I was wondering if teams report phony injuries in order to IR guys. Also, does anyone else wonder whether EJ's knee injury is phony so that the Bills' coaches won't have to start him on the first game of the season against the Pats?

I can't think of any real big kicks he ever missed. The dude was Mr. Clutch for a good decade. Thanks for being a bright spot on many dismal Sundays.

I don't think Robey is going anywhere. He is way too talented.

I'm hoping Provo makes the team. I watched him at Syracuse and that guy can catch anything.

It's funny that scouting reports say Tuel has little arm strength, but he has thrown a bunch of really nice looking passes during practice and in the preseason game.

All I know is that I hope one of these guys pans out. We haven't had a good starting QB since Bledsoe left a decade ago.

Maybe Marrone is getting EJ ready for when we play the Pats in New England.

Rogers seems a lot like Stevie Johnson when SJ came into the league...raw yet talented, with a penchant for dumb celebrations/spotlight. Rogers has been hyped up by the media a lot more than Johnson was when he was first drafted. I highly doubt Rogers will be let go or put on the practice squad. Some other team would pick him up fast.

My uncle was friends with him back when he was at Syracuse. He said he was a smart guy. He said he went out to dinner with Brown, Ernie Davis and another fellow once.

It usually takes a couple years for receivers to develop. Da'Rick has the physicial tools, he just needs to garner some experience. My guess is that the team will keep him around for at least a year or two to see if he figures it out.

How come people say the Pats don't do well in the draft, but they win the division every year? I can't think of the names of more than a few players on their team. Methinks we could field all pros at each position and still come in last place every year.

I could see this happening after a few more terrorist attacks at sporting events.

There is no limit to human beings' penchant for gullibility. That which helps the Bills' cause most is the long period of time between the end and beginning of each season. 7-8 months is just enough time to forget how easily one was duped before and fall for something else as it is easy to sell hope. Russ Brandon would have made an excellent patent medicine salesman during the late 1800's. Here it is folks, step right up, this is the long-suffering Bills fans' friend and hope: Brandon's Bills Bitters.

There is so much potential at wideout for the Bills. It has been a long time since we have had a great receiving corp. Besides Stevie, the WR's were absolutely abysmal the last few years. No QB really had much of a chance to succeed with that crew.

Brad Smith will probably be the #3 or #4 receiver. He is a better player than most folks think. If the Bills use the K-Gun, Goodwin will be a great decoy, similar to Don Beebe. That's probably the role Marrone and Nix have in mind for the kid.

It has taken a long time for the effects of the infamous release of Smith, Reed and Thomas to dissipate. The release of those 3 long-time great players made free agent players stay away from Buffalo, and it contributed to the team's inability to re-sign some of their players.

Marrone handled Nassib well, and if the past is any indication, I expect him to do the same with Manuel. Marrone brought in Greg Paulus for a year to start at QB before turning the reigns over to Nassib the next season. If I remember correctly, during the year that Nassib rode the pines, Marrone brought him in occaisionally at the end of a few games where SU had blown out an opponent. Unless Manuel blows away the QB competition this summer, Kolb or Jackson will probably start. Based on what Marrone did in the past at SU, look for the older Kevin Kolb or TJax to start this season and Manuel to come in occaisionally at the end of games.

I still marvel at the fact that Rogers wanted to play for B'lo when half the other teams wanted him. Could it have been Ike Hilliard who persuaded him to sign with the Bills? It seems like we have some very promising UDFA's this year. Hopefully, teams will not raid our practice squad.
