  1. You got 'em. God bless brother. I bet it feels wonderful being someone else's miracle, but then again nothing is as great as the miracle of love and friendship.
  2. They heard when one sense fails others compensate..they were testing that theory with the whole sight/hearing thing... You are a cruel man...
  3. Did you you hear Mickey was jealous? He heard Minnie was !@#$ing Goofy..... Worked in Orlando for a year at the new Disney sports complex (Braves spring training, lots of other events). Supervised a team that coordinated the events at the complex. I was underground at Magic Kingdom a couple of times--it is a fascinating place--it also comes in handy during hurricanes. This was seven years ago--but Disney does the customer experience so well...I know this kind of publicity is driving the parks PR and community affairs folks nuts. One funny story--we had a beach volleyball court at the sports complex (since paved over to house a permanent NFL experience)--we hosted both a men's and women's professional event during the year I was there. I worked with 2 30 year plus Disney employees one as a peer who supervised all the guest services in the sports complex, one was our boss--the director of the park. During the first beach volleyball event, the guest services person came up to me and said he was going to make an announcement to ask the female spectators in bikinis to cover up because they were not dressed appropriately for a Disney Park-I said "This is what people dress in to watch beach volleyball." I had to approve the announcement since I was duty manager for the park that day. I wouldn't -- he went over my head to the other 30+ year Disney employee --who said "There's girls in bikinis out there. I'll be there in a minute." Some people adapt--some don't.
  4. Morrison just said Travis is NOT on the injury report. He participated in full drills today.
  5. USMC--I think Jerry Gray said this not AS. I think its okay for a coach to praise and try to build up individuals on his D.
  6. PFW Whispers There is more than a little concern over the cornea problem in Falcons WR Peerless Price’s right eye, which has required him to wear a visor this season. Although Price claims he isn’t worried about the injury — he could go blind if he were poked in the eye — we hear the Falcons are concerned about what might happen should he suffer a big blow to the head. Bills defensive coordinator Jerry Gray believes underrated DE Aaron Schobel can be among the AFC’s leaders in sacks this season. “He did it last year, and I think he missed three or four more sacks because he was going so hard. To me, I think that’s what he should be shooting for every year, trying to get around that 14, 15, 16 range. Mainly because in order to be All-Pro, you’re going to have to do that, because you’ve got some good players he’s going against, like Jason Taylor. In order to unseat those guys from the Pro Bowl, you’re going to have to get that many sacks.” The other two bills related ones are kind of in the "well, duh" category--Milloy's injury billsfanone Travis Brown's roster spot and Ritzmann beat out McKenzie and Gildon to earn his roster spot.
  7. Must be trying to honor the cancelled ESPN series and forgot the "s"
  8. I think AVP is worried about being perceived as too much of a homer--that's what makes him sound unsure. I say let it rip. Somebody needs to get him tapes of Sonny Jurgensen and Sam Huff on the Redskins broadcasts...home fans want a homer!!!! Overall, I like the team a lot...and think by the end of the year the rough spots will be gone. Murph is a really good play by play guy.
  9. Adding Millie to the top of the list Bill. God bless.
  10. Yeah its called diet change....which I am sure Rusty will do with Travis if this is the case...believe me I didn't want it to happen, but also loved to run (still do). I just started sprinkling in more off days and eating a higher fat content diet. Its been a long long time...15 to 20 years ago.
  11. It may have been a cut...but---- The guy has no body fat...when you exert/exercise and you have no body fat you burn muscle--which means you pee blood...when I weighed 135 (as opposed to the 160-165 I weigh now) and ran and lifted a lot it happened to me--not pissing my pants but when I used to to piss after a run. Its shocking the first couple of times--but then I started to eat more carbs.... and it went away.. Sorry to be so graphic. Jester can probably describe better...The things you do in your 20's to have a cut body....even though I was and still am a shrimpo...
  12. Wow--that slap in the face just made me realize that the truth may hurt....thanks Badol--that was like the old Hi Karate aftershave wake up call.. Or as Murph and Alex would say--the "Hi Karate slap of reality post of the day"...God I hope you are wrong--but my gut says you may be more right than wrong...
  13. We had 11 drive starts today. They stopped us a grand total of 4 times 3 and out. The others: 1) Missed FG 2) End of half kneel down 2) 2 fumbles inside Jaguar territory, one in the red zone 3) Last drive where holding penalty stopped us 4) 2 scores We should have had at least 19 points minimum instead of 10. We possessed the ball almost 34 minutes. We had 36 running plays to 26 passing plays. We played a game like many we will win this year...except we did not score....it sucks but you are going to have one or two of these during the year and hopefully it balances out.... As to assessing the season, I am waiting until after the NE, NYJ, Miami stretch the first three weekends in October...If we are 3-2 or 2-3 out of that stretch--I think there is hope.
