  1. Ouch is right. It pains me that people actually believe that rubbish too. Here are the first of many articles I came across that validates Kerry's claim. Leesburg, FL The Daily Commercial - Online Edition Detroit Free Press
  2. Maybe a local guitar player can bring his amp and a mic to Hammers. I bet a 30W amp would be plenty loud. I'd bring mine but I kinda' feel like I drag enough stuff up from VA. I totally missed the cups and didn't realize we had ticket girls last year, but having been to all of them I can say that they do keep getting bigger and better!
  3. Throughout history haven't wars tended to provide a short-term boost to the economy as the military-industrial complex gears up to feed the war machine?
  4. Yeah, a lot like that That actually sounds like a pretty interesting read. Have you read it?
  5. It's nice to have a coaching staff that is actually open to utilizing their players' strengths.
  6. That converted center was a converted left tackle first.
  7. I had double-checked them at FactCheck - and I noticed they said the same thing as far as requesting the attendance records. And I abso-frickin'-lutely believe that if it were of any real benefit to him that they would have been used. But kinda' like Bush's reserve service we'll never really know, we can only make assumptions.
  8. I disagree. I could offer an alternate history and change whatever I want to as a writer of fiction. That's where the whole suspension of reality that is inherent in works of fiction comes in to play. It's what makes works of fiction er... fictional.
  9. Didn't you mean 'non-fiction' writers? A friend of mine, a university professor, has had over 20 works of fiction published or produced (he writes novels and plays), and many many more that haven't. He's been encouraging me to consider writing historical semi-fiction, and in talking with him he says that there's surprisingly little time spent in research. He credits the internet for cutting down on the investment of time in fact-checking, and that in fiction, he "creates the world."
  10. I just double checked - the stats you give are for public hearings only. The actual Sen Intel Committee meetings are closed to the public and the records aren't a matter of public record. As such, saying he wasn't at any of the meetings isn't entirely accurate.
  11. I had been all over FactCheck, had subscribed to their email newsletter in the run-up to the election and saw where both of them were plenty full of shiite, but I didn't realize that he missed every meeting following WTC-1. I know I'm setting up a punchline or two, but I wonder what he was up to or what he was doing. I mean, it is the Sen Intel Committee, and we had just been the target of a terrorist action. Learn something new everyday. Glad I didn't vote for him
  12. Witty retort. Color me impressed. </sarcasm>
  13. Current: 36 Expectancy: 79.9 Better than I thought it'd be.
  14. I don't believe Sully does. Ken might, but I don't recall seeing them on his website. I pasted his contact info from my address book below - Give him a call, he's got a lot of stuff that never makes it to his website. Sports Wearhouse 629 Exchange Street Buffalo NY 14210 Contact: Ken Tel1 :716-854-1667 Tel2: 716-852-0144
  15. IMO, if it's done for some selfish motivation, then yeah, it probably is more than a little hypocritical. But if it's done for the infant, I'm of the belief that having the seal of Christ put upon an infant and asking for God's blessing of him (or her) can never be a bad thing.
  16. He had a website up before, but I think it must have got to be too much for him to stay on top of. I have some friends down here that claim they have called him several times but they can never reach him and they haven't had their calls returned. All that said, I stop by Sully's store when I'm up there, and mentioning Hammer does knock a few bucks off the total, or sometimes he kicks in some freebies. I think he gets a little too busy sometimes, but he is a good guy and he isn't out to screw people. When I buy online I buy from Ken at nflnut.com. Not a very fancy website, but he has some good deals and ships quickly.
  17. Glad somebody got it. Hum the song and read LA's post -I think it's a missing verse to Werewolves of London. the other suitcase contained one order Happy #3 Egg Foo Yung Side rice, no eggroll and one order Lucky #7 House Lo Mein Chicken friend rice, two eggroll. He was delivering take-out to Bush And went to the wrong address. Ah-hoo Werewolves of London
  18. Kerry=senator Senate - upper house of Congress Delay=representative House - lower house of Congress They're both congressmen.
  19. He got more votes than anybody save for one, and that's all that matters.
  20. Never read it, but I was under the impression it was about the continuation of Christ's lineage and a Christian thing, but it sounds like you guys read it. It's a Roman catholic based book and not applicable to all Christians?
  21. But he's a pretty bad quarterback which is the postion we needed to fill.
  22. I admire their enthusiasm. (mom always said if you can't say anthing nice... )
