Lot 1 is now a pre-pay lot. You have to have a pass to get into it, which you can buy on a single-game or season basis. Not sure they're parking Disney-style or not. I didn't think they were last year, and when it was half-full just before kickoff they started letting anyone in, pass or not.

From what I've heard, the Disney-style parking will only be (for now) in lots 2 & 3. I did hear an interesting point on WGR this morning (no, really!)... In late December when they don't fill up the lots, you'll have half the lot crammed together and the other half totally empty. I don't get how this style of parking facilitates an easier exit. People don't all leave at the same time. It's not like church where each pew leaves after the one behind it in an orderly fashion.

You want to park at Pittsford Sutherland High School, which is on the corner of Jefferson Road and Sutherland Street in Pittsford. Shuttle busses leave from there ($1/person). Practice starts at 7 so you probably want to get there before 6 to a) beat the crowds and 2) give some time to peruse the Bills Store on-site. Historically we've gotten a tent, tables and chairs, and provided non-alcoholic beverages. We put on a raffle/silent auction and sell 50-50 tickets with proceeds going to charity. We've collected $6/person to cover those expenses as well as the spaces taken up for community areas in the parking lot. In recent years we've had an on-site ribs BBQ and a band. There's usually a dinner the night before. The last couple of years there's been a golf outing Saturday afternoon. We have a community food table for snack-y items or breakfast. It usually starts pretty early You bring your own main meal and alcohol, although most people are also willing to share those things as well If you've never been to a TBD tailgate it's a great way to actually meet the people you "talk" with on a daily basis. We've found that the personal connections made at this event help to keep The Stadium Wall a more civilized place compared to some. If you're curious you can go to the Gallery link above and check out photos of past Tailgates. We've just heard very little chatter or excitement about the tailgate this year except for the regulars, and we don't want to incur those expenses if nobody's going to show up.

Because if only 15 regulars are gonna be there it'll be a much smaller thing than the usual production. So please let us know by replying to this thread if you're planning on showing up.

This will be Tailgate XII (12) - think of the most famous Bill to wear that number and you'll start to have an idea. In honor of the change from Navy back to the color it should be, the shirt this year will be Royal Blue. Even if you can't attend the opener/tailgate (even though you really should make every effort to do so), this shirt is a must-have to show your Bills/TBD colors!

I spoke with the ticket office today just to find out what kind of tickets we could get in a block for the opener. I was told we'd probably be in $55/ticket land, section 335 row 31 & up. It'd be our usual gig - pay me (check or paypal) and I'd order them. I'd want to do it pretty quickly though so that we don't get hosed.
