  1. Awesome. Love seeing him dig that hole even deeper. Honestly, is there any owner who hasn't told his GM 'NFW' on this guy?
  2. Yup. It's hard to sympathize with her when the DA publicly announced he was gunning for anyone who refused to own up to it. Of course they are going to use rich celebs as a warning to others....same reason Rudy insisted on doing perp walks for big shot Wall Street guys he busted in the 80s (well, that and he wanted to be Mayor). Who knows, maybe she'll get some Full House fans on the jury and get off. But I bet the stress is far more than she would have experienced if she had spent a few weeks in some cushy celeb prison cell. As Sammy Davis Jr said, don't do the crime if you can't do the time!
  3. Actually yes, and if you can remove the "all rich people bad" blinders for a minute, you'd see that it does. Of course she won't get anywhere near 45 years. I'm sure your nephew was "facing" a lot longer than 5 years at trial. The media just looooves to play up the facing number in criminal cases for shock value! But she will almost certainly get more than she deserves for the crime itself because of her arrogance and stupidity. Huffman got the appropriate punishment. Had Loughlin followed that path she probably gets the same. No different than any other case....if you plead you get the lower sentence. If you roll the dice at trial and lose, you get a longer sentence. Not sure why people are acting like those longstanding rules are so shocking in this case.
  4. “I’m not trying to go nowhere and be a starter on a team...” Uhhh.....thanks for clearing that up, Dez. ?
  5. For all the love Michael Jackson gets, he was the neon-bright turning point in that graphic.
  6. The difference as I understand it is that Kennedy and Bush paid Harvard and Yale (private organizations who are free to use any standards they wish to accept students) to gain admittance. The current crowd actually defrauded the universities by conspiring with test cheats and university employees. Lori Laughlin didn’t pay USC, she paid someone to lie to USC. That’s a crime. In this case, the universities were the victims.
  7. I for one would love a weekly 'Official All-22' thread reserved for the handful of posters who know WTF they are talking about when they look at the film and can explain it to the masses of dopes (like me) who don't have the time, inclination or ability to do it for myself.
  8. It’s possible the NFL cuts a deal with London on league taxes that then gets funneled back to the players, but the larger question is how do pro sports manage this issue across the US in an era of increasing polarization of politics and tax law at the state level. At some point it may impact competitive balance.
  9. I hope no one is expecting this to change this week. Sunday is the last stand for all those who crammed onto the Browns bandwagon before the season. If the Bills lose it gives that crowd new life and validates the ‘Bills are pretenders’ narrative. Come on Bills!
  10. $250,000 for 10 years?!? He'd probably have made more at the DEA if he'd had a couple high profile busts!
  11. So if we're all starving and dying off, the planet will be saved? Ahhhhh, NOW I understand the logic of the left wing approach!
  12. Absolutely. # rings is of course the first record, but you better believe he's playing for all the big passing records. So, come on Drew Brees!!!
  13. Yeah...you're definitely going to get a different crowd at LSU than at ND! As for tailgating, much of the pre-game experience at ND is on campus among the dorms rather than in the parking lots. And it's a pretty family oriented crowd. Not too many flaming tables. We had a good breakfast in one of those places across the street from campus that served huge bloody marys for like $5. Gotta love prices in the mid-west. And yeah, TD Jesus rocks. Glad you had fun.
  14. Fond memories of the Merritt Parkway in CT where every so often you’d come across a truck carefully backing his way down the shoulder to the previous exit. ?
  15. Glad they lost, but of course BB now has all the tape he needs to figure out how to beat Baltimore in a playoff rematch.
  16. Dallas and Minnesota both beat Washington by 10. SF beat them by 9. I can see why people are so outraged that the Bills only won by 15. Point is, other than NE*, every team has issues, and winning matters more than everything else.
  17. If there is a Bosa level pass rusher in the next draft, the Bills should pay any price to get him. There is no QB in the NFL who can’t beat you if you can’t get anywhere near him with your rush.
  18. Would be great to have a ‘guess the score at halftime based on the game thread’ contest. I’ll say 24-10, Redskins.
  19. There is no law that says sports need to continuously change the rules, so let’s not.
  20. Settle down Beavis. The other team is trying hard too. They punched it in and lead by two TDs.
