  1. well, if you say to a room full of people "does anybody want these" and nobody takes any of them, it implies that nobody wanted them. Or they're hard of hearing. And yes, I'm aware that we could have had too high an asking price. But on day 2 how high could any price be?
  2. So EA can't do math OR research - doesn't bode well for Madden 10...
  3. Maybe they're reeling from Madden's retirement
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/colu...&id=4102721 I hope nobody has their heart set on seeing us getting anything for them...
  5. It was fun. Not too crowded that the lines to do anything were out of line. Weather was awesome. We had tix in the Jim Kelly club with the other "lowly" season ticket holders but a friend (THANKS, LANCASTER STEVE!) came thru with some club seat tix for us. I think the difference was that the food was free and we got to skip the line for the locker room tour. My son, who's 11, loved the combine exercises. It was cool to be there for the intro of the 50 anniversary team.
  6. I figured that they went with the single-back offense and 3-4 defense because that's what the Super Bowl era teams predominantly used.
  7. http://photos.pennlive.com/photos/patriot-...39c098bbd44.jpg Nice vertical!
  8. Not that I agree, but I think his issue is not with Wood as a player, but more with what we didn't get with that pick (ie a tackle).
  9. Obviously the voting was slanted to the 90s teams - maybe younger voters who don't know anyone from the 60s thru the 80s. Major surprises to me, all from the Super Bowl teams: Conlan Odomes Lofton Henry Jones Ruben Brown's inclusion also surprised me. For the record, I voted for Jim Haslett, Bob James, Golden Wheels Dubenion, Tony Greene, and Reggie McKenzie in the place of those 5. I too had 4 guards and no tackles.
  10. Don't be hard on everyone, jester - we're all just droopy from a long hard day yesterday
  11. Only cause he's short - he was in front of me.

  13. The Bills' 50th anniversary O-Line featured 4 guards and a center - maybe we're going to that model in real-life.
  14. Ironic that we drafted Levitre and Wood together, ain't it?
  15. Shhhhh - I'm just trying to see if I can get EZC there early to set up the tables...
  16. Nope - 6 AM as always.
  17. "Upside" is such a weird term - to me it means the potential to be much better than he is now. Do you use the 11th pick on upside/potential? That's my point - big question mark. Could be huge, but it's not a slam dunk (not than many draft picks are).
  18. I was thinking the same thing, if they decide to use him that way. It sounds like they want him to continue to bulk up for the line though. I honestly don't know how he'd be in coverage or anything like that, but he was the first comparable player that popped into my head. Could become quite confusing for linemen to use him in zone blitz situations - put him and Kawika next to each other...
  19. The more I read about Byrd the more I like that pick. I would have been slightly happier with Orakpo over Maybin, but love the 2 interior lineman picks.
