Yup.
Thomas Jefferson quoting the Tripoli Ambassador regarding captured American sailors in 1786:
"It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise."
Facebook is full of the typical angry left rants this morning, including the always popular scatter diagram showing the education levels of stay voters.
All that education and most are still too dumb to understand (or admit) why it happened.
You're damn right. My Priority status on Virgin America has been a godsend these past several weeks.
TSA is funded by the airlines so makes sense the airlines can prioritize security just as they prioritize boarding and seating.
I have 3 and while I sympathize with him for the sleepless nights, hormonal wife, lack of sex, etc., the 'I'm fat and out of shape because my wife was pregnant' is about the lamest excuse I've ever heard.
Wow, that's a horrible list. I haven't eaten in any of those places in years. In 'N Out and Shake Shack are far and away the best for a burger.
And unless you live in Iowa or somewhere where no one knows how to make a pizza, I can't understand why anyone would eat at the huge pizza chains.
Pretty good list, The Two Escobars, Elway to Marino and Hillsborough (hard one to watch) are all outstanding and right at the top of my list
IMO they are missing 'The U' which was fantastic and a must see for anyone who was a college football fan in the 80s. Catching Hell was a very interesting retelling of the Bartman story; the fan videos from the game really brought the experience of that event home.
Benji was ok but overrated. He got shot because he mouthed off to the wrong guy. Unfortunate but not a unique story. Playing for the mob was good but not great IMO.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but can you explain why the rules for where a free agent should be allowed to sign are different for Lebron James than for any other professional athlete?
I've only recently starting paying attention but am slowly getting the impression that Steph Curry is a whiny b---h. Very different guy when it's not all sunshine and puppy dogs. And his idiot wife is creeping closer to Miko Grimes territory.
Never been a big Lebron fan but good for him if he pulls it off.
And they'd have to just struggle by on the $10 million they earned in the tag year on top of the millions they earned under the original contract. Horrors.
It can take years for baseball teams to recover from a bad contract or two. It's a terrible system.
Only? Eric Dickerson averaged 4.4 for his career. 4.4 is pretty good when you are able to do it year after year.
I know we love to think that any flash in the pan (Spiller, Karlos) is going to extrapolate success in a limited time frame over a whole career, but that doesn't usually end up happening.
I've seen several gators both in and out of the water on golf courses in FL. Once there was an one about 8' laying out in the sun on the front of the green.
We all took an extra club on the approach shot.
