  1. 1. No, I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that it started just down the road from a huge bio lab. Oh, and, uh.....racism or something. 2. Good. We need to throw lots of $ at sick leave, unemployment, etc. right now. Cost of all this is small compared to potential downstream effects of millions being furloughed from work (beyond the immediate concern for those people). Free testing is a good policy just to keep the panic down. It doesn't mean we're going to test many more than was going to happen anyway. If Dems got a few Easter eggs out of it, so what.
  2. I'd feel much better about the whole situation if I could see some pics of hot Italian women. Seriously, thanks for posting Paolo. Pretty strange. I had to go into our office today (closed for a week), but San Francisco was still reasonably active.
  3. Hilarious. Used to watch those same guys on that show in the morning in NYC years ago.
  4. The Masters has been postponed!! If this ***** is still going on in six months, the NFL will be the least of anyone's worries.
  5. Amazing how it all kicked in over the last 48 hours. We did a couple big Costco deliveries early in the week to beat the rush. Restaurants near me still seem to be in good shape (pizza tonight). Lots of small places with locally sourced food so not solely dependant on complex supply chains.
  6. Oh sure....I'm already working from home and the teachers will be sending lessons for the kids over google drive. We're pretty stocked up. We'll all go a little stir crazy but it'll be fine.
  7. Yup; schools are run and controlled locally. But there will be a cascading effect as more and more districts choose the 'safe' option. It's funny how just a week ago we felt like we were so ahead of the curve by shutting down our office (half software devs). Now I hear SF is a ghost town.
  8. This thread is giving me Da'Rick Rogers flashbacks.
  9. Nope. I'm just listening to the guys talk about it, so whether they are physically at the draft or sitting in the NFL Network studio is meaningless. I don't need to see people booing Roger, players hugging their mom, fans reacting like idiots when the team doesn't take the guy they wanted, etc. In fact, it might be better this way, if they just spend the time discussing players and football and without all the silly showmanship.
  10. The wheels were coming off in Rhode Island too.....they blew their bid over the last 3 weeks. At least they got to 20 wins.
  11. Italy has its priorities in order when it comes to helping people through this crisis: https://www.pcmag.com/news/pornhub-is-giving-italians-free-premium-access-during-coronavirus-quarantine?fbclid=IwAR3k12xrZSTWzeN67813u9URIM2E7jlGQGklQAL4uSVykCtIrz2LarRt17s
  12. Is it too late to abort anyone named Cuomo? Watching Fredo interview his brother on TV last night was one of the more headshaking moments I've had in this whole fiasco.
  13. That's exactly what's about to happen. Wait till next week when the school closings begin en masse. I don't think people (other than those who trade stocks for a living) have come anywhere near realizing how damaging all this will be to the global economy, and primarily, to working people and others who can't afford to stock a month's worth of food in the panty or wait out the eventual market recovery.
  14. Amazing how quickly everyone here wants to throw in the towel on Ford at tackle. I'm am highly confident that is not how Beane/McD are thinking about the issue.
  15. Yes, but most of them tear easier than two-ply TP.
  16. Yup; keeping a close watch on the TP inventory. Our company has been work from home all week and will be at least another 3. That's bad enough, but it's really gonna suck when they close the schools sometime in the next two weeks.
  17. Is it really too much to ask these media idiots to not refer to an official tournament by its silly nickname (in all caps....as if that was the name of the tournament)? There's no way he could stay away from this much hysteria and idiocy!
  18. Maybe all the Democrats can blather on about reparations for the next few decades.
  19. They closed off my MIL's nursing home to visitors yesterday....that seems like an obvious step considering the impact on the elderly and frail.
