  1. Good point Jamie. Lindell makes it a little too exciting, doesn't he? I hope he can put the inconsistency behind him, I have a feeling we'll be needing him to win one (or two) for us this year.
  2. That was a fun debate, but since they hired MM, don't you owe me a beer?
  3. You missed the part where he tore a new arse for the O in the NYJ game, didn't you? FWIW: They went out and scored 2 TDs on their next two possessions after the "paint dried."
  4. For every call you think was bad, I can tell you why a lack of execution was the culprit, and then tell you about two other plays that won the chess match against the D (good call by TC & MM), but a penalty, missed block, or dropped pass prevented it from being successful (the players screwed the pooch). Remember that long 3rd down run WM had for a first vs NYJ? Fooled everyone, didn't it? It was a great call because (drumroll please)... IT WORKED! Imagine if an LB, S, or CB shot through and tackled WM after a gain of say, 3 yds. The same Mon Morn QBs who praised that "gutsy" call would be telling us all how hard MM is making it for us to win games. Regardless of YOUR thoughts on the actual play I cited above, you and I both know that solid execution (there's that word that hold players accountable again), or a lack thereof, goes a long way in making a called play good or bad.
  5. If you've read my posts (under CDCampy) over the years, you'd know that I feel the coaches job is to put the players in a position to: A-->make plays, and B--> win games. I don't care who praises the coaches, I can't control it. So if you're upset about BB in NE getting too much 'pub,' I'd agree. The players play. BB does do a great job of implementing D schemes, and putting his players in the best spots to perform letters A & B above, but those guys go out and make the play/win the game. They deserve the credit IMHO. So when the Bills go on a run, you'll see my posts and I'll be posting from the same perspective I always have. "The players did/didn't execute (I know, profanity 'round these parts) the coach's plan, and the coach's plan was/wasn't solid."
  6. Oh? Name one instance where he was "very vocal" about a cut. When, exactly, has he "pounded his chest" as a show of power over a cut player?
  7. I will. He and his staff have done a great job putting us in positions to win games. His players, (you know, the guys ACTUALLY PLAYING the game ie, the guys who hold, miss tackles, go offsides, drop passes, miss blocking assingments, et al) have let him -and us- down.
  8. What a load of stevestojan. Does he think of this crap on his own, or does he get ideas from the Donahoe Haters Anonymous meetings? That website sucks. No offense to you HelloNewman, but do yourself a favor and stop wasting your time on that crap and find a different "source." The one you used above is a joke.
  9. He called you and told you that, eh? Gimme a break...
  10. I was one of the guys that wanted MM here after doing a little research on him. I think he'll be a very good coach for a very long time in Buffalo, an as ya'll said, it's only 1/4 of the way through his rookie campaign. But look what's he's done: He's gone after a 4th overall draft pick (MW), cut a popular player (Shaw) for what by all accounts is poor practice habits and to send a message, and chewed the everliving stevestojan out of the 'O' last week, who then took their next two possesions in for TDs. He's already doing very well IMO. Too bad his players have let him down in 3 of the 4 games so far...
  11. Yup. That was cheesy alright! But I agree, I think the worse the weather, the better that is for us - and conversely, worse for the 'Phins. Remember, they're either going with a banged up QB or a 3rd stringer, and they don't have a true starting calibre RB. It bodes well for us.
  12. So to simplify my argument XBox = First person shooters / Sports games / Online if you can afford it PS2 = RPG's / Wider Variety / Free Online Capablitites It all just comes down to what you prefer. Sorry if this was too in-depth.... but it is my job after all. 70157[/snapback] No big argumument from me, but Morrowind, Star Wars KOTR, and Fable are all dynamite RPGs, and they're available ONLY on the xbox.
  13. Rockstar has an exclusive with Sony, that's the reason for the delay in it being released to xbox, similar to Splinter Cell for one, which was out on xbox long before it made it's way to other consoles. It's simply part of the business, and no single console will always get all of the games first. Tightened collision detection -like bullets hitting you THROUGH A WALL were part of the PS2 version. For giggles, I used the exact same wall (ramp near the mall) for cover, and I didn't get hit once by a bullet through the wall. That, to me anyway, makes it a better version to play. Just my opinon.
  14. I guess this is the daily "Let's suspend reality for awhile" thread...
  15. Great news dib! You're in my thoughts.
  16. Your personal feelings about him aside, the Bills have said from day 1 that you need two solid backs. Plus -Willis has looked less than spectacular this year to say the least. What's he averaging, 2-3 yds/carry?
  17. Are the "trade rumors" from any source other than internet message boards? Is there a Bflo/Roch TV station reporting any of these rumors? I ask because I'm pretty skeptical they move TH during the season...
  18. Higher resolution including wide screen HD support, faster load times, and like GTA III/VC, they fix things like shoddy collision detection, graphical tearing, etc... I had GTA III on PS2, and trust me, it looks (and plays) much better on the xbox version.
  19. I don't recall that exact play, but by the way you described it, it sounds like it was most likely a zone-blocking scheme.
  20. This thread from last week should answer the question. B)
