  1. Its Ratzinger
  2. Cardinal Ratzinger has shown none of the flexibility that JP II did....JPII was also orthodox but had an equal dose of realism and outreach... I don't know Dr. Fong. I will never give up my faith or participation--but a shepherd who brings us back to borderline intolerance of other Christian and other faiths and doesn't deal with the world's many issues and many types of people in a manner that combines empathy with faith would be hard to swallow.... Ratzinger is in his late 70's, I think we need longer term leadership...
  3. Streaming EWTNLive TV from EWTN--pull down Television menu and go to your preference for streaming...
  4. Waiting for the official introduction..no confirmation on who it is
  5. We'll see how many times more than one it happens...its called the Wonderlic of hard knocks...
  6. Tipster...I like your thinking --but you traded away the #55 and then drafted Jason Brown with it.....reminds me of my post last week when I guaranteed Travis would be traded by MARCH 25th Denny Green might go for it if you throw in a box of twinkies...
  7. I am excited to see this kid play. I know he is working hard, studying film, learning to read coverages, learning his receivers, etc. and I want him to be prepared. He has his Yoda in Wyche and it looks like they have become fast friends. Even with all this preparation and study, the thing I am looking forward to the most is to see him make plays when protection breaks down. I know there will be mistakes--but there will also be a lot of excitement... Some interesting things/gimmicks I expect to see in the playbook... Once or twice this season--a full house backfield with an option like pitch to Willis McThrillus. Throwback pass from Moulds/Fast Freddie to JP A couple of naked bootlegs in the red zone This is such a stark change...we may have some advantage early in the year because the offense will look so different. Should be interesting...
  8. Dick Ebersol is back at work (quoted in the article). That is good to see. Congrats to NBC...bring back Curt Gowdy and Al DeRogatis
  9. Show some passion for the business sector in which the company operates, but do it genuinely. Go beyond saying "I have always been fascinated by this line of work" but show him you know where the market is going and you can help the company get there. If there are market share figures on a site like Gartner or other industry analysts have those in your hip pocket. Also talk about the next generation of product or service for the company and how you can help them get there. Get his/her vision on this first and then show how you can feed into this. Equal parts listening and talking on this one. This is the visionary person for the company -- so you want to figure out where they are taking the business.. (assuming they have a plan).. Have at least one or two anecdotes regarding how you have went above and beyond for the customer. One of the things that CEO's don't want is a person with these type of attributes working for a competitor...you'll get that little extra $ you are seeking. Good luck----
  10. I am Tuckered out.....
  11. Damaged goods??? Doesn't sound promising...although he was the reason that Gandy was cut...
  12. We are or not? By the way Astro--excellent work on your mocks and trades...good stuff....you and Rich are to the draft what clumpy is to the cap.
  13. STOCK RISING: The Bills are excited about the development of DT Lauvale Sape. Although he has played in just two games in two years, the team believes he could work his way into the defensive line rotation with a strong spring. Sape (6-1, 296) doesn't have great size, but he is a high-effort player who is strong, physical and tenacious. He has worked hard on improving his technique, getting off the line quickly and using his hands to fight off blockers. The team believes Sape has plenty of upside and will be given a chance to earn a more prominent role on defense.
  14. Just having a little fun...not trying to be realistic at all... I want to keep Nate--and there is always the franchise tag--but that's probably close to $7 million to $8 million in cap room next year....don't know whether we will have that much space available.
