  1. I would certainly agree with that. However, do not discount the fact that most folks around the country would prefer to tune in to a Pats vs. Broncos game as opposed to a Bills vs. Browns game. ESPN does polls from time to time asking viewers to vote on the teams they would most like to see in the Super Bowl. The tv networks know by now which match-ups generate the most Benjamins.
  2. I am not much of a gambler, but knowing my luck at the casinos I would probably lose my ass. I would consider putting down some dough on the Pats' next home game against an AFC opponent, though. However, now that a lot of folks have recently become aware of the Pats' impossible home win streak against AFC opponents, they'd probably "accidentally" lose that one!
  3. Of course I root for the Bills. No one in their right mind would bother rooting for a favored team like the Pats or some other such large market team (the Giants). Whether it is media money or gambling money, billions of dollars will change hands during the season. I do not allow myself to get emotionally invested in these games.
  4. Of course every message board is filled with complaints about the refs. The match-up's help determine which team gets favored: From http://thefixisin.net/nfl2013.html "The NFL earns approximately $6 billion a year (more than 60% of its revenue which is enough to pay every players' and coaches' salary in the league) from its TV broadcast partners - ABC/ESPN/Disney, NBC, CBS/DirectTV, and FOX. Only Time Warner isn't directly involved with the NFL, though they do own Sports Illustrated and HBO - which aired Inside the NFL for 31 years. NO OTHER BUSINESS IN THE UNITED STATES IS DIRECTLY AFFILIATED WITH OR FUNDED BY THESE MAJOR MEDIA CONGLOMERATES EXCEPT THE NFL." When was the last time you saw the Bills or the Bengals have a bad call go their way against a large market team like the Pats?
  5. It's very entertaining to watch.
  6. Yup. Albany Law School. Here's some food for thought: The Pats have now won 42 straight home wins against AFC teams when Brady starts: He hasn’t lost at home since falling 17-14 on Nov. 12, 2006, to the Jets. That doesn't sound fishy to you? C'mon.
  7. It is specific to law school, but could be pretty much any type of overpriced higher education that saddles naive young people with non-dischargeable debt. If you google "law school scam," you will uncover a whole bunch of information, some of it written by prestigious law professors who are against the scam.
  8. The Pats' success over the last 15 years is all due to great coaching and quarterbacking. Lol.
  9. If people can't see that games are rigged, they are either blind or just too naive/innocent. As a victim of the law school scam and the mortgage crisis, I watch these games like I do the WWE. They are certainly fun and enjoyable: I get all worked up during Bills games. However, I can accept the fact that there are folks in the background pulling strings. There is too much money involved for the NFL not to be fixed at some levels. Even though European soccer games were fixed for years, the average fan could care less. He's still going to paint his face, drink beer and act like a passionate moron on game day.
  10. Not that it matters much, but a lot of NFL players are on roids.
  11. Some other poster said it best in another thread: The Bills haven't made the playoffs in 15 years and some folks here are worried about what might transpire 5 years from now.
  12. Lord knows enough people tried to teach Fitz accuracy.
  13. Right. It is my opinion. It was also the opinion of Coach Marrone as well. Were you one of the folks who obstinately rooted till the end for Losman and Edwards, too?
  14. You can have EJ, since the answer is with him WE WILL LOSE.
  15. Wasn't Orton in the running for the Heisman at one point during 2004? He was leading an untalented team that year. I think Matt Leinart ended up winning it. Orton has had a lot of bad luck over the last 10 years, kind of like Bills fans! QB's are usually good up until they are about 35-40 years old. I don't see why Orton can't play at peek level for another 3-5 years, especially since he hasn't worn out his arm the last few seasons. Orton may not be like Jim Kelly HOF great, but he may be Joe Ferguson good (much better than average).
  16. True. Fly away buzzard, fly away crow, way down south where the winds don't blow. Rub your nose and give two winks and save us from this awful jinx.
  17. Haha! Lol @ Bills fans. This team can't do anything right!
  18. TJ Graham is a jinx.
  19. I can only remember a few passes by EJ that went further than 5 yards. One was the Mike Williams 80 yarder that my grandmother could have made. Most of EJ's passes were thrown to Fred Jackson. Most of Orton's are going to Sammy and Robert.
  20. It's hard not to like the idea of his past potential, but what good does it do to throw the ball up and take a chance at an interception if Woods and Hogan can get open?
  21. Spiller's still got it, he just has a bad o-line in front of him. MW, oth, is done. He isn't getting any separation from defenders. The Bucs knew he lost a step, and he was a locker room nightmare. They were wise to ship him off. The rumors about MW almost getting cut by the Bills in the preseason were probably legit. We were all shocked when the Bills traded Lee Evans, but the FO knew what they were doing at the time. That said, I kind of hope the Bills keep MW in case someone gets hurt down the stretch.
  22. MW plays once in awhile, but the guy just can't get open anymore. He's about as useful to the Bills (barring an injury) as TJ Graham is to the Jets.
  23. We cut the right dude...Too bad Buddy drafted him, though.
  24. I think Graham still wants to play for the Bills!
