, there is more upside with TO than downside. Without him the Bills were going to struggle, with him we now have a chance. And like you said, its only for a year, which is about what I see left in this current team anyway. If they had another bad season, I could see Wilson cleaning house and us Bills fans going through another mediocre rebuilding.
