EJ has some skills. I think his biggest obstacale is leadership. Hes gotta prove it to the guys in the locker room. I think Whaley has a good football mind in general. Marrone has an agenda.

Id be willing to bet Whaley brings in a vet, and drafts a rookie this off season. Id also be willing to bet neither one will be very thrilling. As far as a vet, id like to see them bring in a good character guy, someone that fits well in the locker room. Someone to offer significant competition for EJ to hopefully win the job against. This talk of him being "annointed" is absurd. Hes earned his spot on an NFL roster. No one is "annointed" a roster spot. Hes there because he deserves to be there.

I DO NOT trust Marrones evaluation of EJ. Marrone clearly had an agenda all year. Beyond that i dont think Marrone is even capable of developing a QB, he knew it and was scared to even try.

I said 45 seconds. Hes got skills, he didnt make it to where he is by being annointed. He may need to mature, and have a reasonable group around him, which he hasnt had.
