It sounded like Wes got $6 M a year on a 2 year contract, I'm not sure of the terms like if it's $3 M this year + incentives & more next year but the cap should go up next year. That'll allow more room for extra monies to be paid. The Broncos are probably a player or two more away from a great chance at the Superbowl this season, health willing.

The Bills froze during day one of FA & cut our only QB. Knowing now that we're at least 2 years away from being decent, why spend all this money on Mario? We're better off diversifying our resources to other positions of need & not keeping the shiny penny. Our current ownership / management structure isn't going to change & we're 13 years out of the playoffs. I see us going nowhere until we get a new owner & he cuts bait, so Mario is a useless luxury that gets us exactly where we are, nowhere. Take 2 first round picks from Cleveland & ship him off, we need the picks.

Check the link on my original post, see the part that says NFL draft?? This was about how we got value in the draft by drafting a great T in the second round last season. A positive thread instead of the end of the world threads we see everyday. I know the change of pace is confusing, sorry. UDFA don't count. Players from 40 + Years ago / another era are great but to get this type of value on a starting tackle in the 2nd round is near a miracle. Normally 2nd round + T take years to start, much less at a high level. Nix gets all the credit & drafting someone like this in an age of information we live in is tough. Drafting 40 / 50 years ago was a different time, nobody knew too much & it wasn't anywhere near as well tracked. So of any of you that felt I cheated you in some way or had to reach way back to try & create a counter-point, congrats but it doesn't fall into line today. Cordy will be in the probowl within 2 seasons, health willing. I'm a big fan & that man is a monster, any QB we get would want him protecting them.
