Well the tailgate itself goes all day, with the Pinto and the bowling ball shots and everything else that makes it the best tailgate that isn't the TBDAHOT. Due to covid concerns over the last couple of years, the "ketchup ceremony" has been on hiatus but rumor has it that it may make a return at least for the opener. if it does, it's 90 minutes before kickoff.

Kyle asked him about this: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/09/13/bills-have-not-punted-in-three-of-their-last-four-games-unprecedented-in-nfl-history/ Without a beat, JA basically said "Yeah, but we had four turnovers this week which is worse than punting" Dude gets it.

This was also the first TBDAHOT. An epic tailgate followed by an epic game.

Man they were so good. Really effin good. Started out acoustic, almost like unplugged with everyone seated. 5 songs. A couple were rare gems (Yellow Moon, Man of the Hour). By the 6th song, the crowd was wanted to let loose and we got the perfect song for it - Given to Fly. Eddie obviously knows how to hold a crowd, both musically and verbally. He knew about Hamilton - the hockey team etc. He knew about a member of their fan club who passed away recently. He know about another who made the trip from Berlin cause it was on his birthday. I doubt he does this sleuthing himself, but there must be someone whose job it is to prowl the social networks for this stuff. He read people's signs, he scoped what PJ gear people were wearing. One song (Sad) in the playlist hadn't been played live in 6 years. They even flipped around and played a tune for the people sitting behind the stage. The stage itself wasn't much, but the show ROCKED https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/pearl-jam/2022/firstontario-centre-hamilton-on-canada-13b08999.html

He does a rush job on a per-play basis, then does a more polished version later. -

Finally some love for Motor's blitz pickup on the long Gabe Davis play! It jumped out at me during the game but not a peep from Collinsworth cause he don't know... Go to 9:27 and behold. -

I'm pretty sure Ozzy died a while ago, but nobody told him so he just keeps doing what he does.

Other things about the K-Gun and running primarily no-huddle: JK called his own plays. Don't think JA17QB1 is ready for that yet OLine was built/conditioned for it. Pretty sure ours isn't. Mostly successful due to TT's ability to run or catch and doing either out of the same formation. Motor ain't no TT. Maybe James Cook could be a similar threat, time will tell on that one

I noticed Ford wasn't wearing any kind of elbow reinforcement which he had been for the last couple of years. Ah well. Enjoy the desert, Cody. One more cut to make by tomorrow...
