Scott might switch this to other board ....but man I would have loved to be at that one. The crowd sounded loud and jumping. My hats off to you for showing up. It was good to see and hear a full house for a team full of talent and heart. I'll be coming to town to see a game my self in a couple weeks. Go Sabres

I believe free agents come to teams for different reasons with the most important reason being $$. Another reason that seems to play big is stability at the top. If the Bills throw big money at Hutch or Bentley or whoever I'm afraid they may still have a problem going to a team with a lame duck coach assuming TD is gone and a new GM is in place. One thing I would like to avoid and this goes back to the Super Bowl years is the mentality of lets go after the free agent that's easiest to sign. To me that throws out a white flag right away. Why not go after the harder FA deal with all the crap in negot. but the payoff may be worth it. Case in point 1986 most fans including my Dad said their was "No way the Bills would be able to sign Jim Kelly" and a year later fans were in joyful shock to see the Bills pull off a huge trade and sign Bennett a player that the Colts wouldn't give big rookie money to. Add Bruce Smith who was the number 1 overall pick in 1985 and the Bills signed Bruce even before the draft and I'm sure that was a sweet rookie contract back then. Those three moves were the cornerstone of Bill Polian and the reason we went to 4 Superbowls. Did the Bills pay to much Money for Jim on his first contract? Sure did but you find players with character and if they see things are being done to bring a champioship to town and they remain loyal to a winning team. New GM, New Coach, New Philosophy=winning team.

Is it possible to download the radio re-broadcast of the game? I was listening to it until the 3rd period when they Sabres took the lead. This team is just never say die. I'll be going up for a game in a few weeks but until then all I have is the radio via the net. I have Direct TV also but put my $$ into the Sunday ticket. Can I purchase single Sabre games on Direct TV?

What did Saturdays win really accomplish?

It means nothing. Wait what it actually means to me is that MM should be replaced. It showed me that when the pressure is off the Bills can play with anyone. It showed me that they can beat good teams in their house WHEN THEY WANT TO. It makes me sad to look back and wonder what the hell happened to this team the other 10 weeks. It's hard for me to understand how some people can say "He saved his job by beating the Bengals." So the way the Bills collapsed from a 21 point lead in Miami, the embarrassing blowout in San Diego, to the Pats at home don't count? It was 1 game. We have watched his bad play calling all year. This team had the talent to at least go 9-7. Get a new GM if he wants to keep MM for another year and give him a short leash fine but most likely he will want his own man. Get rid of the players who don't care about the team like Willis, Sam and Williams. Change the roster to reflect every player on the same page even if it makes a lot of heads turn. -
Yeah, I haven't heard anything here in Columbus about Tressel leaving. I'm a Michigan fan also but Tressel is definetly an upgrade over MM but I'd rather have a guy who is a proven winner in the NFL like Vermeil

Ah yes 24 hours hours of peace before we get back to cutting eachothers throat threw a screen. Really though thanks to all who responded. It makes me think their is some unity on the board. God Bless and I hope you are ALL having a nice holiday.

Yeah, all of a sudden he doesn't look like that great a pick and gamble by TD. The difference from last year seems to be after the first initial hit last year he would still gain yards threw his strength but this year he's reminding me of Antwoine Smith. He gets hit by the first tackler then goes down. Of course if he had an offensive line it sure would help a lot.

No matter what your opinions are and we all have one, Happy Hollidays from Will, Denise, Sequoia, and little Samara

What a complete fart of the brain. Let me think threw the years..Oh yeah their have been 1 or 2 players that tend to play better in their contract year. Yeah, I'm sure everyone on the board is thinking my post was stupid. Now take your 100 posts and get of the board imbecile. Last impressions seem to work well in the NFL

Sorry saw someone already covered this.

That was a terrible spot. Could MM have challeged the spot of the ball?
-
What??? "You can't get those three years back-let it go." Hear I am thinking that players are evaluated each and EVERY YEAR that they are under contract. The guy had a decent rookie year and while he had some good games this year he's had some bad ones also. Trust me, he is not what the Bills thought they were getting when they drafted him in the second round in 2002. Also he's in a contract year which shows me he's just about the money. He will not be kept. I think Reed and the other great pick by TD that year will be shown the door and after TD opens it for Mike and Josh he'll walk threw it behind them!
-
Excactly! Stop messing with the guys head and let him play. We'll never know if he's kept on the bench.

The Bills MVP on defense and SP teams this year and last

Yeah, that makes up for 3 years of not showing up on Sundays

I've read on another board cough, cough, that the players can't stand JP. Has anyone else heard that? I just hope that this is not the reason MM played Kelly today. It was nice to see Kelly play well but I really don't see the reasoning unless JP is REALLY hurt. I read that the players think he's to arrogant for a first year player. I recall a bunch of veterans saying the same thing about Jim his first couple years in Buffalo and I think he turned out OK
-
Actually if you watched it closely MM did try and pull Bobby April away from the ref but April being the best SP coach in the league knew better than listen to him. I think Mularkey still has to win next week against the mighty Jets to save his job.

Biggest Bills disappointment this year...

Bills' Williams won't play against Cincinnati
seq004 replied to bluenews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Should say Bills tackle Williams won't play because he says "It hurts my boo boo when I block." -
Those look kind of weak to me but I sure like the Steelers drafts since he has left.

It's a dumb, stupid move which is the cornerstone of this coaching staff.
