Try driving through Indiana sometime. As for the OP - Darien Lake would be a good stop if she likes amusement parks. If she likes baseball, Rochester has a very nice AAA team/stadium. We like Green Lakes State Park (outside Syracuse) for camping. Lots of other nice state parks in the finger lakes. If you go way north, 1000 Islands has alot to offer.
