Bills Fans seem unusually threatened by the success/hype of Jackson.

probably wouldn’t be as intense Had he been drafted in a “different” draft class and not in the one with Josh.

that in itself I see is producing a certain response from the fans.

I think Bills fans have an aversion in general to over hyped players, not just this one in particular.

Jackson has done much better than I expected overall, but I would agree with those that say the jury is still out.  Yes, he's going to be very effective against the teams that can't contain his running. Yes, he's playing for a very well run organization so will win a lot of games and be a fixture in the playoffs.  But to me he's still in the Vick/V Young/Tyrod category (clearly w/ Vick at the high end of that list);  he has not yet proven he belongs in the category of guys that can take you down the field with their arm when necessary.

To me, the real question people should ask themselves is where they would pick him in a QB redraft of the entire league?  Obviously not ahead of Mahomes or Wilson.  But even if we ignore the old guys, ahead of Allen?  Watson? Prescott?  Murray?  Burrow?

Anyone watching the Mets bow out?

Gary just pointed out that the Rays pitcher has the same wind up as Sid Finch. They just posted a pic of Sid and a freeze frame of the Ray and it's, well, amazing. Here's the Sid pic

I won't watch until the Wilpons are dead or gone.  But I do love a good Sidd Finch reference.

From the end of regular season power rankings:

Last place. What a fitting way for the Wilpon family swan song. Bye, guys. Won't miss ya.

The Cowboys came within a play or so of beating the Seahawks last night. Their QB threw for almost 500 yards and 3 TDs. They could be 0 - 3 right now, and also could be 3 - 0 if a few plays went differently. I know it feels good to bash the Cowboys, but I wouldn't overlook them.

I agree Dallas is a good team, but Dak seems like the master of big yardage passing games that end up a loss.

    Young man did ok today.

Also, give him a shout out for his KO's (10 TBs and only 2 returns for an average of 16 yards).

    Keep working.

83% is 6th in the league

    12 for 12 on PATs

    3.5 for 5 on FGs

Obviously the jury is out until he has some kicks that really matter, but I think we're past the immediate hysteria.

Fourth quarter comeback. Five touchdowns. Overcame an awful call and a momentum shift. Bailed his defense out.

Oh, and his O-Line was getting absolutely destroyed at the end of the game and he still made it happen on several third and long plays.

Did he make a few mistakes? Yes. That doesn’t invalidate all of the points above.

This.....'shaky in the pocket' was a result of the jail break pass rush for most of the 4Q.

  6. Seems like the default option is to blame the coaches when people can't point to specific plays/players.

    But here's what I saw:

    1) Bills are not stout against the run.  They have not effectively replaced Star

    2) Rams are a good running team and ran effectively all game

    3) Bills defense got worn down by end of 3Q

    4) Once the pass rush evaporated, the Rams passing game opened up and things got ugly

Meanwhile, the coaching on the offensive side was terrific.

The best was the face mask call—even when fighting a sack he’s dishing out punishment!!!! I couldn’t even be mad at him for it

If he's sacked there, they lose the yardage and the down.  He's got to stop having the ball in his left hand when he gets in those situations.

  8. The Good:

    -3-0

-Amazing job by Allen today (despite a couple hiccups).   And 300 yards!

-Great job by Daball which was becoming forgotten during the 2d half collapse.

    The Bad:

-The defense was awful….really even in the first half when the Rams moved the ball very well.  They have to figure out how to stop a good running team or they will be steamrolled every week.

-The call on the b.s. pick was infuriating.   At least the refs made up for it at the end.

I’m drained and exhausted from the stress….not sure I can watch this team all season!