  14. NCSU if it drives you that crazy go to C-F stadium on Saturday, cheer for the Wolfpack against Ohio State and forget about the Bills. MM is going to be here for 5 years--that's his contract length and Ralph is not into paying for years not served. So if you are sure we are going to suck, just give up and follow your alternatives.
  15. This is the entire list.... Lawyer Milloy Jabari Greer Constantin Ritzmann Dylan McFarland Losman Pucillo Shaud Williams Tim Anderson
  16. Lawyer Milloy Jabari Greer Constantin Ritzmann Dylan McFarland Missed one shoot....
  17. I didn't know it was Phil Rizzuto's birthday. Happy Birthday Scooter...must be 90 or so.... Happy birthday SDS....
  18. Over the last couple of weeks I have watched or listened to every MM press conference that is archived on bb.com. There's probably like 15 total with maybe 2 and a half hours of stuff. My 2 year old son likes them better than the Spongebob DVD I use to entertain him while I am working--or at least I think he likes them better than Spongebob...so that was my excuse for playing them. This might be over the top, but if MM wasn't coaching the Bills, I'd wish he was our coach. The guy is intelligent, direct, calm, doesn't use typical coach speak and is pretty darn forthright. There are lots of examples--how he handled the Mike Williams stuff, how he talked about the overabundance of penalties in the preseason, etc. This past Wednesday, he said he had his pre-game speech all ready to go for tomorrow. That is one speech I wish I was there to hear. It may not mean stevestojan on the field...but the guy certainly doesn't act like a first year head coach.
  19. Hey Bart, tell some of the folks (especially the alums and subway alums) to lay off Ty for a while....he is a great coach and even a better man. You all are lucky to have him in South Bend. Maybe this will calm the masses for a while. ND fans are like the chosen ones in the Old Testament--never happy, always looking for the next god to worship.
  20. 28-20......True Freshman Walker rushes for a hundred plus
  21. Where's Terrell or his boys when this cat fight was going on... Don't really care whether Garcia is gay or not. Chances are that NFL players align with sexual preferences in percentages like the rest of the population, but since TO made such an issue of this--I thought the story was interesting.
  22. Center sneak on the goose....Trey and Drew becoming close friends.
  23. I agree. David Garrard their back up is a pretty damn good player. He had nothing around him at East Carolina for a number of years and had winning seasons against tough schedules. I was hoping we would draft him when he came out....I'd rather play against Leftwich....
  24. Two motivations for this post. First I want to get a preseason head start on what the major post themes will be after our first loss. Second, I wanted to provide Jerry Sullivan some basic ideas for column themes post-loss... Here we go-- TD= Incompetent part II--Ol Whitey deserves to be institutionalized.... Drew=Statue and washed up McGahee=selfish ingrate Mike Williams=bust Ryan Denny=bust Troy Vincent=Headhunter of his own teammates JP = High bust potential because of inability to become #2 in training camp Josh Reed=Bust, not deserving of a starting role Lee Evans=High bust potential-can't believe he hasn't shown enough to start Sam Adams=Fat tub of goo Trey Teague=Sucks, will get bull rushed to death Pucillo=Sucks, glad he is nowhere near the field (okay this one's true ) Travis=Ingrate Lindell=Blows, not accurate nor strong legged Ralph=senile for letting all this go on.. Milloy=A puss for not playing with a broken arm MM=showing signs of stupidity--watch out--if he starts wearing goofy sweaters we are done... What am I missing? Jeez we will be lucky to go 0-16.... Go team go!!!!! You know its pretty bad when we have to circle the wagons because of our own fans B) I am not asking for pollyanna optimism but just show a little positive outlook.....LET'S GO BILLS!!!!
  25. You should have seen the fight JP and Ralph had over the handicapped spot outside the Bills offices on Tuesday....ugly man, just ugly... MM said it yesterday---Evans will get plenty of reps and that more than 11 guys are starters in his mind. Moulds has his speed back and in fact is faster than at the beginning of last year according to Vincent and Clements, he's the deep threat for the short term in the 2 WR receiver sets. In the 3 WR sets--you've got Josh working the short edges and middle and Moulds and Evans working the posts, flags, flys and deep slants....we will play a lot of 3 wide...it will open up the running game and the passing game--no one is going to play 8 in the box when you have Moulds, Evans and Reed wide--if they do---its like conceding big plays--even if we hit 30% of the opportunities--that's a lot of yards and points...
