The problem is only one party is characterized as being greedy and not caring about the little guy while the other party is characterized as a champion of the little guy. Perhaps if more people could be honest about all politicians, problems like this would be easier to identify and address.

So in other words it creates a paradigm shift in your relationship with that person.

IMO, offsets is a silly thing to argue about for the Chargers. If he's a bust and they cut him, how much do they really think they'd save based on what he'd get from another team? This isn't baseball where a guy who sucks can still get $8MM/year.

Sorry if I wasn't clear -- I was definitely commenting on Shady's remarks, not your retelling of them. I'm sure Karlos' lack of commitment and work ethic was evident in more places than just his waistline and I'm sure that was obvious to his teammates. I'm sure guys cover for each other, even after they are cut and that's the reason for Shady's 'I don't know' comments. Which one would think would pretty much put an end to the "When will the FO be held accountable" thread, but nope!

Nobody has stated that. Why do you keep saying you understand all the other factors that went into the decision yet you keep attempting to frame the justification for cutting him as one that was solely about his weight? If he showed up at OTAs, came to camp dedicated to working his ass off to get into shape, wasn't prone to concussions and wasn't suspended, he wouldn't have been cut.
