(ot) whatever happened to the Fabulous Sports Babe
seq004 replied to bluenews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked her because she was honest. Even though she was a Phins fan whenever I called in to ask her why Brian Cox and the phins choked against the Bills again (which they did a lot in the 90's) she was really honest. She didn't like Ohio State and could identify with that. Hope she gets well. -
Bledsoe....contradicting himself on ESPN

Very accurate statement -
Remember when Haz stomped on Bradshaws head?
seq004 replied to Tcali's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How can I forget. He said he didn't mean to but if I remember it correctly it looked liked he had every intention of kicking that bowling ball. I would love to see them put that film on the NFL Network or Classic again with the blood coming down his face. Haslett used to come to our nieghbor's house (The Siriani's) once in a while. They had a son Joe who was quite a good Pop Warner player and his Dad was a coach and so somehow they became friends. -

He goes on and on about "he's not one of those guys to come out and say he's not being treated fairly" and then essentially does excactly that. Holy crap I just can't believe this guy has an ego so large that it's easier to say things like "It does bother me that a lot of the blame for the lack of our success was placed right on my shoulders." Can you believe that? An NFL QB being asked to hold much of the blame for lack of success on offense. What is the cruel world coming to Drew? Here's the best part talk about contradiction yikes! "As far as making bad decisions thats not true." "Do I make some bad decisions yes." Maybe he should look into what he lacks up stairs and that is the ability to make good decisions be honest with yourself and admitt that he failed in Buffalo instead of carring on a crusade. I mean this is just plain sickning. I hate to say it because I really liked the guy but after reading this article I have to say what a brain dead idiot. -
Perhaps Tom D. is not the idiot everyone

While I do agree that the majority of your team should be built on the draft, (longer contracts) however when you have spot on your team that you've targeted as an immediate need due to the loss of a player or it is a need that hurts you year after year, then Free agency is the way to go IMO. If you just draft at that position it's more than likely you will continue to have the same problem for at the very least 1 to 2 years and theirs also the risk in drafting a player who has never played at the pro level. It's better to get something for Travis rather than nothing and right now I simply don't agree on not doing a player for player swap. -
I hope so Fezmid. It needs to happen. It sounds like it finally will. It seems like you are also concerned as I am about losing JJ and putting in a rookie at center or LT. It's not very often you get a rookie that is able to play at his optimum level that he will reach in 2 or 3 years. The one guy that comes to mind is Ruben Brown's rookie year but he played guard and he also played with a bunch of Hofers around him and the threat of Jim Kelly screaming at him if he failed. The other guy was Tony Boselli

That guy is the biggest scum in sports today

Honestly WTF is up with all the Henry bashing
seq004 replied to zevo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Finally someone who agrees with me on Henry. Some team maybe Arizona will get a very good football player. A team player who is willing to sacrifice. Make the trade Tom. Oh I forgot TD knows what he's doing....can't you tell by his record in Buffalo he's always right. -
one of the toughest players in the NFL that carried the Bills to 6 wins in 2003 with a broken leg for the team. Without Travis were 2-14 in 2003. The Bills made the right decision in making Mcgahee the starter in 2004. Yes, no one wants to here Travis whine, piss & moan but he was a team player and it got him a nowhere. Yes, TD is right he's always right with player moves that's why were in the playoffs every year. Sorry but why not do a player for player trade here? Will LJ be cut? Maybe, but that also would mean that we might not get him so let me say this: Travis will not play for Bills this year and then he'll be a FA (can someone check to see if your eligible for FA if you sit out?) so in that scenario we don't get Travis or Shelton. I think this board is sometimes guilty including myself in assuming TD and management always makes the correct moves and anyone that disagrees is an idiot. Travis just wants another chance and a fresh start as does LJ so why not pull the trigger? If you think this O-line will be better than the first 8 games of last year your crazy. JMac is a great teacher but he has to have something to work with and remember we just lost our best Offensive lineman. Not doom & gloom just reality.
-
Sorry, but I agree with Travis on this one. I have no idea why TD would not make that trade straight up. It might come back to haunt him. I don't know about anyone else but I think TD is really playing with fire hear. This could make or break his chances for getting this team in the playoffs after failing to do that each and every year he's been our GM. Why not improve and upgrade the worst position on your team and let go of someone who doesn't want to be here, will sit out the year, and would be a cancer if he didn't sit out the year? Will Shelton be cut anyway? Maybe. Will the Bills have a chance at him if they wait? I doubt it.
-
To me that would be a good deal. I know a lot of people have said the word "Bust" but he's only been in the league a short time and would be a solid lineman when JM gets him.

57-38-6 Seems to me that Michigan has done the screwing when it comes to OSU. "What tradition?" They have a very good winning tradition. Do your homework.
-
I think it's definitely 78
-
I'm shocked!
-
We 'll have to trade up with Travis to get this guy. If we have any hopes of an improved offensive line TD will have to make some moves since FA is not helping at this point. He couldn't come from a better team in a winning tradition. Go Blue

Bills wanted DeMulling, but...

I think the cap started in the 1993 season, so for 1 season they lost some good players like Conlan, Wilford but still made it. I just don't see this offensive line getting any better. I don't want to get into cap trouble again but I don't see an improvement for a couple years threw the draft. I guess we can spin it and trust in TD but when the season starts like every year it will fade. I hope I'm wrong and most of the board is right. It's not doom & gloom just reality. -
Well, this awful economy in Buffalo still found

Congrats! I still miss WNY even with all the BS -
Yuck? Why is that not hot? I'd like to put some whip cream on that belly button and go to town!

Mike Williams sighting at the Ralph?
seq004 replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With that girth he was probably ten miles away when he saw him. -
Me too. Beyonce gets most of the pub but Kelly hotter. Sorry no link. I just read it in a magazine
-
Does anyone else think that Kelly's hot? I do. She's marrying Roy Williams of the Dallas Cowboys. That lucky bastard.
-
Excactly. Why not cut Wire also? At least PP could still lay a hit when needed. I don't know what happened to Wire after his rookie year
-
That certainly seems logical. I hope so.

Brian Nichols - Kutztown LB in 1989

You know what your right! I can always count on you Darin to set me straight. Honesty you are correct that was not an accurate statement. I guess I need to go back and change it to a "real good player" -

Yes, Tulane is a small school. Are you saying you already know that JP will reach the greatness that Andre Reed attained with the Bills? OK maybe I should have phrased it differently. Why can't we find a player from a small school that turns out to be a HOFER anymore? I forgot about Mcgee he's certainly off to a great start but we'll have to wait and see. The Bills had a knack for picking up good players from small schools in the late 80's and early 90's
