I have no problem with you & think this extended conversation(s) have been great. Some simple questions is how much should we spend paying one guy who's past 3 years equaled his first at his position ? How much past $6.9 M are the Bills willing to commit ? Can the Bills justifying paying a guy that much with several similiar replacements on the roster already? Is there a possibility that the Bills plan on looking for a trade partner for a pick or player (pick being much more likely) ?? If they are looking for a trade partner, have they started already ?,

I can't say he guilty but he's in semi-seclusion.

We can't pay Byrd this type of money because he had a good rookie season, get all the value out of him you can or trade him for a top LB which we need so badly.

Hopefully our LB's learn how to tackle earlier so Byrd won't have to as much.

Byrd would be our most over-paid player based on his last 3 years of production. If he played all 4 years like he played as a rookie, I'd be there waving the flag myself but that hasn't been the case.

Hopefully Jim comes out of this ready to lead the Bills to the next big deal, he was born for this!

I wouldn't give Byrd a playbook at all, he's currently an outsider & will remain as such until he signs the papers. Would you like an outside team he might get traded too getting your playbook ??

I didn't say he wasn't a great player, I'm just saying that his first season was like phenomenonal & he hasn't performed as well aince. He wants to be paid like he has & that the last 3 years were like his first. That to me is a one hit wonder, not getting back to that high point since.
