If I was Hughes I take the 10-11 somewhere else, but make sure that is mostly signing bonus/guaranteed, because they'll want him to restructure in 3 years when he's not getting double digit sacks... Hate to say it but he's part of the system here, a great part, but a part of it. Without three Pro Bowlers, he's average.

Well said... In the big thread it's also well put: Kiko is a very good player with the potential to be great. McCoy is already great, and has about 4-5 more years of great. Thinking for more than 3 years into the future as an NFL guy means you're probably not going to be an NFL guy long (player, coach, GM...)

Hope McCoy can humble himself, and know Freddy is still the leader, but McCoy is the workhorse no doubt.

conflicting reports for sure, but the 28 year old QB is the PERFECT age for a QB. 22 year olds need to sit and learn. 34 is too old... blah blah So we'll have 6 years of his prime, and with only about 4 years worth of this defense before we start losing those pieces it'd be the perfect trade if we can also restucture to a long term deal. GO FOR IT !
