Again, those "two bad teams" are in our division and they beat Carolina, an unbeaten Tampa Bay, and Denver - and Denver knocked off New England yesterday! It's the NFL, there's only a handful of players that seperate Indy from Houston. There's only a handful of plays that mean the difference between being 0-5 and 2-3, or 2-3 and 5-0. You play the next game, regardless of the oponent, and you try to win it. I make no excuses for the schedule.

I could go without it, but if he's not showing up the opponent or dancing around like that clown Jerome Bettis after a 3 yard run, I can't say it really bothers me. 'Course, it doesn't bother me when an opponent does a little dance after they beat us for 6 either. I'm generally too bothered that we gave up the score to care about end zone antics at that point in time.

Good point(s), he's an adult and after taking whatever advice he's received into consideration and he decides to play, that's up to him. All I can say is that if I'm him, my monkey butt isn't out there. Life's too short as it is.

I think the overall talent of this year's Bills team versus that of Indy's in Peyton's first year render that a moot point. There are plenty of success stories for those QBs who get the baptism by fire, and there are just as many for those who ride the pine for a while. Whatever it takes, but with the talent on our roster, I don't see why we'd squander an opportunity. Moulds, Adams, Milloy, Vincent, etc aren't getting any younger.

We can't run the ball as much when JP's in there because we punt every fourth play. But seriously, wasn't yesterday the first time we've had all 5 starting OL in the game at the same time? That may effect the play calling, or more specifically, the number of runs. Also, being able to move the ball in the air opens running lanes as the S and LB can't cheat. KH's experience allowed him to audible out of the called plays when NYJ had 5 down linemen, and then run several times out of the same set (that "near bunch" formation they used a lot on Sunday) when NYJ showed nickel or other "pass defenses." Yeah, the D gave up two big runs for 90 yards, but I thought they played much better against the run, as good a game as they've played since Week 1 outside of those two long ones. But almost cost them the game? No way. They got takeaways on 2 of NYJ's last 3 possessions, didn't they?

Thanks RJ. I'm always glad to hear that people appreciate the effort. After the game, one of the NO players said that had McGee not been out of gas he would have scored - and I agree with that. Right at the end of the half, that would have been a HUGE play. Like you said, water under the bridge...

I hope Bflo doesn't give up on JP so soon. If Houston's smart, they'll trade down for more picks and sign some FAs to shore up their OL.

Good point. But I'm not so sure that it's not a stretch to say that he saved the lives of some of our fellow Bills fans. A lot of them seemed to be ready to go over the Falls sans barrel after week 4.

So we can continue on the "who they played" or the "but they stink" or the "yeah-buts" if you'd like, but the bottom line is that Buffalo is 2-0 after the QB change. Or would you rather just continue to credit the schedule-makers for those wins?
