Falcons to End Price Gouging on Concessions

Atlanta is notorious for having a hard time getting people into the stadiums for their pro sports teams. Even when the Braves were dominating MLB for a few years straight, some of the world series games didnt sell out. -
I think Bills are planning a move up in the draft

Im not going to keep ragging on Whaley, i seen better, but ive seen worse. Hes middle of the pack. Hopefully it all works out and Taylor ends up being happy and successful as a Bill. -

Whaley is exactly what the Bills record suggests, slightly worse than middle of the road. -
I think Bills are planning a move up in the draft
TSOL replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have neglected the QB position since they began. This season is just a new chapter in that story. And this situation with Taylor, who is clearly a starter, is projecting that, to me. Theres three likely scenarios that i can see, for Taylor. 1. He progresses from last season and his earning potential goes where it should go. 12-16 mill? 2. He gets creamed and his earing potential nosedives 3. He takes his team into the playoffs, cements his place as a top 10 qb and can get the $20 mill he wants. Part of the point is, you want to be aligned with your QB, you want him happy, you want him as the happiest guy on the team. Not reaching, streching, getting aggrevated. Thats my two sense -

Lack of foresight? His agent is second string? He saw more zeros than hes ever seen in his young life? Idk? Ask him. Look, the bills got the formula all backwards, and its frustrating to me. Whaley has built nothing. And he just keeps getting a pass for Jerry Hughes? For Darby? -

He wanted to start, to prove himself, to get paid. This season is his fifth season? Yes? The clock is ticking on these guys earning potential My biggest point is that the bills dont have qb money. Why does this team treat that position like an afterthought? -

Homers. You guys are so wrapped up in stats and arm lengths and combine numbers you cant see the forest through the trees. Are you going to do a job for $32,000 dollars are year while the guy sitting next to you is making $120,000? Dont answer. Because clearly you three would be ok with that. I would not. But, i was ostersized last spring for saying Whaley is an idiot for spending all that scratch on D line. And i stand by that. What they are trying to get TT to play for this year is embarrising. Thats why his agent said what he did. And i dont even like Tyrod. But putting in all thework as a starting QB, taking every snap for an NFL franchise, 3 million? Almost criminal. -

The fact that Whaley and the Bills dont have starting QB money budgeted in is atrocious. The fact that they are going to name TT the unquestioned started and pay him 3 million this year is atrocious. If i were Tyrod, id be pissed. I would not be surprised if everyone close to him is telling him to get out of Buffalo as fast as he can. Im sure HE wants out of Buffalo, or 16, 17,18 mill a year. But regardless, hes chomping to get to Denver, where he would flourish. Here... What are we really expecting from the Rex led Bills this year. I know what my expectations are. -

It's known that Kane has at least one cop, as a family friend and on his payroll. We've all seen enough CSI to know how that stuff works. Hell, we were reminded how destroying evidence works in favor of the accused in the Tom Brady case, when he destroyed his phone. Could this be the same situation on a larger scale?

This is an interesting thread and an interesting concept. I've never heard of AR before but makes perfect sense. As Brady, many times in our game, and in the games I've watched them in before, gets the ball out so fast, before the receiver runs his route or even before Brady sees the coverage, seem like he is throwing to a spot, with confidence. Seems like they really showcased this concept in our game this week, because every other play looked like Brady could have thrown the ball blindfolded and still completed the pass. Maybe Belichek knew, knowing Rex, knowing our personel and knowing Rex's defensive tendancies, maybe he knew we'd be the perfect opposition for it to work on. It also seems like Pete Carroll and Russ Wilson employ some of these concepts in their offense in Seattle. But thanks for the breakdown, OPer, this is a much more refreshing read than the infighting on the Tyrod Taylor thread!

The best way to negate the type of defense NE played yesterday would be some quick inside slants that burn the opposing D and force them to quit bringing everyone in various passing lanes through the middle. I know Tyrod has been billed as smart, that he can grasp Romans extensive playbook. But sometimes simpler is better. Mastering two or three very quick release inside passes, timing type plays could go a long way next time a team trys to defend us the way NE did. Or could go a long way next time we play NE. We don't need 9 million plays in our playbook, they just need to master a few super effective plays that do not allow a defense to throw 8 guys on the line of scrimmage. Tyrod, and our offensive line were obviously confused early in the game partially by NE's pressure and partially by our own play calling. A fullback in the backfield would have been helpful to pick up some of those inside blitzes, a tight end to chip a block and release, and two receivers, to run fast short inside slants. Nothing fancy, just more back to basic offensive principles. I could see Taylor being successful with that type of offense.

Sammy - Time for this dude to start playing ball.
TSOL replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy is a blocking WR. A blocker and a decoy. We traded up to 4th for a blocking decoy WR. And he does that stuff well, right? But god forbid anyone question his holiness, Doug Whaley, for trading up for a blocking WR when we have no viable QB or offensive line. -
