  1. Not a stellar group, but the list of QBs those coaches were asked to win with is even worse.
  2. Yup; everything else is noise until they find a QB. It's not possible to compete at the highest level without one.
  3. It's not even shootouts; they aren't constructed to have any answer when they don't have all the momentum in their favor. When was the last time this team didn't melt when the other team put on a little heat?
  4. After that first quarter you're thinking "wow, maybe he can do it". But the rest of the game reminds you that this guy is a career backup. Yet another in the endless parade of career backups starting for the Bills. So !@#$ing depressing.
  5. A shootout when only one side has the guns is more like a massacre. There's still 11 minutes left in my delayed recording but I knew there was zero point to watching the rest.
  6. If they determined a non-power 5 champ or an Independent was one of the four most deserving teams (obviously not the case this year). Of course there is still going to be some subjectivity in the process but you remove a lot of it if you say only conference champs (or an Independent) are eligible.
  7. Correct. I think it should be based on the results on the field, not the subjective view of who the four 'best' teams might be. A team that wasn't good enough to win it's own conference isn't deserving. PSU beat OSU and won the big 10; they should get in over OSU. And what's the point of having a huge Michigan-OSU or Alabama-LSU game in late November if both are going to be put in the playoff anyway? I think college should be different than how it works with the pros.
  8. I didn't mean to imply the committee couldn't take a non-power 5 conference champ or an Independent in lieu of a potentially less deserving power 5 champ.
  9. Conference championships should mean something. They should take the top 4 conference champs and that's it.
  10. Yup; we met a ton of really amazing people who were involved in her care during the process. Thanks. She's doing great and actually mentions the experience frequently but in a very matter of fact way. She was the best patient ever. Good luck to you too Steve! It sounds like they can do a lot with the traditional radiation these days too. Plus the proton is crazy expensive so that's a real issue. I believe there are still a limited number of places in the country that do proton.
  11. Good. Those who use robocalls out-scumbag lawyers by many, many times so happy to see cash transferred from the former to the later.
  12. Zimmerman initiated physical contact? Really? Interesting that 'fact' was never raised at the trial. I didn't realize we still had people so ignorant they continue to believe the media's fabricated story about that case even after it was completely debunked. And that's really the issue. So many people these days just itching for a reason to become 'outraged' or 'confront' someone over any minor issue; and they are usually the ones who end up getting shot. It sounds like McKnight was a good guy, so WTF was he doing in that type of confrontation? People need to learn to let sh-- go once in a while.
  13. Poor Jill. That mean old judge told her she had to pony up some real cash to carry her charade into PA. http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/03/politics/jill-stein-drops-pennsylvania-recount/index.html?adkey=bn
  14. That's like noticing Buffalo Barbarian falls in love with college quarterbacks with questionable pro potential.
  15. Maybe not, but he was voted player of the year 3 years after that incident so it's not like he's been totally out of golf that long.
  16. So anyone with enough cash has the right to demand recounts in any cherry picked areas they wish?
  17. Fixed. Until this issue is addressed all the hand wringing about guns or poverty or global warming or plastic in the ocean or anything else is just talk.
  18. A couple more WR injuries and they'll look like the Sabres defense in the '06 ECF.
  19. Too many fantastic golfers now for him or anyone to dominate in this era, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him competitive again, assuming he can stay healthy which is a huge question mark. Right now he's between Watkins and Goodwin on the 'likely to play a full season' scale.
  20. Sure did; only the tumor in question was in my daughter's head. After a successful resection, the good folks at Yale and Sloan Kettering recommended the proton route for post-surgery radiation to ensure all the little cancer f--kers near the tumor were zapped. We read up on it and it seemed to make sense to target the beam instead of having it just plow through healthy brain tissue in a 2 year old. Of course, proton isn't available everywhere so we spent six weeks making a daily trip to the ProCure center in Central NJ. To beat the ridiculous NJ traffic we'd get down there by 7am every morning with my daughter still in her PJs, running around the huge waiting room and entertaining the other patients -- who were all 60+ yo guys there for prostate treatment. So it certainly seems to be a popular option for that problem. We gave the whole process very high marks and the result couldn't have gone better. 3 years later we're still looking clear.
  21. I think you're old enough to know the answer to that one.
  22. When do the recounts in MN, NH and NV start?
