IIRC this was called the "sugar huddle" - where 12-14 guys would be in the huddle near the line of scrimmage, then some would run off and they'd line up and run the play. Totally different than our no-huddle.

I'm starting to think that rather than these being knock-offs they are actually "imperfects" that they decided not to sell through their own channels. I know the super bowl shirts showing the losing team end up in Asia somewhere - the same might be true of these and they're just getting back here instead.

Honestly, I think that was the game plan. They kind of reverted to the Walt Corey 'bend-but-don't-break' mode - not wanting to get beat deep and hoping the Cards would make a mistake before they got to the end zone.

That was even worse in Chicago, because during the 'pause, pause' the entire crowd yells "FIRST DOWN"

This jersey was waiting for me when I got back from Arizona, and I gotta say it looks better than I thought it would. The stitching on the front & back numbers is really nice, and there was plastic covering the painted sleeve stripes. One of the shoulder numbers has a slight wrinkle, but I'm very happy with it. I'll be heading out to the pub crawl here in a minute but just wanted to let you know that the Bills fans are representing BIG TIME here in the desert. We did a private tour of the stadium this afternoon, which was pretty cool although they didn't do the locker rooms or anything like that. Then the late afternoon drinking by the pool and getting ready to head out to the Native New Yorker for the evening pub crawl. For Arizona it's pretty crappy weather - cloudy with sprinkles and upper 80's. But for us it's FOOTBALL WEATHER, BABY! There are Bills fans everywhere, and we should swarm that place tomorrow! The throwbacks look quite good from what I've seen. I've seen the newer style ones that look horrible, from the baby blue sleeve stripes to the pink sides and the plain white lettering - not even close!