  15. Exactly!!!! Here's one Frez... Trade our entire draft for the rights to ricky williams...
  16. This was my wild eyed scenario yesterday....I would amend this only in that I might draft Marlin Jackson or Fabian Washington instead of Carlos Rogers--but that's the bills decision...pure speculation--hot stove stuff--not serious at all. With TD anything is within the realm of possibility. That is why I will be at least keeping an eye on the draft even though as it stands right now, we won't pick until 5-6 PM ET or so a week from today. Here's one----McNally covets Khalif Barnes and somewhat Alex Barron -- if you remember after the combine he was comparing Barnes to what he saw from Anothony Munoz. The great thing about Barnes is that he is projected to go anywhere from the early twenties to the early 30's....This will be a cheap price for a left tackle for 5 years....around $2.5 Million a year average... 1) Trade Henry and #86 (3rd round) to Eagles for #31 2) Trade Clements to Washington for #9 and #112 (4th round)- Snyder would easily do this. 3) Trade #9 to KC so they can draft a top flight corner for #15 and #46--it fills KC's one remaining need...Kiper has Pac Man Jones at 9 So now we have #15, #31, #46, #55, #112, #122.....we have Vincent to play corner, we have Baker to play safety...at #15 we draft Carlos Rogers-CB Auburn to groom to replace Vincent at CB-Rogers fits our D and is battle tested--he immediately steps in at #3 and maybe gives McGee a run for his money at #2. At #31 we draft Khalif Barnes to groom at LT. At #46, we draft the best interior OL available (Spencer, Bass, etc) to compete at C and at #55 if available we draft Nugent...Three solid rookies--all good charachter all not having to start right away-but all add serious depth and perhaps the best kicker in the draft in a long time... It would be just like TD--start the draft thinking you won't have to pick until 6 PM and then have 4 picks by that time There is virtually no cap hit to trading Clements and Henry so you have the rookie cap to afford this after the trades....if we are going to play hot stove league you guys need to get a bit more off the wall!!! Its fun to be crazy isn't it.... This would be TD's coup de grais...
  17. Cleaning diet coke off the monitor.......
  18. Watching Terrence McGee return a kick is the most exciting thing for me to watch in the NFL today....want to talk about a kid with "Football Speed" .....whoa baby...sure glad he is ours... Mr. Mexico has nothing on this kid. One question--if RM and his babe adopt kids are they New Mexico or Mexico, Jr...
  19. Your argument is definitely a track the Bills can follow and be successful...I look at the same set of circumstances and conclude: 1) Tucker did a good job at C last year when called upon. Read Bills Digest two years ago when he was thrown into a starting role for a while. The guy knows everyone else's on the lines assignments. He is a line coach on the field. 2) Shelton uses up $1.75 million in cap money (his $3 million minus the $1.25 million we get back for Henry)--that's two rookie contracts at the second round level...give me the extra second rounder instead. Usually second rounders get around $400-500K in amortized bonus on a 4 or 5 year deal plus a rookie min contract. I think we are better off in the short and long term--not tying Shelton to whatever we get for Travis....
  20. Joke--this isn't directed only at you--but Shelton has not been a model of consistency. He has been less of an acheiver than our own Mike Williams in a lot of people's minds. He will have trouble beating out Teague for the LT position and he costs $3M..... Teague is not the same player who was rehabbing off a knee injury and gave up 12.5 sacks at LT in Denver 4 years ago...he improved as much as anyone on the line last year. His issues in Denver were both with speed rushers and being overpowered--he took a big step up last year in being able to defend against the bull rush and i think at least some of the problems with speed had to do with the knee. I wouldn't discount him being the best LT we have at the end of camp no matter whom of the current suspects (draft, FA, June 1 cuts) we bring in to compete... Again just my opinion--but I wouldn't sell Trey short in the LT competition. Plus I really like Tucker and say Jason Brown, Chris Spencer, etc competition at C....
  21. See all the fun TD gets to have by spending two grand for a first class ticket, hotel room and a couple of meals. I bet that Khalif Barnes and Alex Barron have also visited.....
  22. Richard Hertz
  23. Good points. It would be interesting to see the list beyond the top 5 to see how many starters contributors came from later in the draft. The draft a crap shoot at best--but in the days of the cap--you better be successful at picking contributors no matter what draft position you have because you need guys who can at least contribute during their early and cheap years in order to win and to acheive cost balance on your roster. You can't buy or acquire established talent at more than 5 or 6 positions--young guys have to come through...For every Takeo Spikes you need a Terrence McGee and a Ron Edwards to step up...
  24. Just wanted to wake up everyone who was hungover on a Saturday morning...Can't we have some fun....unfortunately this is not the most ridiculous scenario I have seen posted in the last few months....
