  1. I think Tyrod has great leadership skills, and tons of good electrifying energy. Also brings a lot of excitement to the game. That being said I prefer a true pocket passer, I believe that that is what is needed to succeed in the pro's. I think Tyrod could be figured out by 4-6 weeks of starting and will have to beat defenses with his arm. And I think that's the key for him. And also why I've been behind EJ for so long. I feel that Tyrod has a strong chance at being franchise if he has the arm, I'm voting 50% because I'm not sure he's got the arm, but I personally haven't seen enough of him to make that determination. If Tyrod gets the starting nod, I'm behind Rex's decision 100%, for probably this season and next. If Tyrod busts after next season as starter, I'll be getting mad at Rex.
  2. Wow, nice work! I just tried to ressurect an old Manziel thread to gauge what people here thought of Johnny last night but I suppose I should have used this instead, I just didn't see it. I thought he looked better last night, he's got a lot of energy, and definatly had the crowd pumped for a bit. He's just so small and unconventional as a NFL QB. he can throw a pretty nice looking pass at times though. So I'm curious to see how long it will be before theres a full blown QB controversy over there on the other side of lake Erie.
  3. So, with all the talk of our own QB situation, nobody seems to be discussing Manziel. As much as I didn't like him last year he showed some things last night, in my eyes. How do you suppose Cleveland feels about him today. The people in the crowd last night seemed to be pretty excited to see him make some plays and he looked a heck of a lot better, to me, than he did last year. Think he's got franchise potential? Or think he will be a complete bust like so many before him. Not sure if this is the correct thread for this discussion, or if anyone even cares, but, just looking for thoughts from the board on his performance.
  4. I just wanna see EJ take it by the nutsack. I'm dyin' see him beat Sammy, Woods, Clay, in the chest with the ball down the field 17 yrds, in full stride, like Brady does. I know he can do it. I'm dyin' to see this team win again. It's been awhile. Tyrod is great, EJ just seems to have that more pocket passer thing goin' which I like. Anyways, cheers to a helluva season.
  5. I realize that, Im just a Bills fan, so, you know.
  6. I don't wanna pee on anybody's parade, but we scored 11 points against Cleveland here.
  7. The job is sitting there for the taking. If EJ wants the job, he needs to take it. Confidence and leadership, that's how he can take it, or he can just sit there like a lump on a log. I don't care anymore. We need a leader.
  8. We need a new EJ thread. Like, "Does EJ deserve to eat lunch with the rest of the team, or should he be made to eat lunch in the basement"
  9. 11 to 10, against the Browns. Not exactly a barn burner.
  10. Nice couple of throws, I'd expect him to be better considering the guys out there. He's got the arm, does he have the leadership skills. That's what it'll come down to for me.
  11. EJ ought to be on the sidelines in those lineman's faces right now, telling them how to play their positions.
  12. EJ should be able to own this second string Browns squad though. Cooling off on EJ.
  13. Gotta get the post count up somehow. I cant just make fun of you all day. Imo Fwiw Jsyk Smh
  14. Well, looks like were going to have a much clearer picture of him about four hours from now.
  15. Yeah, I mean, as long as you agree with me, were cool.
  16. Dude, you gave me a baited question, I backed off answering it knowing full well that's what you were doing. Then after attempting to hold my feet in the fire over said question, I answered, in my opinion. Now you're twisting words and trying to throw it back in my face. You become less and less reasonable and salient with each post, and you're bait and switch tactics are transparent. Qiut being such a curmudgeon, and admit we don't really know what we have with him, as most reasonable people do. With your pic of stupid idiot Orton up there, no less.
  17. I have felt this whole time, that Rex is playing a shell game with all of us. Especially with the three guys in the competition.
  18. Well said! Then there are these guys that want to skewer EJ and Whaley for our QB troubles. It's just completely unreasonable to me.
  19. In my opinion, EJ has not regressed. He is an NFL QB on a pro team. He has not regressed. Yes, I said to myself as soon as we got Cassel and Tyrod, that if he can't beat out those guys, then I'm gracefully getting off the EJ bandwagon. And ya know what, the starter hasn't been named yet. Not that I expect him to start. He's got an uphill battle to get to be the starter. What pisses me off, is when you and your buddies sit around cracking immature jokes about how we should blame Whaley, blame nix, blame this blame that for our QB troubles, when the fact is, is franchise QB's are hard to come by. I'd say give EJ a chance, but yeah, the time has passed for that, I agree its now or never. I see value in keeping him around for the time being. And I don't want to insult you either, FC, and I don't want this to be like a fued, OK.
  20. Alright, I think we're done here, Ive read enough of your anti EJ arguements to have realized that your posting has regressed. And old school, come up with something good and get back to me, I'll be here all season, OK?
  21. Now you know darn well none of us have seen him enough to answer that. We all saw the gorgeous pass he threw so we know he's capable of that. That was a "how you gonna cut me" kinda throw.
