  1. My own observations. He is rarely getting any separation from defenders.
  2. Unfortunately, if the Bills don't fix their OL, we won't be seeing much more of Orton. He usually only has 2 seconds to throw and is gonna get killed out there. How can our OL be so terrible for 15 years?!? Tom Brady has all day to throw, and I can't even name more than 2 of their linemen.
  3. I always defended Hogan. I think he has a lot of upside. That was one helluva athletic catch he made yesterday. He was determined to catch that ball at any cost. Mike Williams barely made the roster. He has lost a step, so I won't be sad to see him go. TJ Graham stunk from Day 1: he was a terrible, wasted draft pick. There is no way that either of those two jokers makes a catch like Hogan's yesterday.
  4. The only reason I can think that they are not playing him is they are saving his tires for future seasons.
  5. Why call it the bench. They should just call it St. Doug's Dog House.
  6. Year 2000 was the start of all that was bad for Bills fans. We unceremoniously released the core three of Smith, Thomas and Reed all on the same day, effectively insuring that free agents would not want to come play for the Bills for many years. We handed the keys of the franchise to Rob Johnson that year, and boy, we have not looked back ever since. The two consistent features of Bills teams in the 21st century have been bad Olines and piss poor QB play.
  7. MW has lost a step.
  8. The Bills D was good during Flutie's years here, but he played behind one of the Bills' worst Olines (and based on what we have seen the last 15 years, that is saying something). Johnson may have been more successful if he had decent protection. Flutie was able to make big plays in spite of a lack of competent pass protection.
  9. I don't know how Brady and Bad Billy B. can always be so smug and arrogant. Someday, likely after they have retired it will come out that there was lots more Patriots cheating (we only know about what has been reported) and favorable calls that went the Pats' way. If I had to guess, I would say Robert Krafty is behind most of it.
  10. We wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs w/out Flutie. RJ was terrible, but the schmucks on Buffalo sports talk radio did nothing but denigrate Flutie. This is where most of the Flutie hate came from. The Bills were a different, much better team with the little general at the helm. A lot of Bills fans didn't appreciate him at the time, and they still don't. In 1998 there was a lot of talk about the Bills moving out of Buffalo. Flutie put a lot of fannies in the seats, and we may not even have a team to root for if he hadn't come along. We have a top defense right now, so we should certainly make the playoffs, no?
  11. I'd take Flutie over any other Bills qb from the last 14 years. He was the last man to get this team into the playoffs. Coincidentally, the Bills oline has stunk since 1999. Or is it not a coincidence?
  12. My favorite is when fans say "If we start to win, we won't be on the short end of the calls." Well, how the heck can you start to win when the Pats ALWAYS get the close calls?
  13. All it takes is a couple bad calls and a football game can go the other way. The Pats have gotten calls like we saw last Sunday since 2000. I don't think Robert Kraft and Bad Billy B. liked those replacement refs too much. The Pats actually looked pretty average during the games while the regular refs were on strike. Coincidence?
  14. Too bad we just didn't keep Stevie.
  15. The Pats will win the division each year no matter how bad the players are. NFL games are rigged so that the most popular teams (Packers, Steelers) and the large market teams such as the Pats win the most games each year.
  16. Over the last 15 years, besides QB the Bills have had poor offensive lines.
  17. Chandler is a very good TE. I'm glad we have him.
  18. I thought Orton played well yesterday. He was under constant pressure the whole game. The running game wasn't doing him any favors, and he did not have much time to throw deep passes. Orton made some nice throws that went further than 2 yard EJ specials. On the other hand, Brady sat back in the pocket with all day to pass, especially in the second half.
  19. Oops. My bad, he was stabbed, not shot. He does seem to have lost a step this season, though, as he is not getting much separation from defenders. Hogan played surprisingly well. He has some upside.
  20. Our guards are terrible, and our secondary is terrible, especially the cornerbacks. Maybe the OL just needs time to gel, but the secondary is truly holding this team back. I hate to see the Bills waste more high round picks on cornerbacks, but until they address that position, this team will not be competitive against teams with elite QB's.
  21. Wow, folks are just waking up to the fact that the Pats get favorable calls. This has been happening for the last 15 years. The call against Hughes was a game changer.
  22. Mike Williams has lost a step. Maybe it was the gun shot to his leg, I dunno. The team should have kept Stevie Johnson, but hindsight is 20/20. Maybe Hogan will step up in a big way.
  23. Lasers are nothing to mess with. They should make what this kid did a more serious crime as it is similar to assault. Has anyone heard whether any of our players might have suffered eye damage?
  24. How many 300 yd. passing games did the original Captain Check Down have, if any?
  25. Smith was benched after the first half of yesterday's game. If the Jets decide to move on from Geno, we shouldn't feel bad about EJ's failures. It was a really bad drafting class for QB's.
