  1. Agreed. Ill be rooting for him to succeed the rest of this year and next. The guy took over this team when they were at their worst. You Fitz haters were cheering for him when Trent was stinking up the field. This defense is not hit fault. Draft MLB first, QB in the 2nd and let Fitz help him develop.
  2. I just don't see any of the top tier QBs coming out of the gate as starters in the NFL. I live in Oregon so end up watching a lot of college ball because of the Ducks. Geno seems the most promising but will most likely go 1st. After that you have Barkley and Wilson. Barkley has been flaky lately. After the USC Ducks game today I'll give my final verdict. Wilson doesn't make the reads and adjustments. Also I can't count how many times Ive seen him get his receivers laid out. He does however have decent arm strength and pose in the pocket.
  3. Fitz is the best available and will be next year as well. When Buddy drafts a QB next year regardless of who it is, they will need time to develop. Who better to teach reading defenses and the nuances of the playbook other than Fitz? Don't get me wrong. A change has to be made but throwing any rookie developmental QB into a system like Gaileys will be setting them up for failure. Fitz would be a great coach to any young quarterback.
  4. I really Like Nix. He has for the most part been straight forward when talking about the team and his intentions. I think it would be a big mistake to let him go. As a GM he has put the pieces in place. They just aren’t being utilized by the coaching staff. Saying this I wonder why he hasn't made a move to get Wanny in check. As for his reassuring Fitz, this was the right thing to do. Fitz is the best option available. Most likely he will still be the best option available next year as well. I say stick with Gailey and Nix. This team is on the verge of being great.
  5. It's not as bad as it seems. This team is not as far off as some would suggest. Fire Wanny, pick up some depth at linebacker, and look at quarterbacks in the draft next year (yes fitz starts next year) and this team is in it for the long haul. Make no mistake this team is still rebuilding. Please no drastic decision making.
  6. As the post says... we would have been down by two points if the play failed. Tied if it worked. The decision to not make an attempt boggled me.
  7. I doubt he is even involved in the decision making any more.
  8. I suppose the half time deficit is all Fitz's fault.
