  1. Under what criminal statute? He could potentially be guilty of malpractice, but that'd be adjudicated in civil court.
  2. I am not confident they're there yet, but I would love to see it happen!
  3. "Actually didn't know who it was," Woods said. "Earlier in the game I was talking to [No.] 28, [cornerback Nolan] Carroll, saying 'good game, good plays' and stuff like that. Same thing with [cornerback Brent] Grimes. I don't know where [Jones'] actions came from, but actually [No.] 20, he cheap-shotted me last time we played as well. But I didn't know it was him. It was just one of those things where I guess that's how he plays." http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10186123/robert-woods-buffalo-bills-talks-ejection
  4. He said he'd never thrown a punch on the field or been ejected before this.
  5. “Just seeing the direction that we’re going, I think we’re going in a great direction,” he said. “I’ve been part of teams that are part of the building process as well. I was with Seattle before they started winning a lot of games. I see a lot of things that are similar and the type of guys that are playing on the field right now I feel like we have a great chance of being something special next year.” http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/DL-Alan-Branch-signs-extension-with-Bills/72db05dd-5f02-4b23-828b-cc5d75f28094
  6. Since we're powerless to stop the losing, accepting it is a response that reflects emotional maturity. As opposed to, you know, getting pissed off and actling a d-bag after each loss. It's just a game, not life or death.
  7. Good point. I mean, whatever happened to that QB from Syracuse? /sarcasm
  8. If only there was some website out there where we could enter the schools' names and have it search the web for the score. That would be awesome.
  9. It's not "coach speak" at all, but a natural evolution of the language. It's nothing new, it's been going as long as man has used spoken language. I have my own pet peeves about it, like "He played bad." No, the correct word is poor, and it's !@#$ing adverb, add 'ly' to the end of it!!!). But that's the difference between 'living' languages like English and 'dead' languages like Latin.
  10. Yes, yes, and yes.
  11. His blitz pickups are as good as there is - I'd say he's great at it.
  12. You'd make a more compelling argument if you posted his average yards per carry and they showed a sharp decrease in porductivity. Looking at his yardage totals alone might be a little misleading given CJ's been getting more touches.
  13. If tailgating was allowed, they would likely be in New Jersey already since, you know, that's where the game is being played.
  14. EJ's a pocket passer who has mobility, not an RGIII clone...
  15. Can he be? Sure. Will he be? That's doubtful.
  16. You play. To win. THE GAME!
  17. The run game will draw up a safety and LBs, but WR/bubble screens will draw up the CBs on the outside more quickly than the running game will. You may have hit the nail on the head in that they were trying to help EJ find some confidence and get into a rhythm, but that didn't cross my mind while watching the game. The only reason I posted was that it intrigues me when somebody else and I see the same thing and have two entirely different expanations for the cause or reason why it occured in the first place... Well, yeah, everybody get hurts a little in football. I suppose I should have said that EJ "hadn't missed a start due to injury."
  18. I'd go with "unlucky" for the time being. I mean, a guy who plays football from the time he is 12 without sustaining any injuries whatsoever until his first season in the NFL doesn't sound like a guy who's "injury prone" to me.
  19. Intersting, that wasn't my take at all. I thought they knew the JAX DBs would be playing off and wanted to draw them up closer to the LOS and make them jam on man coverage to allow some shots down field.
  20. Well, I know he didn't say it in the GR interview I heard. It's okay to not like the guy. It's not okay to resort to pulling crap out of your arse.
  21. London plays hard but with respect for his opponents. The NFL could use a lot more guys like him.
  22. When, exactly, and to whom, did he say ever that?
  23. IF the Bills pick him, I'll be his biggest supporter, but I hope they don't - the dude's a stick. I don't see him having a very long (or successful) career in the NFL...
  24. I should have added the caveat of "prior to January 3rd, 2013." I think it was Promo who upthread said Brandon's just the latest target for people who are frustrated beyond their ability to comprehend and deal with it and need a (another) scapegoat. To paraphrase a former Secretary of Defense, "there is no 'there' there." There are a lot of things that could've broken a different way over the past decade-plus. To blame it on one guy is inane.
