  1. Before we get too down on the D, can somebody tell me the ToP through the first 3 quarters? Our 'O' didn't do the 'D' any favors through the first 45 minutes of the game.
  2. It looked pretty clean on TV. His arm did go behind the WR, but considering how the refs chose to ignore a more blatent PI on the short pass to Moulds, it was a pretty shaky call IMO.
  3. They've played four very tough, close games. I see a talented team team that plays hard for their coach, but just commits too many dumb penalties to put it all together. As far as "tearing my world apart," it'd be impossible. I tune out negative nancies and trolls. Life's to short to care what people who always look for the bad think or say. But I imagine that you are somehow finding glee in the Bills' 0-4 start. Now you feel it's your God-given right to tell all of us all how smart you are. And while that probably makes you feel good, it bores me.
  4. I just sat down to watch it and caught the last few Miami offensive plays. Why is a WR kicking the PAT and kickoff? Injury during the game?
  5. I remember the 0-70s all too well. That said, there are two reasons it's in Buffalo's interest for Miami to win today -and why I'm "pulling" for New England to lose: 1-->I think the Bills still have a chance to climb back into the race, and having New England take a loss would be helpful. 2-->I'd rather face the 'Phins on the road after a victory than after another loss. It'll be both team's 3rd consecutive divisional game, and I don't want them (Miami) to have the prospect of getting their first win, and getting it at home against a huge division rival, to provide extra motivation for them next week.
  6. First off, welcome aboard! I agree with you in that it all depends on the line. But Teague's injury and his subsequent replacement scare the livin' daylights out of me. I'm more concerned that Tucker makes some blocks and proper blitz pick-up calls, because I have a feeling NYJ is going to bring it up the middle to challenge the 2nd string "QB of the OL," which the Center is. I'm bullish on this game, I think they earn a 'W' and start off on a nice little run. And like you said, the 'O' was coming around last week. This week they finish!
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if Willis is used as a change-of-pace back a bit, but I expect we'll see him only to spell Travis again. And I'm OK with that. MM has a team that has played hard in 3 games despite some bad calls, bad breaks, and occassional lapses. I think they need a shot of confidence, and I think one way MM gives it is to let TH take the load of the carries, and let WM get maybe 3 or 4 carries, maybe a pass his way. I've posted elsewhere that the level of frustration must be through the roof in that locker room, and I think that when a team is as close to being very good as the Bills are yet still lose 3 close games, the last thing they need is the coach to start changing everything up. IMO, they need to keep feeding TH the ball and let him make some plays against the team he has traditionally done very well against. It'll likely be a close game, but by sticking with TH and "the plan," a win will immediately erase all of the frustration and negativity in the locker room, and looking at the schedule, could very well start us off on a nice little run.
  8. A Bills win today will be huge. Get the ol' monkey off our backs and get a division win you're right, we do need this one. Have fun, be safe, and make some noise in there sid.
  9. In Ray's defense, he did say the unit was playing "fairly" well. Me, I think they're coming along, but nobody can talk me out of my opinion that Teague has greatly inproved and has been playing well. He'll be missed against NYJ. I expect them to do alot of blitzing up the middle to challenge Tucker...
  10. King stevestojan of the stevestojan pile, as it were
  11. These two statements seem to contradict each other. I don't recall them beheading westerners before we went in. They're doing it now in protest (albeit a seriously twisted and misguided protest) of our presence. Simply put, they're doing it because we're there. I'm not debating whether we should or shouldn't be there, but the reason they're doing it seems fairly obvious to me.
  12. Is this close enough? Satisfied. It was twelve days ago in a pub. Night was near. I was on me fourth pint of their best Irish beer When a thought quickly struck me of all I hold dear. So I went on outside to the hill with my beer. As for friends I've had many I ne're walked alone, And a few were like family just as much as me own They helped in times troubled and made happiness known. And they gave me a young heart I've never outgrown, Well, the evening was leaving and the sun said goodbye. I thought of me past and I smiled with a sigh. Oh, I had no regrets nay a reason to cry. So I drank me beer down 'till the glass all was dry. Well, I smelled all the flowers I've left none to behind. I've told more the truth than I've told fib or lie And I hope when you find me in the hills where I'll lie That it'll always be said that I died satisfied.
  13. Oh I ignore them, but I hear the taunts, and they cut me-right to my soul. It's starts out with "Nice skirt," because they're too ignorant to know it's called a kilt. Then you hear "Nice purse," but they don't know it's called a sporran. Then it's "Nice tap-dance shoes," but they're called ghillie brogues. Then they start in with the sheep-herder jokes and "The Drunken Scotsman" song lyrics. It hurts man. It hurts bad...
  14. Just another way for the man to hold me down.
  15. I read that somewhere that they were found guilty of breaking several laws. The promoted fights without the authorization and licensure of their state's gaming commission, nor was the "bout" or it's contestants insured. The court also frowned upon their taking advantage of handicapped, learning disabled, and retarded people. Lastly, they didn't pay tax on their income.
  16. 2 college-aged kids find homeless people and give them a few bucks to smash their head against brick walls, break bottles over their own heads, or attack other bums. They videotape it and sell the videos. Certain people find it entertaining.
  17. I thought Teague has played rather well through the first three games. The Jags and Raiders are huge up the middle, and he held his own. He seemed to be doing well last week before he was injured. He gets my vote for most improved OL, I wouldn't move him.
