  1. What? Was it when I asked him about his Wrangler's package that got to you?
  2. This thread has me impersonating your avatar.
  3. I don't blame you. We Wrangler drivers are always a little bit nervous about some idiot, but I haven't had any problems. *knocks on wood* Our Backers website (BillsBackersofVirginia.com) has them in our online store. It's not for profit - all proceeds are donated to fight Multiple Sclerosis. They're $11.95, plus $4.99 flat rate shipping per order regardless of how many items you buy. Click on the 'BBVA Online Store' link if you want to poke around. What year/package Wrangler do you have?
  4. See, that's just it. We can argue about if for the next 50 years, but we'll never know how Elway would have done in New England's system. All we can do is look at their performance in the systems in which they played. He doesn't "win" all of his team's games anymore than he loses them - it's a team game afterall. That being the case, Brady is a very effective QB. One of the measuring sticks of a QB's performance are his stats. Brady's are pretty frickin' good, are they not? Another measuring stick is wins. I don't need to tell you how he's done there, do I? Now if you'll excuse me, I've just come dangerously close to defending him, and I need to go throw up...
  5. Why would the coaches listen to a former Sabres beat reporter from the Buffalo News?
  6. That's true, but no one said that Brady's talents are "portable to most NFL offenses historically." Or at least not that I've seen...
  7. Isn't that/wasn't that pretty much the case with John Elway, Terry Bradshaw, Johnny Unitas, Len Dawson, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, YA Tittle, Peyton Manning, Bart Starr, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, etc, etc, etc? Isn't it their execution in the system with which they work that seperates the proverbial men from the boys?
  8. I'm not so sure about that. We might not all jump up to defend Brady, but it is the usual suspects falling over themselves to blast him.
  9. Quentin Griffith, running backs, Lionel Gates, blah, blah, blah. Who cares? I want a link to Plummer's cheerleader girlfriend. Is she hot?
  10. I forgot I DVR'ed the same highlight package from NFL Network. I just took a look and you're right, as opposed to the streaming video from the web, it's clearly a '3' and not a '2' after the eight on the TV. Good catch - I stand corrected.
  11. That was me! I've had those so long, I don't remember where exactly they came from - but I'm thinking Sully threw them in the bag after I bought a Winfield authentic at his place back, shoot, 5 years ago or so. I usually have them on the breakerbox door which is in my game room/bar, but I slap them on the Jeep Sunday mornings during football season.
  12. In Tampa perhaps, but not everywhere -Bills President and General Manager Tom Donahoe. I'm kind of surprised you're still championing this. At the end of the day, you're entering a place where others are responsible for the general safety of everyone in attendance. Perhaps you've never been through a stadium pat down before, but it's hardly a cavity check. Frankly, with everything going on in the world, this is a non-issue to me. Have you been scouring the web all week looking to punch holes in every single statement made by those who believe it's a big deal about nothing? Give it a rest already.
  13. The guy had to be restrained by the club's security people. The club owner released a videotape of him breaking free from them and chasing after the two men, who had already left the vicinity of the club. If I'm a Seahawk player, the only arse I'm to going to kick is my teammate's for being an idiot and hurting the team.
  14. Or maybe you should park in Hammer's Lot. For the opener, my Wrangler was parked between the sidewalk and the tent, tops down and doors unlocked. Everything was just like we had left it when we returned to Hammer's after the game.
  15. How do you know what plays were or were not called? Perhaps the game was moving too fast for JP to hit those passes... In Mularkey's press conference on Sunday he said that long balls have been called over the last two games, but that KH took what the D gave him, short quick-hitters. Reading between the lines, that's one of the subtle nuances of the position that it seems JP has yet to figure out. Why do you think we saw a difference? Are you suggesting that the coaches wanted JP to fail?
  16. The funny thing about stats like that is what I refer to as "The Chicken or the Egg Principle." Do 30 runs a game allow a team to win, or does winning allow a team to run 30 times a game?
  17. We had an article on BillsBackersofVirginia.com about Tim Horton. If you want to know more about Tim Horton and the circumstances around his death, click here.
  18. I'm talking about how many they'll retire over the next 50 years, not including the 4 they already did.
  19. His schtick can get old fairly quickly, but he does a decent job of breaking stuff down for the most part. With Dierdorf, he's something of a tool IMO, but he's not any worse than the rest of 'em.
  20. It was Aiken on Freddie's TD, and (believe it or not) Josh Reed on Moulds' TD. Both of them allowed their teammates to get the scores and were huge, heads-up plays. If you want to see them again, go to BillsBackersofVirginia.com and click on 'Game Highlights' under the 'Bills/Jets Coverage' entry. And I agree with your comments about Shaud. A very nice change of pace. And with fresh legs, he looks even faster.
  21. He's intriguing. I know it was only preseason, and I know it was against back ups and scrubs, but he seemed alot like a poor man's McGahee. As much as I like the change of pace Shaud brings to the table, I am curious to see how Gates would fare in a regular season game.
