  1. .....by the second episode. I never found her or that show the least bit funny.
  2. Just saw my first ever MAGA hat here in Marin County! No one has yet accosted the wearer.....stay tuned.
  3. Yup. First goal is to max the tax benefits on retirement, then on college plans. I was fortunate enough to get a sizable chunk into the 529s early and have been able to benefit from long investment horizon.
  4. Service academies are very difficult from what I know. I think at Ivies or other top schools you have an expectation of hard work and serious students, but I don't think the work assignments are that dramatically different than state school. But as plenz notes, there are benefits that extend far beyond graduation. I've been in a lot of work situations where just about everyone went to an Ivy, or Georgetown, Stanford, etc. It opens doors that are not always available to those who graduated from State U. Certain industries (eg., investment banking) or companies only recruit from top schools. My goal is to save enough to let my kids go to as good a school as they get in.
  5. That show was pretty funny. Or how about some of the funky MTV shows like The Head or Aeon Flux.
  6. This could jeopardize my run at a fantasy 3-peat. Another reason to find a RB in the draft rather than handing the vault keys to Bell.
  7. And here I was, fully prepared to not hate Harper for the rest of his career in SF. Oh well. I just hope I outlast the Bonilla payments.
  8. Good deal; Is that the one in Novato? I just paid $15 for one pound! Course that was cause I was walking through the Ferry Bldg when my wife called to say we were out.
  9. I assume a turnaround is when you’ve finally ready to see how she looks from the backside?
  10. “Love & Relationships” with your host, The Real Buffalo Joe or maybe, ”TRBJ stars in, ‘Psycho Bridesmaids: A Lifetime Original Movie’”
  11. News Radio wasn’t cancelled too soon, because it never recovered from losing Phil Hartman (apparently he was not behind the sofa), but that show could have had a much longer run if his crazy b— wife hadn’t killed him.
  12. ^ They flipped the Gov office too, until they started finding ‘misplaced’ ballots all over Bridgeport on election night.
  13. Among likely voters? Gen Z and millennials are usually sitting on their couch on Election Day while their disapproving grandparents are voting. And much like the popular vote, it doesn’t matter how many in CA or New England approve of it; only matters in about ten battleground states.
  14. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried.... Wait a minute, what are we talking about? A properly done Eggs Benedict is the best possible breakfast. Was having breakfast at a nice hotel in Dallas a few years ago and they had choice of ham or salmon so I went with one of each....might have been the best Benedict I ever had. Over easy with bacon that's just reached crispy, or scrambled (not overcooked) with the bacon mixed in and multi-grain toast (fully toasted) is also a wonderful way to start a leisurely day.
  15. So, the big highlights from Cohen that I've heard about are that Trump assigned himself some goodwill on his personal balance sheet, more Stormy Daniels stuff, and something about threatening someone about revealing his high school grades. Any other highlights or will those serve as the basis for impeachment?
  16. Yes, but I think you've still got a couple generations of older people (who vote in high numbers) in those battleground states that have never tried it and would be opposed. I still think it's a net negative issue nationwide.
  17. I always assume anyone wearing a full length down jacket is clinically insane.
  18. While I agree with legalization, I think the Dems are mis-calculating here. There are still a lot people who just pass on grass and will be turned off by this. You can't seriously suggest you'd vote for Pocahontas or Cammy over Trump because of weed laws that are mostly ignored anyway.
  19. Two years ago he did, but certainly not last year.
  20. I drafted him in 2017 ahead of some much better young backs (but fortunately stumbled across some guy named Alvin Kamira on the waiver wire). He's not awful overall but he has way too many no-show games. Agree with the 'meh' and 'easily findable' assessments.
  21. It's always so fun when one of them comes out of the woodwork, with blood pressure still as high as two years ago. I'm sure he's been glued to CNN just waiting for the "beginning of the end"!
