    'level of your opponent' is a vastly overrated concept in the NFL. It's not college where one team has all the top recruits and the other is picking from the local scrap heap. These guys are all pros and each team is operating with the same salary cap.

    I’m guessing his answer reflects his belief that ‘analytics’ is an overly broad term (which it is), making it kind of a pointless question. Really, asking what part analyzing data plays in game preparation? Why not ask what part ‘strategy’ or ‘planning’ play in game prep? ?

    Last year Cousins was fourth in attempts (and top 10 in almost all categories). This year he’s last — by a lot. Vikings have radically changed their game plan this year, averaging a ‘70s era 21 pass attempts per game. Not gonna pile up many receiving stats handing off to Cook every play.

    Same here. Hate the Pats but have always enjoyed listening to BB, including his press conferences where he routinely shows his disdain for the lame modern questions. I suspect when he retires, if he chooses to be on TV he will be the most only interesting and insightful voice in the studio.
