  1. They have no playmakers on offense. I hate the idea of drafting offensive line early. The Bills have the worst passing game I can remember so I expect them to draft defense. Gotta control the line of scrimmage and play ground and pound like it's 1950. Aside from Zay Jones who is a 4 WR on most teams what skill position player from offense comes back?
  2. They have absolutely nothing at WR. Daboll will get fired. It's a weak draft for playmakers. N'Kell Harry with a trade down or I think it's a pass rusher in the top 5. They're the worst team in terms of entertainment value since SF with Smith in his rookie year.
  3. The offense is a mess. I'm not sure they've got one WR who'll make the team next year. Still it's one game. I thought the offense would be bad because they've ignored it. Wasn't expecting Joe Flacco to shred the secondary.
  4. Hue Jackson is 9-39 as a head coach and 2-35 in his last 37 games. He had no reason to declare Tyrod the starter nor does he have any business being a head coach.
  5. Maybe the Bills had a mid-round grade on Jackson. It's all rumors and speculation, but I was told he was off the Bills board. That could mean they weren't taking him in the 1st and they were gonna get one of the top 4 regardless. Just my thinking but McD ran the draft last year and Whaley was on board to buy time. If Allen was the guy they wanted, I've got no problem with McBeane getting him because it's their job on the line. Also the Bills don't draft picks. If they see a guy they want they're gonna try to get him.
  6. I think the Bills would've taken Allen if they had the 1 pick. I think Pegula made the pick. Right now the Bills are in a rough spot. I'm glad they got a QB but now they need to add weapons for this offense. Right now I think they've got the worst offensive talent in the league. Next year they've got a boatload of cap space though I anticipate Allen starting by the end of the season.
  7. Get one of the top 4 QB's. Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Allen is my order of preference. Drop off from Darnold and Rosen to Mayfield and Allen is big IMO, so I would move up if possible to get one of them at 2 and give up picks rather than wait and see if one falls or they move up to 6.
  8. Maybin wasn't good enough to play special teams. He's by far the worst pick of the last decade. They missed on Manuel but how did it set the franchise back? They went with Orton for most of his 2nd season and then Tyrod. My top two misses are 1. Maybin and 2. T.J. Graham these two were both awful. The two best picks were 1. Stevie 2. Eric Wood.
  9. What's the value of a great rb? Two guys in his top 10 could alter the course of a franchise and they're Rosen and Darnold. The best thing for the Bills would be for the Giants to take Barkley or Chubb. The worst thing the Giants could do would be drafting Chubb or Barkley. Get the QB and worry about everything else. If you miss, oh well. Not like other positions couldn't bust.
  10. Hue Jackson is 1-31 with the Browns. He didn't have to come out and say Tyrod will be the starter now. Chances are he'd start, but my guess is Jackson is out of a job by mid-season and Tyrod is on the bench.
  11. Taking a QB early or going all-in for a QB preserves that they're in Buffalo for the long haul. If they wanna put their time in Buffalo on a free agent that's not Cousins than they're hoping to be Marvin Lewis and the Bengals. Whoever they take whether it trading up or waiting til the 2nd, which is the latest I could see them doing will start games next year. Taking a guy in the 1st or trading up gives the franchise a guy. Say the Bills would've taken Watson or Mahomes and they got the capital minus the 1st they acquired to trade down. I think we're excited and expectations are higher for 2018. This is with White being a stud.
  12. Griffin was great as a rookie. Then Washington was running read option with him on one leg in the playoffs. Also same draft they take another QB in the 4th in Cousins. I consider the 5th on as guys if they contribute it's a bonus and if they pan out it's a good pick. They traded up for Griffin and took another QB in the mid-rds. To me the mental make-up of Griffin killed his career. We're not looking at Jeff Tuel in terms of arm strength early in the draft. I think the guys considered in the 1st generally have the arm strength. I'd love Bills to move up for Darnold or Rosen because I want guys after the first read is gone they're not lost. I think the running QB thing is an easy thing to point out when criticizing QB's. As Bills fans we watched Taylor run around and some would say defenses figured him out. I'd argue that Taylor and some others trusted their legs more than their arm and decision making which allows them to make the big play after buying time. Though plays are open it's just they're slow read QB's. The ideal situation for the Bills is the Browns take Allen and the Giants take Barkley. If this were to happen and the Bills don't make a move to get a QB than I question the front office. I couldn't think of a worse situation than the Bills not ending up with one of the top 6 QB's.
  13. 1. Darnold 2. Rosen I think the gap between these two and the rest of the QB's in the draft is significant. 3. Allen 4. Rudolph 5. Mayfield If the Browns pass on Darnold or Rosen for Mayfield or Allen I think the Bills are moving up. If not I could see the top 6 gone before the Bills pick.
  14. I agree to an extent. After 5th rd maybe even after 4th if the guy is on the roster in two years it's a decent pick. If it costs both 1sts a 2nd and a later rd pick to move up to get Darnold or Rosen I'd rather do that than take 2 QB's. Draft capital to me is like a new car. It's always more valuable until a player is picked.
