Found this interesting... Mike Gandy Stats Jennings Stats Gandy has a higher sack frequency at LT, but he also has a little less penalty frequency than Jennings. Both lack elite durability. Its not that much of a downgrade if you do the stats comparison...plus this doesn't factor in the run -- which was never Jonas' strong suit. -

How many !@#$ing positions is this idiot gonna take on this issue... 1) TD is an idiot for not getting the deal done--TD is a pompous !@#$ 2) TD got lucky and is still a pompous !@#$ 3) Travis' agent will lie about the value of the contract 4) Travis is a turd who is dumb #1 and #2 are leftovers from a lawsuit that made Florio admit that he makes his column up--he is the National Enquirer of Football Information #3 was just outright wrong--real figures were released today--no hyping by the agent in any press I saw #4 Well Duh -- lets see--Travis bankrupted himself in his first contract and the Bills said this without saying it three years ago. Also he had an indescretion with young girls--both indications of somewhere south of brilliant. How do we bankrupt this Florio guy??? Better yet--let's each start our own on-line newsletter to compete...we know it won't take any investment in research staff -

Ross Verba is retiring and starring in a remake of Leaving Las Vegas.... -
It was an MM Move. Shaw missed two hot reads on blitzes. One each in consecutives games I believe. On one Drew hit him in the back with a pass. I think the message was--those who have their head up their ass during the game--will not be on my team. I questioned the move at the time--especially with Reed hurt--but you can't argue with the results.

Travis to Tenn for "Undisclosed Draft Pick"
JoeF replied to The Avenger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a little/a lot ridiculous...I mean he announces it in the first minute of the press conference. BTW -- he kind of slams Jacksonville -- said they talked Monday after Taylor's workout and Jax said they weren't interested in Travis--they consummated the deal with TN on Tuesday. Jax called back on Friday wanting back in...it was too late. Also at the end said there were no plans at present to bring Verba in..said its likely the roster they have now will be the one that starts camp. -

What p*sses me off with Travis
JoeF replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The difference is that now Henry seems to be the "chosen one" in Titan Land...instead of being the incumbent who gets the threat of a new back joining the roster. Englehard (or Hardly Everhard) had to call Drew Rosenhaus to get McGahee's quotes from last season when the job was up for grabs so Travis could recycle them. Maybe Chris Brown will end up in Buffalo as our back up.... -
The McGee returns are great....thanks for the reminder LA....I still love the fake sneak pitch to Willis in the Seahawks game....

Verba getting some interest from Buffalo?
JoeF replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Found this interesting... Verba Stats Jennings Stats Verba has been very durable the last 4 years and most of his career. He is similar to Jonas in sacks allowed and penalties committed from the LT position. -
Collecting multiple millions for spending 2 years on the DL and then getting blown up in just about every appearance...I am shocked you would think this...... This is a fun thread Astro...thanks!

I just watched the new/old uniform unveiling for the first time. If you haven't seen its in the video section at bb.com....it got me pumped seeing Vincent, Milloy, Clements, Stamer, Losman, Kelsay up on stage with Kelly, Kemp, Reed, Talley, Shaw, Paul M. etc. I am ready for this to start..

The argument I would have against the NASCAR crew is that they are support to the athlete, not the athlete on the field of play. The pits are like the sidelines. So you could say the crew that follows Lance Armstrong in a car passing water, changing spokes on the fly and probably making more than $60K for a summer of races has an easy job. So if we go with the field of play athlete, a couple of NFL teams still have kickoff specialists...no pressure of placements--just kick the ball deep after the team scores and collect vet min. A punter actually has to field a snap...kickoff specialst..kicks off a tee.

My vote of TD as Son of Satan has nothing to do with the trade..its my utter disdain for Sparky Anderson. Leslie Nielsen, Phil Donahue and Steve Martin.....who I believe are also son's of satan...the white hair is an evil angelic type cover.....Conspiracy All the Way...that's why Marv keeps the streaks of gray in his hair... Signed... Oliver Stone

I agree Kelly. Good luck Travis. I, however, have a little different take on the last sentence, I hope Travis is in the line-up if we ever play the Titans, because: 1) Chris Brown scares me more with his speed 2) Travis will miss a critical block, trip or fumble at the most inopportune time for the Titans I love his toughness, I loved him as a gamer, but in the clutch--Travis rarely delivered. In 12 games, Willis gave us last year what Travis couldn't in three and a half years. Good luck #20...

I was a little disappointed that we didn't get an '05 pick..but as I look at it--the 06 draft is rated deeper and a top 100 pick can be leveraged to get a player or move up in the first or second round and grab a player the team covets--this was a really good job. Another case where patience pays off. Just FYI--here are the first 10 picks in the third round from the last three drafts: 2003 1(65) Cincinnati KELLEY WASHINGTON WR TENNESSEE 2(66) Detroit CORY REDDING DE TEXAS 3(67) Houston ANTWAN PEEK DE CINCINNATI 4(68) Chicago LANCE BRIGGS LILB ARIZONA 5(69) Dallas JASON WITTEN TE TENNESSEE 6(70) Arizona GERALD HAYES MLB PITTSBURGH 7(71) Minnesota NATE BURLESON WR NEVADA-RENO 8(72) Jacksonville VINCE MANUWAI OG HAWAII 9(73) Seattle WAYNE HUNTER OT HAWAII 10(74) St. Louis KEVIN CURTIS WR UTAH STATE 2004 1(64) Arizona DARNELL DOCKETT DT FLORIDA STATE 2(65) San Diego (from NY Giants) NATE KAEDING K IOWA 3(66) San Diego NICK HARDWICK C PURDUE 4(67) Oakland STUART SCHWEIGERT S PURDUE 5(68) Indianapolis (from Cleveland) BEN HARTSOCK TE OHIO STATE 6(69) Indianapolis (from Atlanta) GILBERT GARDNER OLB PURDUE 7(70) Green Bay (from Jacksonville) JOEY THOMAS CB MONTANA STATE 8(71) Tennessee (from Houston) RANDY STARKS DT MARYLAND 9(72) Green Bay (from Washington through Jacksonville) DONNELL WASHINGTON DT CLEMSON 10(73) Detroit KEITH SMITH CB MCNEESE STATE 11(74) Buffalo TIM ANDERSON DT OHIO STATE 2005 ROUND 3 # Sel# Team Player Pos.
