Agree they would not have made 4 straight, but on the hypothetical question... I'd say he'd be in the conversation. Too hard to choose though... I'd have to eventually say no because he didn't have the crazy stats, but he'd be up there. I can't really hate Lynch too much even after reading that. He needed to get out though, just had too much negative happen during his time in Buffalo. With that being said I'm still SHOCKED that we only got a 4th and 5th for him... just poor front office work. I would have been happy with a 2nd and 5th maybe, as they wanted multiple picks I'm sure to try to fill all the holes, but man 4th and 5th rd??? I don't really know too much about our 4th and 5th rounders from this year, so that is still the dumb move. They did a terrible job with leverage... running him to death the first couple games of the season to audition. Everyone know what was going on there, should have got more in return!!!

Trading back was a great move last year... got us Woods and Alonso instead of just one of those players... I'd look trade back every year if I was in the 6-12 draft position range with the holes we have.

I'd take Cutler. We won't spend the $ on him though. The Cutler to Texans talk is just scary! Texans an immediate contender again. I think that last line is telling though, we think Cutler would come in and make a 2-11 team a contender next year, but if he comes to Buffalo what do we think he can do with a 4-9 Buffalo team, make them 8-8 next year? It's just sad that he could be a savior to a 2-11 team, and the 4-9 team we blindly cheer for he'd make them average.

Byrd is really good, there was a big step from Jim Lenorard to him. I've heard countless times that if you had the choice to cut Stevie to keep Byrd, would you do it. Yes. Byrd is a top 5 saftey. Stevie is a top 30 WR. Playing the anaylitics game, you can find another WR to get Stevie numbers, but Byrd numbers are not as easily replaced. Bottom Line: Keep Byrd, pay him as a top 3 saftey.

Agree I'd move the Eagles in the middle category, and inclined to put Cheifs there. They are good, but it's not due to the QB. Alex Smith isn't definitely better then EJ.
