Yep Alexander is out for another week or 2, as is Hasselbeck. Wallace didn't look bad against Oakland and Branch did have a TD. They face a much better team this week (Rams) but are at home.
Henderson seems to be a viable option only when Joe Horn is out, and he's iffy with a hammy this week.
I'm leaning toward Branch & Henderson this week and playing it by ear after that.
I had Bernard Berrian as a starter and Amani Toomer on the bench. Toomer's now out for the year and Berrian is a) slumping (along with Grossman) and 2) out for a bit with a rib injury. Andre Johnson is my other starter and I picked up Deion Branch last week.
I picked up Devery Henderson and Antonio Bryant off waivers. I have a guy willing to trade me Randy Moss for Cadillac Williams.
I need to start 3 WRs, as only 2 of my RBs are worth anything (Williams and Reggie Bush are benched )
So...
a) do I make the trade? I hate Moss and he looks like he's given up in Oakland.
2) which 2 of Branch, Henderson, Bryant (and maybe Moss) do I start with Johnson?
Brady, Cadillac, Berrian... The list goes on and on. Brutal.
And yet I can win if I get 17.5 from Seattle's kicker and D tonight. Only because the guy I'm playing isn't maintaining his team and has 3 players on a bye.
Another come from behind victory as the Sabres score 3 unanswered to erase a 3-1 deficit and win 4-3 in ooooooooooooooooooooooooovertiiiiiiime.
All those penalties in the 2nd were not good. Also of concern is that the injuries are starting to mount - looks like Max will be out up to 2 weeks with a probable shoulder separation. 2 Amerks (Paille and Stafford) played well tonight with Stafford in his first NHL game setting up Briere's game winner.
