We certainly didn't lose because of his effort or attitude, which have always been fine, but one of the primary reasons we lost was because of his ability.
But the real problem is that when you are down 7 and you must drive the field to tie the game on the road in the final five minutes, he's not anywhere near average. He's not even in the top 30. You simply can not have a QB who is only competent when everything is going well but has zero ability to elevate his team.
Nice guy and I wish him well, but don't ever want to see him in a Bills uniform again. The highlight of the offseason will be the day they announce he's been cut or traded.
The Bortles scrambles hurt, but you can't hang anything on the defense; they kept us in the game all day. 10 points in a playoff game should get you the win every time.
Taylor just isn't good enough. I don't care if you're playing the '86 Bears, 3 points is awful.
Thompson was wide open at the sticks on the right side.
I really hope he's not seriously hurt, but also never want to see him take a snap for the Bills again.
That was the last time the Bills can punt and win the game.
Piecing together these drives for 3 or 4 first downs before punting was fine in the first half when it was a scoreless field position game, but that's over. Taylor needs to be able to produce something more.
With the secondary now in shambles, the D has no remaining margin for error.
Well...so much for the lead, Hyde, the TOP advantage, wearing out the Jax defense, etc.
That's why you can't afford to !@#$ up the last 3 minutes of the first half.
Now it's all up to Taylor.
I'm sorry, a terrible QB having a terrible half is trying to check all over the field with the play clock running out, you put the pressure on him. You don't call TO.
