Buff News: Moulds '05 Savings $3.4 Million
JoeF replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clumpy--Jim Overdorf needs to put you on the payroll....thanks.... -
Story is posted on the home page. Actual savings is $3.4 million for '05. This probably allows us to either sign one more player or extend a Clements or McGee over the $2 Million in savings reported earlier. In addition this puts us squarely in the game to resign Jennings and/or Williams and address some other needs (LG/K/TE/coverage LB-for third down D--which I think needs to be addressed) Eric says he tells friends "Buffalo is the most beautiful city in the summer time." He gets the same amount of money as under the old contract--but the Bills get an extra year and significantly reduced cap hit....good for everyone.

I have some barren space from my eyebrows to the back of my head I would be happy to auction....its really clean and shiny....on a square inch basis it might be more space than the former Mrs. Bagwell's offering.

What if Jim Kelly said JP is going to be a hall of famer and break all his Bills records?? Would you be excited.
-
15000 what an auspicious achievement...I don't know whether to give you my condolences or my hearty congratulations.... Now the real question--are you Greg Maddux and get finer with age or are you an aging QB with quickly diminishing skills and set to be released?

Welcome to the world of mini-vans---I never thought I would be a mini-van proponent but I am. Now on to the bad part about our specific vehicle. We bought a Chrysler Town and Country in 2002. Has been less than average in the reliability category. Our Chrysler dealer also has an interesting philosophy when it comes to fixing warranty issues...they put off actually fixing the problem for about 3 visits--we had a steering column issue that was actually part of a recall and they would not replace the equipment, preferring to do more cosmetic things first--finally they replaced the equipment. The service manager told me that is was Chrysler's service "philosophy" to do the least expensive things first. I replied its my philosophy not to give repeat business to morons......I am really popular at the dealership now...its too bad because I like the Pacifica and will be ready replace an old station wagon in the next 18 months or so--but there are many like vehicles on the market now. One tip use your $9K as a downpayment, get a new van and a warranty also get the in car DVD--several companies are offering freebies right now because sales are off--I can't tell you how many times on 1+ hour trips I have praised the lord for a silent vehicle thanks to that 10" screen. You can get a nice van for $20-25K with no interest--its worth it in my opinion...

Wonder if Parrot tastes like Chicken.... I take personal offense to this--I was a mascot in college--my character was a parrot ...its a long story--and I won't bore you with it--but I feel a personal sense of loss here at one of my brethern being decapitated in such a manner...

In our very brief meetings and then in a conversation we had at a celebration welcoming the military athletes back from the 92 summer games--he reminded me of my dad. Great sense of humor, affable, but decisive and tough. When I think about 12 years ago, I judge the man by the couple of times I heard him talk about his kids.....This is a man who doesn't really need any of the stress, power or glory of his current job--I think he is doing it for true love of country. I am more anti-administration than pro, but I will always respect the Vice President.....and him being portrayed as he is most times in the media, doesn't mesh with what I viewed. No Dr. Evil or puppet strings that I saw--but then again I wasn't looking for them. His executive assistant at the time could have qualified as mini-me though--she was a few inches short of 5' if I recall....gave me an ego boost to "tower" over someone

The Eagles as a whole looked like they passed the bong on the sidelines in the break between the third and fourth quarters. They looked like they were on a stroll in the park the last five minutes--no sense of urgency at all...

Drew Bledsoe's House Up For Sale??
JoeF replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here it is---I just found the listing: 6 bedroom 5 bath mansion with wooded 32 acre lot located in one of Buffalo's most desirable suburbs. Special features include a custom made tree house for the kids, a room specially equipped with several alarm clocks that are all set to go off every four seconds, a room called the #80 room that seems to have been occupied for long periods of time by the current owner, a room called the statue room equipped with a soft floor for maximum cushion. Owner needs to sell quick so this baby is priced right. There is no Curt Schilling waiting to buy this--just make an offer. -
If that was the strategy--it seems the Eagles set it up well by using Mitchell as a decoy the last three years....get real....
-
Rodney Harrison caught one more ball than Freddie Mitchell...... Hey Freddie--shutup....
-
Pete--in addition to seeing Ralph hoist the Lombardi trophy while he is still and octogenerian--the thing I want to see most in life is for the Bills to hang the first playoff loss on that Tommy Montana kid.....to be the best, you have to beat the best....

The Bills took a major step in confidence this year and losing the last game will make them hungry...but we have some of the elements to win the big one: 1) A ball hawking active defense. We need to get better on 3rd down--that is what separates us from being a great D. 2) Awesome special teams whose main cogs are either signed for next year or in a free agent status that will cause them to be back. The only thing lacking is consistent place kicks.... 3) Some of the basic elements on offense--but we still need a talent infusion on the left side of the line, depth at RB, TE and maybe WR. 4) A quality coaching staff and good team leadership. We need to improve: ON D: A more consistent pash rush on third down and better drop coverage on third down in the short to mid area are the personnel things I think would make a difference. On O: We need a talent infusion on the left side of the line, depth at RB, TE and maybe WR. We need QBing that can win a few games a year--not just not lose games but actually be the difference in 2 or 3 games a year..... Other teams have a much longer list...this can be done in one off-season with our cap room and existing talent. Some guys can improve to take some of these slots--Kelsay could be that pass rusher on third down and maybe Crowell is the drop linebacker--you never know...Let's hope they get to work.

Picasso...man you are talented....Billsfanone changes name to Pablo... -
All it takes is one team to stop them....the Bills need to be that team...
-
We have got to get back to and WIN this game. TD, Mike Mularkey-- make it happen. I hate watching other teams compete for what should be our trophy.... Whatever needs to be done with this team, make it happen...my patience is gone..
-
I believe you are correct d--but I think Sam had expressed interest in signing on for another year with the Bills and the offer, even at the vet minimum, was never made...

Cheney wants to fish Cheney makes it as official as you can 4 years out from an election year....no big surprise... I worked as a DoD beltway bandit (helping coordinate our security support to the Spanish National Police for the Barcelona Olympics) in the early 90's. I had some interface with the Secretary's office and worked with him planning a couple of events. I found him to be a kind and decent man--respected and loved by his staff. Not afraid to fight vehemently for his beliefs but always with an intense love of country and a willingness to listen, even to my more liberal views during our briefing meetings.
-
He was still a devastating blocker Magic...the problem was he was not getting to the hole quick enough to be a consistently effective lead blocker. His quick burst was starting to fade and when holes are only there for a split second--that's not good... Great guy, great leader, great player....just age starting to catch up.

"And that's when I asked Isotoner to come up with the invisible thumb glove" or Dan Marino displays how many wins he expects the Dolphins to have their first year under Nick Saban.

I wonder if Tom Brady will be distracted by his death.... RIP Dean Wormer...you sneaky little sh--...get that horse out of your office...
-
hey if it does distract him, maybe we can pray for his other grandmother or grandfather or another relative to die a couple of days before they play the bills next year...we may have found our way to win.... Rest in peace Margaret Brady.....prayers to your family.
