  1. That's a big pile of 'meh' all around.
  2. Exactly. Poyer's a nice player, but should not be high on the list of guys who get a big contract. The fact that he's played better than his paycheck the last few years is completely irrelevant. You pay him based on what he's likely to do the next few years. They don't owe him anything.
  3. One for every 1000 dumb, unoriginal posts whining about Carolina.
  4. Biden's the only one senile enough to not understand how short his Administration would be....
  5. Speaking for myself, I'm only comfortable signing guys who are consistently healthy and near their career best form (preferably pro-bowl caliber), and who are willing to sign short-term, team friendly deals.
  6. Once in Heathrow many years ago I came across a Glenmorangie that had been aging since 1974. I think it was aged ~24 years. It was something.
  7. I didn't think this was the type of guy who would take the cheap, one year deal to be the second banana, but if anyone can get him to behave and produce it's McD. And if he does regain anything close to his old form, our secondary will be stellar. Low risk, high upside.
  8. Lloyd Dobler predicting the rise of MMA. Freakin' genius.
  9. How awful...RIP. Loved Olerud. A consummate pro. JO, Fonzie, Rey Rey and Ventura (another guy I always liked long before he came to NY) are my favorite infield ever.
  10. My first thought is this is the worst logo I’ve seen since the league wide NHL logo debacle .
  11. That sounds like something to sneeze at.
  12. Very much yes to single malts, particularly those from Highland and Islay. Lagavulin 16 is probably my favorite. Others high on the list include: Oban 14 Glenmorangie 12 (w/ Sherry cask finish) Talisker 18 Slowly been working my way through a bottle of Glenlivit -- which has never been high on my list, so really just freeing up space on the liquor shelf. I've been sitting on a bottle of Macallan Rare Cask for a few years now; plan to crack it open when my brother from the UK (who originally turned us onto scotch) visits in June, so very much looking forward to that.
  13. My girl wants to party all the time Party all the time Party all the time My girl wants to party all the time Party all the time She parties all the time
  14. Hating on Anchor Bar wings is now almost as cool as hating on Howard Stern, but I thought they were fantastic on my last pilgrimage to Buffalo.
  15. Hard to believe people are still getting on cruise ships.
  16. Seattle is about the only place I'd be concerned with flying to at this point. And not even for me.....if you are relatively young and healthy, there's really nothing much to fear. The issue with not flying is more about helping to contain the spread of the virus; so if you're flying to go see your elderly mother, you might have reason to pause. But for a vacation in FLA, don't think twice.
  17. Yup. I'd rather draft than spend the pick and $ on a one-year rental.
  18. They are both terrified of the impact on their respective legacies if the other one wins a SB on their own. And that's why he's not going anywhere.
  19. Though it's cold and lonely in the deep dark night, I can see paradise by the dashboard light
  20. It tells me that Brady is more of a Kardashian-type attention seeker than a football player these days. He's mostly worried about being noticed and talked about. He of course wants to stay in NE (lol at the idea of him playing for the 9-7 Titans), but his ego needs to be worshiped and Belichick will never do that. But Kraft will, which is why he'll end up staying.
  21. I was going to post the exact same thing. Love Jimbo, but Marino with the Bills weapons would have been incredible.
  22. Sports radio guys were deep into this last night on my way home, Brady to SF and Jimmy G back to NE. You're right about Jimmy G and the proof was right there in the Super Bowl. He had a lead in the 4Q and couldn't get it done. He was terrible on those last few drives and it cost them the game. Of course, he's still young and might improve. Brady gives them one year...two at the outside. So they pretty much need to draft his replacement this year or next and that won't be easy picking in the 30s. So it comes down to 'do we go all in for a Super Bowl, or do we stay the course for the long term'. Tough call for SF, but it's the only place other than NE there is any possibility of Brady playing IMO.
