  1. When we left Buffalo in 1976 and moved to Halifax Nova Scotia, I was amazed to find that at night I could pick up WKBW AM radio (1520) from Buffalo up in Halifax. They played a slightly higher caliber top 40 than the Canadian stations did, but certainly nothing like Q FM 97.
  2. After a bit of hemming-and-hawing, I did decide to sign up to once again be a shavee at this year’s St. Baldrick’s event. It’s about raising funds for childhood cancer research; for finding/creating more child-centered treatments that don’t take such a devastating toll on their tiny bodies as the adult treatments they are forced to use now do. And it’s about supporting the kids who are currently at any stage of having to deal with cancer. I do this in honor of my friend Matt’s daughter Sweet Sally Sunshine, who now battles seizures brought on by the harsh chemo that for now has removed the Infant ALL Leukemia from her body but has also damaged her white brain matter. And it’s just one of the challenges she and her amazing family endure every day. If you’d like to read about her journey, here’s her web page: http://www.sweetsallysunshine.com/ This year’s St. Baldrick’s event will be held at Finn’s Tap Room in Victor on Sunday May 7th, starting at 1PM. It’s a great venue and a wonderful environment – stop by to support us if you can! Great food and drinks too J Finn’s Tap Room 14 Railroad Street Victor, NY Long story short – if you’re of a mind to please think about making a donation – any donation is gratefully accepted. Here’s a link to my page: https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/924069/2017 Thanks as always!
  3. Game of Thrones NYPD Blue Barney Miller Monty Python's Flying Circus Seinfeld
  4. The only one I've been to was a Monsters of Rock show (in '88) with Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions & Van Halen. Scorpions were much better that night.
  5. There are many who stopped posting due to lack of desire to deal with trolls or debate every little thing, as has become commonplace. I'd put AussieW, R. Rich, and even myself to some degree in that category.
  6. FWIW - my sister was diagnosed with PTSD after a string of personal losses/challenges, and she says that the one thing that has helped her the most is meditation (not medication).
  7. Or would this mean that the terrorists have won?
  8. So sorry to hear this, ~NG~
  9. Hear me out on this... It's become apparent to me that more often than not whoever we Bills fans root for in any game will lose that game. Think of the power this gives us! We are the George Costanza of the football world. We need to start doing the opposite...
  10. I am *so* turned on right now...
  11. Some other traditions that could be the cause: Pinto Ron's consecutive game streak (currently 373 games I believe) started in 1995 - we haven't won a playoff game since then The domain TwoBillsDrive.com started in 1997. No home playoff games since then. The first TBD Annual Home Opener Tailgate was the season opener for September 2000 against Tennessee, right after Home-Job Throw-Forward. No playoffs of any kind since then.
  12. No, but my sister works for American...
  13. It's available on Demand on Directv - 1271.
  14. Switched at birth - Sean McDermott & Ron Howard?
  15. I'm already there. KIDDING!!! Just kidding...
  16. I am and I did Saw Rod at the Dome in Syracuse - just wasn't into what he was doing at the time. As for the Beach Boys - played Ted Nugent at full blast from my Sony Walkman for the entire show.
  17. Best: Van Halen - Women & Children First tour 1980 Queen - The Game tour Stevie Ray Vaughan - Soul to Soul (opened for Robert Plant, who was "meh") Scorpions - Monsters of Rock @ Rich Stadium 1988 - way better than Van Halen who closed the show Devo - Freedom of Choice 1981 Rush - Farewell to Kings 1978 (first time seeing them) Judas Priest & Iron Maiden @ Landmark Theater Syracuse 1981 AC/DC - Back in Black tour Rush - R40 tour last summer Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse of Reason tour CNE Toronto Least Favorite: Beach Boys (forced to go by girlfriend at the time) Rod Stewart
  18. During my time with the Fan Advisory Board, this was one of the biggest topics with the fewest answers. This is why they tarped over the first 2 rows of the lower bowl behind the benches a couple of years ago, to try to remove that as one of the reasons people were standing so much. Personally, not that it happens often but if I get tired of standing I sit and watch one of the jumbotrons.
  19. This is still on but will probably be more of a bitching session after last night's debacle.
  20. These are in a small TBD-only group. About half-way up section 331. Face value price $104. THESE ARE NOT FOR RESALE!!! PM me for purchase details.
  21. Everybody knows it's "Common Man"
